Service was a bit rushed at the beginning but overall very good

The usual Cote excellent food and wine extremely well served

Good meal, excellent staff. Pork belly could have just been a tad crisper but very acceptable.

Fantastic food for the ridiculous price D would be even if it was three times the cost!!!...For me, Tavistock Street, WC2... has the Edge.... Great atmosphere, very well run, great staff.... And I've found out tonight.. Johnny Depp works there is his spare time!!!.... Ha ha ha ha ha brilliant!!

Service only average. Not up to usual Cote standard. To add 12.5% goes to demonstrate that the staff do not have to go over and beyond.

A mixed bag of service. Staff seemed overworked and had too many tables per server. We dealt with 5 servers in total during our three courses. There was a long wait between ordering and the staff seemed to bicker amongst themseleves. They did the best they could and were overall friendly to us.. but the stress showed through. The food is always spot on and we are always happy to come back.. just maybe not to the understaffed Covent garden branch.

Nice food in a friendly atmosphere. Staff very good adapting some of the dishes on menu. Regular customer and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

We have been here many times as it is convenient for the Royal opera. Food was good but one of the choices on the set menu was not available and we were not offered an alternative. On the plus side, when we complained about the unnecessary muzak it was immediately turned off.

great pre-theatre venue. This is a busy brach of Cote early evening, so you have to book. The staff do a good job.

Overall good but it’s quite crowded, noisy and we felt rushed. Offered us a couple free drinks for birthday celebration, only to be charged for it on the bill at the end. Not impressed and had to wait 10 minutes to sort it out. Better communication between staff needed.

Our waiter was very nice but the service could have been more attentive. Had to wait a while to order drinks. The food was delicious, as were our elderflower gin and tonics. There was a very loud table next to us, which was a shame as the restaurant was quite empty as it was fairly late. The table we were given next to the window was lovely, it was a shame the ambience was spoiled by the noise.

Made a mistake and went to the wrong venue so would suggest you make the websites clearer. Have used Cote in Cardiff on a number of occasions and know that we will always get a good meal at the right price and served well. As we are both Coeliac it is important that there is a good GF menu and care is taken.

Very efficient anc courteous service, despite being part of the pre-theatre rush. Menu is excellent value too (2 of us had it, 2 of us went a la carte)

Being visitors to London we were unfortunately a few minutes late for our booking as we struggled with the street map to locate the restaurant and the front of house member of staff was incredibly rude about our tardiness. One seated however the serving staff were incredibly friendly and efficient.

We had booked a table for 6.15pm to meet up with old friends. They had come down by train from Newcastle, and had not had a very good trip with major delays with their train being cancelled at Grantham. However somehow they managed to see the matinee they had booked and then meet us at Covent Garden Tube Station afterwards. The location of this restaurant is very convenient. We were surprised how busy it was when we arrived on a Wednesday. Our reservation was checked, and we were quickly seated. We ordered drinks, and then checked out the menu. We did feel that our waiter was constantly rushing us to order our food. We asked him to come back a couple of times, but on the third occasion we just ordered as we felt a bit uncomfortable with the pressure. The menu is quite extensive. He did not understand some our food requests, especially at the end of the meal when one of guests wanted a type of coffee with Tia Maria, not whiskey. I assume that it was not listed on his hand held pad, but if he had listened, I am sure it could have easily been resolved. There was also a confusion when he was serving our mains, when other dishes were presented which we had not ordered. We all agreed our meals were above average for a chain restaurant. The price was relatively low considering the location. We had a good time, but the service could improve. We would come back.

Had a great experience at Cote. The food was excellent and all three of us thoroughly enjoyed it. The waiting staff was friendly and very efficient...nothing was too much bother. The only slight negative would be the noise level but it got better when the theatregoers left. It would not put me off and I will definitely come back.

We enjoyed our pre-theatre supper which we had planned in advance to allow us plenty of time for a leisurely meal and (given my mobility problems) sufficient time to walk from the restaurant to Covent Garden. Imagine then how irritating it was to be pressured in to ordering only moments after I arrived. When we ordered G & T's while we considered the menu, our waiter assumed that we would not be having wine and cleared the wine glasses. He then insisted that we should order desserts and the same time as we chose our mains. He was certainly in a rush for some reason. The irony of the occasion was that we were kept waiting over long for our main courses so that the manager was prompted to come over an apologise! The food was good and worth the wait. We were still in plenty of time for curtain up at the opera.

Lovely as always. Great food, good wine and good service. What more can you ask?

Our party of five enjoyed our meals from the Prestige Pre-Theatre menu especially the Pork Tenderloin! The service was friendly and efficient but there seemed to be technical glitches with the card reader which slightly delayed our departure. But overall a very enjoyable meal.

Pre booked for pre theatre dinner. Obviously very busy but we were promptly seated and quickly served. I would recommend this Covent Garden restaurant if you are going to a west end show as the staff are all aware of the time pressures. Our seat was in a tiny corner yet we were never missed or ignored. Most importantly the food was good an excellent value for money.

Restaurant is a reasonable size, can get very busy due to the theatre .. next time I’ll book at 7.30 or 8 otherwise it can be hot and noisy .. but the food and service was very good and definitely would go back .

Another great evening with the Team at Cote Tavistock street. They are always charming and the food is top notch. Thank you again

We had another lovely meal at this restaurant. We met up with friends who were visiting a London from the USA and wanted to take them to a nice bistro where we would have good service, food and wine. This is exactly what we had.

Very noisy and rather too warm for comfort. Food was fine but service was nothing special. Not somewhere I would rush back to to be honest.....

The service was fast. Toilets were dificult to get in and out of, without knocking into someone if they were washing their hands. Food was good as expected for one of your restaurants. We always enjoy eating at Cote.

Love it at this restaurant. Never had a bad meal here. Staff are lovely and no matter how busy restaurant is service is always very good.
