The service is quick and efficient but always with a happy smile . Whatever we all ate the food was delicious . The menu is varied enough for everyone’s taste and budget . It is a place where you can happily arrange to meet friends and know that they will all enjoy the experience

Well served by our waiter and the rest of the staff but there was a small inaccuracy on our order. We asked for calamari but with garlic mayo instead of tartare sauce. yes we were told but we were served the tartare sauce. a small blot on an otherwise good evening.

Excellent food, efficient service, the staff was very accommodating after we informed them that we have to attend for a performance. The chef was also very accommodating for our extra demand of extra hot on soup! Just delicious.

Soup starter was not hot. Calamari was over cooked. Food standard was not great. Service was very rushed. We decided to leave early without dessert. Went to another Côte Brasserie at Christmas and everything was great so expected the same level of food and service from this one but was very disappointed.

Having written to say I was rather unhappy with my experience at Cote, Covent Garden, last Saturday, I was delighted this week to receive an extremely apologetic and sincere email from the Manager, Ben, hoping I would return and offering me a voucher. I was already booked in to go back again today as it happened and was greeted very warmly and personally by managers Tom and Ben and had the best table in the restaurant (56) which I've had before, so that was a good start. The service was exceptionally attentive, unrushed and good food and I was really impressed with the fact that our meal was on the house by way of compensation for the previous week. Well done Cote for training your managers and staff to respond effectively and promptly to my review last week and of course, I will now be returning rather than finding another restaurant in Covent Garden to meet my friends. Well done all! Sue Stamp

I have to say that I was a little bit disappointed really . Service was good , however we had to ask for water when I know for sure that this should of been the first thing on our table as soon as we sat down , however that's only a minor detail . The food was the issue really . Overly salted calamari and the mussels we had as a starter were definitely not fresh ...really fishy , 6 pieces , one closed up , drowned in some wine sauce . Main dishes as well as deserts ok . Really frustrating as I do come to you're establishment quite allot so I was expecting a better experience really . Maybe the Covent Garden needs some improvement A

We were warmly welcomed and invited to choose which table we would prefer. Having just joined the Cote mailing club we had a voucher for a free bottle of wine and chose the syrah. It was so nice we ordered a couple more. The three of us chose two starters three mains and one dessert. All were well presented and very tasty. The rib-eye steak and grilled bass fillets were particularly lovely. Service was unobtrusive, friendly and efficient. At around £43 pounds each including service charge, great value for money!!!

The food was good, the second & much nicer waiter changed our table to a window one, which was excellent, although he forgot the mustard my husband asked for with his ribeye steak. However overall a good experience, the only real problem was the noise, the tables are packed far too close to each other and all the waiters rushing around, working really hard as it was so busy (but it was a Saturday).

Our experience was as good as we could have hoped for a in busy restaurant in the middle of "theatre-land" The waitress was really efficient , the food was prompt, hot, and tasty and at a reasonable price. An all-round nice start to great day seeing Tina Turner

The only problem is finding the restaurant in Covent Garden. There is a big board listing all the cafes, shops etc with a map, not far from the tube station, but Cote is not on the list. Why is that? Fortunately someone in the theatre we were going to gave us directions but we were late for our booking. We do go to Cote a lot because we like the food, but find that the tables for two are a bit too close together.

Efficient and polite service and pleasant ambience. Food good. Visit was let down by the appalling toilet facilities- cramped, filthy dirty, discarded tissue and empty toilet paper rolls all over the floor. Deeply unpleasant and left me wondering on the cleanliness in other areas.

What a gem of a place. Delicious food and great service. We popped in for a meal on our way to a comedy club ( on the Tuesday) and the food was so tasty and very well cooked, we decided to cancel another booking we had along the road on the Friday evening and go back there.

We had a lovely breakfast - there were five of us in the party. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The table (pre-booked) - was set up and we were offered water as soon as we sat down. The order was taken and the food arrived in timely fashion. It was hot and the ingredients were good quality. We were offered additional cups of coffee / tea as appropriate. All in all a lovely experience.

Wonderful staff. Manager great, he managed my being stupid with time for table, stupid me, but all OK. Lovely food, great service, and no rush to finish. Espressos to finish, asked if any truffles,--no. Manager produced amazing chocolate pot, the 3 of us shared. I always have a super time at Tavistock Street. Love to everyone there, Graham.

We did not stay to eat as the chaos was unacceptable. We had booked a table for 6.30 but this was not available. We had requested a spacious table hoping to enjoy room for a comfortable 3 course meal with aperitifs, bottles of water and wine. We were eventually shown to a tiny table, the gap between the tables was miniscule (being a larger lady I could not even get through the gap). The table was by the door which meant we had to keep our coats on, it was that cold. So many people were crowded in the entrance area and around our table, it was uncomfortable for us. We were given complimentary drinks and assured we would be transferred to a larger table. After 30 minutes this had not happened and we left, never to return to Cote.

We visited this restaurant for the first time three days ago, it was suggested by a family member who informed us that the chain constantly provided excellent food. As we were going to the theatre tonight, we decided to return. The ribeye steak I had on the first visit, was excellent, one of the best I’ve had in years. Today I had the fish stew, the ingredients were fresh and it tasted excellent. I must also mention the french onion soup, which was good, though slightly too sweet for me, although my wife thought it was perfect. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

Unhappy experience . Booked table for 3 online and downloaded Saga Wine offer code. But when presented this on arrival was told it could only be redeemed if the 3 people had a main course from the A la Carte menu. In the end we all had more than a main and the bill came to £61.76 for lunch but no wine. On a previous occasion 3 Kir Royales were served graciously without the third degree at the start. As the complimentary bottle of wine is offered for just 2 people dining I think the waiter should have been more considerate. Spoilt the occasion and will not wish to repeat it.

A lively and friendly atmosphere matched by extremely helpful & accommodating staff. Food, as always, is excellent value for money and consistently hits a high standard. Cote Brasserie is, in my opinion, the most consistent and reliable brand of restaurants around.

Unfortunately we were cold at each table offered and it was only the fourth time we were offered another table, that we were warm. Therefore we accepted that we were in a corner at the end of an alcove of tables, my husband facing a wall (we decided to call it the naughty table). This time we were finally warm enough. The food was delicious and the staff were excellent, but as this was a special treat, it was rather spoiled by the lack of comfortable warm tables.

Although the food was good as usual and the service excellent, our experience was let down by the quality of the Ladies toilets, that are falling apart and in poor condition. This is the second visit in a month and they have not improved from the first visit. Toilets are equally improtant to the experience of someone visiting a restaurant

May 20 was my birthday and I had lunch with 2 pals. The promised complimentary kir royals were provided. Very nice! The food we all had was very well received; it included starters of very well cooked calamari, mains of asparagus risotto, a breton fish stew (mine) and mussels in a cream-based sauce. My pal who had the mussels showed the waiter the closed one remaining on his plate and said that it should perhaps have been filtered out in the kitchen. When we got the bill, the cost of his dish had been deducted as a goodwill gesture. Amazing! The coffee I ordered was a decaff espresso. Bizarrely what I got was barely a thimbleful, much smaller than even the most 'ristretto' espresso one would get in a bar in Italy. The restaurant in Tavistock St is quite large and, as it was Monday, a lot of tables were free. We were placed right next to a table occupied by 4 or 5 very garrulous ladies talking at high volume. I suppose we should have asked to move to another table! But never mind. On the whole many thanks to Cote where I've eaten many times and will continue to eat. Pietro di Bembo
