Lively atmosphere, friendly efficient staff and great food. We ate from the set menu..three courses for £14:95. Tuna rillette starter with toasted sourdough, steak frites for main followed by crumble and chocolate pot. All delicious...perfect for a pre theatre meal.
Great place. Been here several times - never disappoints! Good value too!!
Meet some old work colleagues for a long lunch. Cote offer a delicious, great 2 or 3 course deal which everyone enjoyed. And best of all we were able to natter and catch up without feeling hurried by staff. Overall a great experience.
It was our first visit to Cote and we were not disappointed . Although extremely busy and obviously popular , the service was excellent and the food was delicious. We opted for the 3 course pre theatre menu, it had something for everyone and each course was well presented. Will definitely return .
Staff consistently helpful and friendly, and welcoming to my mother in a wheelchair. Food hot, tasty and excellently presented. Very well priced. All this whilst operating a full house. Thank you
Good value food in a West End location, consistently prepared across the chain of restaurants. Very quick service with plenty of staff on hand to assist with any requests. Recommended.
Pre theatre menu great value. Service was prompt on arrival but we had a long wait for the bill and when our change didn’t turn up we had too ask for it. Not really good enough.
Usually very good but yesterday disappointing. Crisp Whitebait was not crisp - tasty but too soft. Also, the Risotto was too stodgy. Will use it again as generally good and service ok.
Great food as usual at reasonable price. Went Al A Carte this time and was not disappoint. Always a good Wine List. Wish there were more outlets in Derbyshire near me.
It was okay. Slow service. My partners meal was very nice however I had the risotto- the rice was undercooked, the garlic hadn’t been cooked out and the butternut squash was rock hard. My partner was also trying to propose to me and as special and beautiful as it was it was difficult to hear him as it was so load inside the restaurant.
Very good food - and reasonably priced. An extensive wine list and polite, attentive staff. We booked online the week before and got the time we wanted. Have been to other locations with similar great experiences. Would definitely recommend the Cote chain.
The restaurant was buzzing on the hottest day of the year so far. Staff did an amazing job in the heat - a great meal, great service and great value. Cote is always our restaurant of choice when visiting London.
I always enjoy the meals at this restaurant the service is exellent the staff are always polite and the prices are very good. I will always recommend this Restaurant to everybody.
Lovely food. We really enjoyed the post theatre menu. It was good value with a glass of wine. We will be definitely coming again. Thank you
Booked for an early dinner pre theatre. It was a beautiful sunny evening and the restaurant was buzzing. As its on a corner and large windows which opened on both sides there was a lovely breeze blowing through the restaurant keeping us cool.it was very busy but our waiter was calm and efficient and our food arrived without delay. Everything we ordered was delicious and we all agreed we would definitely eat there again
Nice atmosphere and we had a good table for six by the open window. Food was very nice especially the veal and sea bass. Will visit again
The staff were very helpful.. our tour finished early and we turned up half an hour ahead of time, and they were very accommodating Thank you
Really nice welcoming visit. The manager was really pleasant. Food was lovely and exceptional value for money. Very busy when we arrived. Glad we booked
Food delicious as always and exceptionally good value. However, the wine which we ordered as soon as we arrived did not arrive with us until halfway through our starters, in spite of have reminded the staff. irritating when the wine was supposed to be our aperitif!
After a disappointing experience on our last visit, we’re happy to say that both the quality of the food and the service were both excellent.
We were attending a Matinee @ Covent Garden So booked a table for two. Upon arrival we received a warm and friendly welcome and were shown to our table. Our waiter was excellent, and brought the complementary filtered water immediately, which as it was one of the hottest days of the year so far was most welcome. Cote have excelled themselves with this months set menu. There are so many delicious dishes it is very difficult to make a choice. For starters I chose the white bait & my partner the pair & endive salad, & for main course I had a steak & salad, my partner had the salmon fish cakes. The food was beautifully presented, and served immediately after cooking i.e. the white bait and French fries were beautifully crisp, the salads fresh and the dressing superb. All in all this made for the perfect experience, The food, The service, and the atmosphere on a very warm sunny April day made for a wonderful meal.
Great service and lovely salads sitting on pavement in the warmth of a sunny evening. Gets very busy but the staff cope well. Proper food even though a chain.
After the rush of the theatre goers I think the staff were exhausted as we were rather neglected. I love Cote but this wasn’t my best experience.
The staff at Cote were great. The restaurant was very busy and our table of three was rather close to the adjoining table of four. As we were leaving one of the men (not young) at the adjoining table made it clear that he was glad we were leaving. His comment was echoed by one of the women. They were so rude without any cause at all. I felt quite shocked at the attack (we were three women) and told a member of staff. I emphasised that this was in no way the problem of the staff. We visit this restaurant frequently and have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. However the incident did rather colour our overall enjoyment. We were given a card for three kir royals next time we visit the restaurant which was not expected but very much appreciated.
Staff are great, but the food was disappointing. I am a big fan of Cote generally but am concerned that the standard is dropping. Everything I ate was so,so.
This was a wonderful experience. From the minute we entered the restaurant, we felt at home - all staff that we met were very friendly and helpful, the meal was delicious aand, since we had said that we wanted a slow & relaxed meal, staff let us have just that without rushing us, despite the fact that it was a busy lunchtime. Thanks so much.
Its nice and the food was good, but it was too noisy - I couldnt hear the person next to me well. The toilets were too small and had no toilet paper.
Excellent pre theatre 3 course dinner for under £15. We particularly enjoyed the iced berries. Very helpful staff on this occasion. Only problem is rather cramped seating.
Great place. Staff friendly, relaxed, reliable and helpful. Quality and freshness of foods very good. Decor and atmosphere soothing and very relaxing. One of my favorite places near the office.
I do not agree with service charge the waiter did not make any effort, I’m a waitress for beefeater no service charge I make more effort and more friendly.
Chairs and tables uncomfortably crammed into the restaurant with barely any room to move. My husband had.to wedge himself in to eat his food. Portions of fries were tiny in comparison to the Core Brasserie at Hays Galleria. Don't bother to visit Tavistock Street branch - it's too crammed, uncomfortable, rushed to make decisions with your menu orders and staff who want you in and out in a flash.
Had, as always, a very nice time in the restaurant. The food, wine, service and ambiance were all great. I really enjoy the 2/3 courses lunches, they are perfect for ladies who lunch!
Restaurant is really convenient for theatres. We could see the Theatre Royal Drury Lane from our window table. Food was well presented and good value. Great choice of wines and friendly, efficient staff.
Great set lunch menu with option to have two or three courses. Quick and attentive service. Great for a quick work lunch in the center of London
The restaurant was very crowded with concert and theatre goers wanting to be fed and get to their performance on time. The staff did not panic and served everyone efficiently and with a smile. The food was excellent.
The service was really poor. When we arrived at the restaurant we was told our table was delayed and we had to wait outside. We ordered drinks whilst we was waiting but these never arrived. After 15 mins of waiting outside we went back in to see when our table would be ready and found out our table was ready. Why did no one tell us whilst we was waiting out side? Once inside we was met by a waitress that was really unprofessional and rude. The whole experience was unpleasant and the reason why I will not be returning.
A well positioned restaurant. Friendly staff, interesting food and nice wine which was complimentary. Relaxed atmosphere and worth a vsit. I will go again. Thank you.
Great service. Food was excellent and staff were kind friendly and attention ve throughout the whole evening. Overall very enjoyable and highly recommend to all going. 10/10
This is the second time we've been to Cote on Tavistock Street. Good location for Covent Garden/Leicester Square. As always the quality is always good and the service too. We took our friends along today and it was their first time visit to a Cote. They loved it and are now converts. Think that says it all!
Lovely pre theatre meal off that menu. Great service and good value for money. Would not hesitate to return. Restaurant full on Thursday at 5.15pm good job we booked!
The 'flash' steak was a little tougher than usual (normally it is superb) and after just a small comment we were offered either a replacement or a free dessert. Very good response and unexpected. Will return and continue to recommend.
Great food, good value and excellent service despite being a busy Saturday night in Covent Garden. Thoroughly recommend the fillet steak, delicious and reasonably priced, will be a regular for us!
Food was very good but let down by front of house. Arrived early and were turned away briskly. There is no bar or waiting area. It is very confusing that some mains come with potatoes/ veg, whereas others don't and the waitress didn't point this out or ask if we wanted any sides. As a result, the veal escalope (on the specials) arrived with no vegetables or potatoes and we had to ask for some ratatouille which arrived halfway through the meal. The potato gratin with the pork belly (and the ratatouille when it finally arrived) didn't come with any serving spoons and since service was so slow, we didn't bother asking for it but resorted to tipping it onto the plates. Not very dignified dining. In one hour, we only had time to eat a main course.
Great food but service was very erratic and slow... slow to take order/ask for a drinks order, fries came separately to steaks, had to go and find someone to bring the bill in the end as we had a theatre show to get to. No one particularly apologetic or bothered.
Another excellent meal at this very popular and lively restaurant. Service was a little slower than normal because they were so busy and our coffees were so late we had to leave before they arrived. No matter - the charming staff were very apologetic and gave me a card for complimentary coffees the next time we visited - which will be in a week or so. The food, as always, was well presented and very tasty with a wide range of choice. I must again mention the staff who were a delight, helpful and attentive.
Lovely to see the new pre-theatre menu. Plenty of summer flavours, whilst retaining some essential favorites. As always; great, friendly, prefessional service from the Tavistock team.
Great set breakfast as usual. Great location just off Covent Garden.
As usual Côte delivered in terms of good quality food and prices. Had an awesome lunch and the staff were lovely.
I had booked a table for 5.30p.m.It is a very popular time, and the restaurant was crowded, which made it hard for the staff to keep on top of everything. They were trying hard, and the food was good as always, but I wonder if some thought needs to be given to how many the restaurant can hold at any one time.
Pre theatre dinner great values and delicious. Friendly waitress. Only problem tables so close together, trying to get out from table without sitting on next tables dessert. I am not a large person.
