Lively and friendly Brasserie in the heart of Covent Garden. Ideal for pre-theatre supper, but best to book as it’s so popular. Usual wide menu and dependable service.
We had great service and a really lovely meal at Cote Tavistock Street. We had the three courses set menu which was really good value
Usually I dine post performance at Cote so am limited to alc and specials. Last night my schedule allowed me to sample the pre theatre menu. Usual high Cote standards but at a very attractive price. Restaurant buzzing which, compared to empty tables I saw in similar bistros nearby when I left, shows how many other people seem to feel the same as me!
Excellent service, food and wine and a very pleasant ambience. Lovely and great value too and I will go back To the Tavistock Street restaurant as soon as I can
Good food, very good service, good prices. Also, conveniently close to the theatres and Opera House. Like other Cotes, a bit noisy, but not unbearably so.
Delicious food at any price, and this is cheap, particularly for central London. Charming and helpful staff sorted out a mix up with our order with comped drinks and desserts. I love this place.
Speedy service for pre theatre. Good menu selections especially for gluten free. Cheerful service and good value for money. Reliable restaurant for Covent Garden area.
Cote gets it right every time and every place. Friendly, efficient, caring service, excellent choices on every menu, good value wine and exceptional value and quality food.
cousin asked me to book a table. We were attending a Matinee @ The Royal Opera House. I booked a table for after the matinee. Upon arrival we received a warm and friendly welcome and were shown to our table. Our waiter and waitress were both excellent, and brought the complementary filtered water immediately, and a kir royale. There are now so many delicious dishes on the set menu and with the addition of the premium set menu for a little extra cost, it is now even more difficult than ever to make a choice. As it was a special occasion we dined ala carte. For starters I had the Charcuterie board & my partner the chicken liver parfait, & for main course I had a steak and fritz, my partner had the cod gudgeons. The food was beautifully presented, and served immediately after cooking i.e. the French fries were beautifully crisp, the salads fresh and the dressing superb. All in all this made for the perfect experience, The food, The service, and the atmosphere on a cold Saturday afternoon in January, really lifted our spirits all together made for a wonderful meal.
Booking System still needs attention. Having acknowledged the confirmation via internet the day before, the page that appears is for another booking. I've noticed before that there is a lack of co-ordination between Quandoo & Côte.
Having been to many of Cote restaurant this was the least enjoyable ithad very packed together tables .The toilet was awful. Having said that the waitresses was lovely
Our waitress was absolutely fantastic. Friendly, helpful, quick. The food was amazing too - I had the beef bourguignon which was delicious. Cannot wait to come back and have it again.
Always use this branch of Cote to meet friends. Food suits everyone and wine list reasonable. Good location for most journeys home. Quick service and staff always helpful.
If you like Cote, this is a great branch. Central location , quick service and well priced food and drink. Can’t really fault it especially for a group of friends.
Excellent fillet steak and side vegetables. matching Cote Du Rhone also very good. Service in a very busy restaurant was of a high standard. Shared a dessert as rather full after main course. Regular customers' of Cote but our first time in this one in Covent Garden - will be back. Thank you. Chris and Mick Baker
Côte never disappoints, it’s reasonably priced, the food is always good and the service is good. If you’re looking for good food and service then you can really go wrong with any of the Côte chain. It’s usually one of my go to restaurants.
Good food in a relaxed atmosphere. Lovely setting for meeting up with friends. Helpful staff who were happy to recommend food and were flexible with the menu.
We arrived after the opera, were warmly welcomed, had delicious food served with a beaming smile. I go to Cote regularly and would recommend it also as good value.
This was a special celebration for a friends birthday we were treated like royalty and our friends were very impressed thank you xx
The restaurant in Tavistock Street was busy as usual. The waitress serving us was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and was great value for money.
Attentive but not intrusive service, happy to let us browse the menu at leisure before placing order. Food was excellent, time between courses just right. Creme caramel so creamy.
As always everything went exceedingly smoothly. Our booked table was ready, the service was as efficient as every and food delicious. The pre theatre menu is just right.
Busy, lively and friendly place for a pre-theatre supper in Covent Garden. Usual wide menu, efficiently served by pleasant staff. Really popular so worth booking.
Great venue for larger groups. Always eat here when meeting friends. Location very central and all tastes catered for. Wine affordable and service quick and efficient. We are never rushed either.
Great location for theatreland and busy atmosphere. Service is quick and efficient. The menu changes but the set menus are always good value. Wine is affordable so no big shocks when the bill arrives. Mixture of larger groups and couples eating pre/post theatre.
Amazing food and good and fast service! I truly recommend this place - so far I have been able to count on the same high quality as in all Cote restaurants in London and wasn't disappointed!
Location, food, service, ambience all lived up to my most optimistic expectations of Cote. Our group of 6 was booked for 12.45 a.m. and we stayed until well after 3.00 p.m. without hassle from the staff.
Always good breakfast great start to the day! Staff always friendly and efficient- great atmosphere especially in the nice weather as you can sit outside.....
As always, good value, good service and good ambiance except for music that was too loud if you actually want to talk to one another!
Friendly but efficient service so were at our ease and comfortable of not being late for our evening entertainment. Were attentive and appeared happy to help - the party came in at different times which they accommodated to without prompting, happy to offer without pushing. Everyone enjoyed what they had ordered. Defiantly will go again.
As always a lovely meal ❤️ shall be back again very soon
Just lovely this place friendly staff and great food shall keep returning
Good set theatre menu with attentive and quick table service.
Very good food, cheerful service and very efficient! Côtes is a very reliable and excellent pre show eating establishment, highly recommended to all and sundry!
Overall the meal was good but one of our friends had the pork belly which was over cooked & very salty. We told the waitress & We were compensated. Surprised about this as a previous review said the same think about the pork belly
Fantastic evening I use this chain all the time and they are consistently very good
Great night as ever we cane with friends who were super impressed x
Always a lovely experience adds a nice addition to an evening at the theatre
Lovely waitress, didn't have to wait and food great value for the money. Service can be variable at this branch of Cote but it was excellent on this occasion.
Pleasant food and service not hurried by the staff .In my many visits to Cote’s I have always find the same. Each time I have booked on line a email was promised to confirm but has never arrived
Loved it! Despite a misunderstanding over booking time and a long queue, they found a space for us, excellent service, food and wine all served with a smile and when we explained we were going to the ballet, they assured us that we could fit in three courses in plenty of time. The pork was delicious and creme caramel sooo good - as was the Cremant de Bourgougne - we'll be back - thank you!
Lovely meal. There was a complaint about one of the courses but this was dealt with very politely and a generous discount was offered. Nice to get such service.
The menu is good and vaired, including a good choice of Vegetarian food. The staff are always friendly and polite and the service is very satisfactory. I always recommend this restaurant to my friends.
Set menu is great value, and quality. Paid the extra £2.50 for the ribeye, and I couldn’t fault it. Anywhere else it would be twice the price, and probably not as good.
As always, we enjoyed an excellent breakfast which set us up for a busy day ahead. Cheerful and efficient service. What more could we ask.
Always very good food, good service and a fun, buzzy atmosphere. Location is excellent too, being so close to Covent Garden, the Strand and nearby theatres.
Met up with friends, excellent service good and varied menu and lovely food at reasonable prices for Covent Garden. Will definitely go again and recommend to friends
Really very noisy. The food was good and the service but it was difficult to have a conversation, which is one of the points of a meal.
The staff at Côte, Covent Garden are charming, the quality of food and friendly ambience is very pleasant. I would certainly visit again - due to it’s busy periods before the start of the nearby shows - always best to book.
Aware always crowded - seated twice, once to avoid a draft and the second meant the crashing of used crockery was noisier than the customers!
