Côte - Covent Garden

Cote is a great brand and we often choose it when we go places because the food is excellent and the service normally great. However yesterday the front of house staff were really hopeless, the service in general was slow, the white wine was not chilled and we were disappointed. It felt as though they just didn't care because the passing trade in London are mostly tourists and not returning guests.

On a Saturday evening, the restaurant was packed with pre-theatre customers but we experienced the usual friendly and efficient service and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Good food and value, friendly atmosphere and customer service, can’t fault it. Thank you for a nice time and great value. Definitely will come back.

Great service, friendly staff helped us find a quiet table on a busy night - my mother is hard of hearing and struggles with noisy places. The waitress was very kind and helpful. Our food was lovely. A great convenient place to go in Covent Garden, minutes from National Portrait Gallery, for reliably good brassiere food, atmosphere and service. I had the pea and broadbean risotto which was tasty and fresh.

Excellent friendly and prompt service, good food, buzzy atmosphere. Quite reasonable prices considering the location near theatres. Definitely need to book in advance for pre-theatre dinner.

Great place to grab a pre-theatre dinner: quick, friendly, great value set menu too. Service was pleasant and efficient. Enjoyed our meal - was very good value.

Pre theatre dinner so prompt service was great, the food hot and well presented. The tables were very tightly packed in and the noise level high, so at 7pm on a Friday evening its not the place for a quiet meal. I would go back as inexpensive and convenient pre theatre. Take care to book at this time.

Service excellent. Food good, but like a lot of Côte restaurants they are noisy. Why nothing to absorb the noise? It is difficult to have a conversation.

Very friendly service. Warm greeting as soon as you arrive, they very attentive and not too far away should you need more wine. The food is excellent as well as the presentation. I must go to place!

Very busy due to our trimming being between theater matinee performances and evening shows so service was slow but friendly. Food was good standard as usual.

Lovely atmosphere, great food wonderful service. This is our third time at this restaurant and we certainly would go again next time where in Covent Garden.

Although very busy we were very well looked after with prompt pre show attention and first class food, served by very attentive and friendly staff.

Excellent waitress who gave us a quiet table, just as we'd asked, and was very attentive. I had meant to book at St Martin's Lane - confusing, as two Cote restaurants are called Covent Garden branches. Very good food, and reasonable prices - good atmosphere!

The welcome, the speedy service, the friendly waiters, the hot and delicious food once again reveals the exceptional quality of this restaurant. Would heartily recommend to all.

A great meal as usual. The fillet steak with peppercorn sauce was just superb. Had the frozen berries with warm white chocolate sauce for dessert.......wow! Staff were friendly and we loved the atmosphere in the restaurant.

Unfortunately the evening we ate at Cote was not as satisfactory as we had hoped. We were sat fairly close to the door and every time it opened freezing air circulated. We had to eat with our coats on!

We always enjoy our lunch at Cote, the food is very good value and the service excellent. There is no pressure to eat quickly to make way for the next customers.

yself and a friend went for a meal after going to a matinee on Sunday afternoon, knowing the restaurant would be busy we pre booked a table for 3.45pm. In fact when we arrived the restaurant was extremely quiet, the waiting staff were extremely attentive, the food and service was up to the excellent standard I have come to expect at this branch of cote.

A warm, friendly atmosphere which was especially welcoming on a cold, windy and wet evening. The waiter looking after out table was helpful and efficient and the pre-theatre menu was nicely prepared and excellent value for money.

Excellent food & service.This restaurant is ideally placed for several of the London west end theatres.In out case only a few yards from the Theatre Royal in Drury Lane.

Staff absolutely delightful. Food very good to excellent. Very good range of choice for starters and main courses. Didn`t have a pudding. Pleasant, airy restaurant. Altogether, a very pleasant experience.

Took my mum, wife and children for a birthday supper. All our food was great, the staff couldn't have been more friendly, though as it was a very busy Saturday night the service could have been a bit quicker. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Great atmosphere and food at a reasonable price. My Mum found the leak starter too tough, but the chocolate pots more than made up for it.

One of my favourite restaurants in London, especially when I suggest where to eat. The staff is Great and the food is always amazing and tasty. I took a friend for late lunch and she was thoroughly pleased that she informed me that she went back two weeks later. Lunch was nice and unrushed. Perfect start to wonderful evening.

Efficient and friendly service even though the restaurant was very busy. Food was a good standard and choices of specials were tempting. Did not feel any pressure to hurry our meal. Will definitely return!

Absolutely brilliant place! We had a fantastic late breakfast for my mum's 70th birthday. Staff were amazing and attentive. Really reasonable prices and food was delicious. No complaints whatsoever... fantastic!

Good food, good wine and friendly and efficient service. Always a friendly ambience whether the restaurant is full or less crowded. My party eat at Cote regularly and will continue to do so with enthusiasm.
