I arrived 5 minutes late and was seated straight away, as we were going to the theatre we ordered immediately and our starters came straight away, however once these were cleared away our mains did not follow, after waiting for a while I enquired and was asked if we had ordered fish, I said no and the waiter then went to the till, it seemed as if our mains had not been ordered, after waiting again I asked if they would be long as we had to go, I was told they were on the way, after waiting even longer I asked again and said it was too late as we had to leave, this was ignored and I was told it would be 3 or 4 minutes and the waiter disappeared, after waiting even longer I explained we had to go to a lady in a white shirt, then the food arrived, at this point I didn't feel like eating as I was so frustrated, however my mother was hungry so wanted to at least eat something, then we found she had no fork, I told the waiter this and said I had had enough and wanted to go, to which he just handed a fork and left, at this point I was so angry I told the lady in the white shirt we were going and to get the bill, she didn't charge thankfully because it was such a disaster, the waiter then told be that it was busy! Because of all the commotion I then had to get an uber to get to the theatre on time which we were going to walk to, arrive without having had dinner and i a bad mood (just to add insult to injury this was a birthday treat for my mum)

As always, the food was excellent, and very French. This time I had to ask for the pre-theatre menu as it was not proffered automatically as it always had been before. I hope this was just a “blip”, not a deliberate policy. Otherwise, it was all fine.

As always an enjoyable lunch at Cote Tavistock Street. The service was good and although we changed our table (we were seated with two large groups, noisy but not surprising given the numbers) this was done with a minimum of fuss. I would have given 5 stars had my main course of the spatchcock chicken not been dry/overcooked. Usually very reliable but not this time.

A lovely relaxed evening at an excellent restaurant with a nice atmosphere. We were a party of 11, and the staff worked incredibly hard to provide us with a lovely experience. There was no delay with the food, it was hot, it was all ready together so that no-one had to wait. Everyone said how much they enjoyed it all. Well done to the staff, and we will be returning!

Seated quickly and before our booking time, servers were happy, smiley and helpful. Food was delicious, only downside was that our starters and mains came at the same time which didn't give us much room on the table but also meant the meal wasn't as relaxed in some ways.

We decided to have dinner here after having a great lunch at your St Katharine Docks location earlier today unfortunately the experience wasn’t the same. My wife ordered the Breton chicken after tasting mine at lunch but at this location it wasn’t as good. Also it was supposed to come with frites but there were none. We would have said something but we didn’t realize they were supposed to be there until we finished and were given the menu again to select desert. The manager (Jess, I believe) did offer us 2 Kir Royal if we returned but we are leaving in a day & 2 visits to Cote are enough. The main problem however was with our waiter Jari who didn’t seem interested in taking care of us. After ordering wine we asked for ice, he never brought it, we had to ask another waitress. Also he didn’t take our dinner order timely. The table next to us came after us & their waitress took their order while we were still waiting. We ended up asking her to take our order. Perhaps with a different waiter we would have a different opinion of this location.

We have been to Cote many times and loved it but this time less so as there were less staff and you struggled. We were a table of 10 which probably added extra strain on the staff. Food not quite up to your usual high standard.

Excellent service and food. I particularly liked the waitress asking what sort of wine wanted (light, medium, heavy) and how much tannin. And the wine she brought was just right. Much better than perusing a wine list!

We booked a table for 3 and all had a wonderful meal, took advantage of the free bottle of wine signing up for the news letter. Would have been 6 stars but had to ask for the fish pie to be cooked through was cold in the middle but this didn’t detract from a very enjoyable meal. Service was excellent

Pre-theatre lunchtime meal with 2 adults and 2 small boys - the food was lovely but service far too slow - it took 45 mins from main course to dessert arriving and we had to rush to make it to the show in time which was stressful. In all it took 2 hrs from arrival to departure and for small kids this was torture. Previous pre-theatre meals here have been much faster so hopefully it won't happen again! Cannot fault the food it was delicious.

The service and food was very good despite a short wait albeit it was very busy. Main issue was where we were seated adjacent to the plate and cutlery clearing area. The noise from constant plate crashing and items being literally thrown into the lift. We were keen to leave after the meal due to the noise and left with headaches. In our opinion there should not have been tables for dining so close to this working area!

The waitress we had was very helpful and attentive without being intrusive. I accidentally broke a glass and she dealt with it quickly and efficiently. The food was very nice for a chain restaurant as sometimes chain restaurant food can feel a bit like microwave meals. This was for my birthday with friends and along with the Kia Royals for all, they also gave me a lovely pudding for free. Would recommend.
