Great service & food as per usual - great start to Christmas

Perfect perfect dinner before the opera. Wonderful staff! Delicious food. Very very fast service

We have eaten here several times and have always had a nice meal. Sadly this time I can't say the same. 4 of us were eating and after ordering, 3 meals were servered. We waited a while for the 4th and then I had to get up and find someone to ask for the 4th. When it arrived it was cold and had to be taken back. The sides were very small and also luke warm. I had to ask the server for more drinks and at no time was there an apology. I spoke to the manager and explained my complaints. He did say sorry and adjusted the bill without argument which was nice. I will still return because I think and hope this was a blip.

They've crammed too many tables into this branch. It's a crush to navigate in & out especially pre.theatre & at this time of year with coats & accessories to find places for. There is inadequate provision for this. It must be a nightmare for the Staff but they do cope admirably.

Cote always delivers - good well cooked food, you can hear what the person next to you says, the staff are nice, pleasant ambience and decor.

Consistently good , wine reasonably priced amd all in all great value for money. Only gripe is 12.5% service charge automatically added. Feel this should be discretionary.

Lovely meal & great service. My group needed an extra 2 places & the team were very accommodating, even though it was extremely busy. Thank you Cote!

Being quite early we were given a particularly nice, bright window table. The menu had breadth and interest. Our food was delicious. The waiter was charming as well as efficient. And all that at a very reasonable price. Gold stars!

Very busy with pre Christmas celebrations. Staff all very patient, courteous and attentive. Our pleasure was somewhat marred by an extremely noisy group of five women at the next table - language and laughter very intrusive - but in no way the fault of your staff. Is there a Company policy on behaviour that affects other guests?

Very friendly efficient service. Food good, we found the music a bit too loud so a bit intrusive on conversation.

The atmosphere was great and the staff very professional. Our table was situated along a busy walkway and people where constantly nudging into my chair. The starters were fantastic one of the best onion soups i have tasted only wish there was more of it. My main arrived and i had to return it as it was only warm, i eventually received another which was very hot and enjoyable. Overall a pleasant experience

Food tasty and good value but restaurant is noisy and too few staff so service is slow

The waiter had a very cold demeanor and was not friendly.

We invariably enjoy Cote's offering and always look forward to eating there. Service, speed (we were going to the theatre) and style are 'givens' and we value them all. Two things we didn't enjoy were 1) feeling very packed in, with waiters taking a short cut down the side of our table when there wasn't really room and 2) my wife's rib-eye steak was lacking in flavour and very ordinary. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long, even though the place was full. Excellent service and a great atmosphere.

The waitress was rather poor overall and when pouring the wine AND especially when she got my wife's main course completely wrong.

Busy but good atmosphere. Good food, eventually, had to send steak back as it was cold. No quibble, a new steak and fresh fires, both piping hot arrived very quickly. Good value for money.

Côte is consistently good. Thoroughly enjoyable meal. Tavistock Road is a particularly busy restaurant yet we still had service that would shame many other eateries. Small complaint from one diner that the Gravadlax was a bit too thick but otherwise the usual 10 out of 10 for food, service and good value.

Welcoming waitress. Prawn starter was just warm instead of hot from the oven. Taken away for reheating without an apology. Main course of Pork belly was again just warm. Did not send it back as we were pressed for time before a show. Disappointed- not up to usual Cote standards.

They forgot my coffee and were slow with the bill had to go to till to pay

Very nice food and nice waiter service who apologised for being so busy. Only bad thing was that it was quite squashed and very noisy but overall very pleased with the visit - lovely food and wine!

The food and the service are excellent. The restaurant was full with many people celebrating the festive season which made the place very noisy.

We often go to eat at this cote in Covent Garden. Usually it is really great. On this visit we were very disappointed with the service which was very slow, and one drink never arrived. In the end we left without having coffee because we didn't think we could face another long wait. It was Christmas time and the restaurant was very busy. I would have expected them to be prepared for this however.

Kids said it was first class! Very efficient service and good all round!

Excellent, friendly service despite all staff being rushed off their feet - it is a miracle that they all manage to exude bonhommie throughout. The food, as always, is delicious and mouthwatering as well as there being an inventive and changing choice. Cote is the perfect place for that pre-theatre fantastic value which leaves you warm inside before going on to other entertainment. This is incredible value!

Fabulous meal, fillet steak melted in the mouth. All 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed all 3 courses. Bit noisy but what do u expect pre theatre in december

Amazing food, good value for money. We had pre evening theatre menu. Good choice. Would eat my three courses all over again !

Food and service very good as usual. However, our champagne was served in white wine glasses which was disappointing. We mentioned it twice and were told that they had run out of champagne glasses. Funny how you don’t run out of champagne though.

My colleague’s starter and main course were not the dishes that he ordered and this is the second time in two visits that the main course has been incorrect.

Efficient polite service. Food arrived quickly. Good portions of tasty food.

Very busy in December with office group celebrations but staff coping well. Made very welcome despite arriving early for our table reservation. Ours was a pre theatre dinner so time constrained and staff looked after us handsomely. Food quality as good as ever. My salmon was cooked to perfection. This is why we know we can rely on Cote. Never hesitate to book.

Food was good, but the restaurant was very noisy. Tables are a bit to close together. Service was okay but my plate was taken before I had finished eating and we felt rushed.

I have been coming to Cote, Covent Garden since 2008 so I am no stranger at this location. Staff always very attentive. I had the Breton Fish Stew and I thought it was too full of onions and could have done with a much bigger size piece of sea bass on top.
