Excellent pre theatre meal, great value, good service, perfect start to the evening.
We always have a lovely meal every time we visit. Can highly recommend.
Fantastic our waitress was wonderful and the food was great. We don't know why we haven't been before ..... can't wait to try the breakfast Menu
Great. Often come to this branch and they are very good. Excellent, fast service. It must be said that the place was much quieter than usual; I hope people aren't going to stay away from central London for long
I had to send my main course back as lukewarm
cramped and lively, we had the set menu which was tasty and good value, plus a nice bottle of vino
Always consistent. Friendly staff. Wide range of food. Well prepared. All meals arrive at the same time, all are hot ( except the salad). Smiling staff hoping you will return as you leave.
Superb breakfast, served by polite and efficient staff member. Thank you for a lovely start to our day.
Nice lunch, good service and a happy customer :). Excellent.
Lovely restaurant as always great service and ambience . Delicious food and great complimentary cocktail
beautiful setting, very professional and friendly, freshly cooked each dish
Good value as always. Service very good. Hard to find anything to criticise. Love that the restaurant is in the middle of London and still provides good value for money
Despite telling the serving staff several times that we had theatre tickets and needed to leave a a certain time, the service was incredibly slow. We had ample time, 1 hour and 15 mins before needing to leave. Our starters came fairly quickly but our mains took so long that we only had 5 minutes to wolf it down before running to the theatre. When we tried to cancel our mains due to timing we were told they were 1 minute away, this was NOT true. Overall this was a frustrating and stressful meal and for a friends birthday it wasn't the experience we'd hoped. From a brasserie that quote 'pre-theatre meals' we thought organisation and timeliness would have been much better.
I have been to core Covent garden a few times and I have always enjoyed lovely food and good service. However yesterday was exceptional. The food was delicious and as I booked in advance I was given a St Germain spritz cocktail which was fabulous. The service was really excellent too with polite staff who were cheerful and helpful. I always go to Cote when I'm in town and I always recommend it to friends and will continue to do so .
Evening marred by lack of hot water and a blocked sink in the cloakroom - tricky to follow PHE guidelines and means I may not return .
very good food and wine and service as usually but very noisy...
For the first time ever we had a disappointing meal at Cote. The char-grilled chicken was too charred and the spinach was lukewarm.
Looked after very well. Description of food misleading on menu.
Lovely meal. Food served surprisingly quickly given how busy they were, but all meals perfect. Lovely atmosphere and staff very pleasant and seemed happy to spend time with each table answering questions.
Day close to the serving area which was very noisy, crashing of plates etc. Good was very rushed, my starter plate was taken away and immediately my main course arrived.
The service and the meal were both very good indeed. It was not the first time we had used the Cote and it certainly won’t be the last. It remains our first choice for meals when we are in the capital.
Côte Brasserie is one of my favourite restaurants to eat. It matters not which of the restaurants you choose the staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful. The menu is always interesting and varied with many options to choose from. The portions are good and the price is very competitive compared with neighbouring restaurants. The Côte Brasserie is always high on my list of places to eat.
I enjoyed my visit overall and the food was good. However, we were sat by the waiters bar and I felt the atmosphere was a little too laid back and vocal especially with one of the waiters singing every time he was there throughout our meal which was a bit irritating and unprofessional. It’s good they were relaxed but maybe could have been more awareness of customers dining nearby. I didn’t know how to ask him to stop! Thanks for an otherwise lovely meal.
We were pleased (and fortunate) to have been allotted Table 76, because the Resturant was (as it should be) full, and therefor noisy. We should like the same table next time.
Lovely meal on a busy Saturday lunchtime. The only reason why I haven’t rated 6 stars is the waiter presumed we were going to pay the optional service charge’. We left a cash tip but if we hadn’t have checked the bill properly we’d have ended up tipping twice. The service wasn’t outstanding; our food and drink were bought to the table and taken away. It wasn’t anything more special than that. Also the tables are very cramped and close together in the restaurant. We had a pushchair next to us which meant it was difficult for us to leave our table.
Not the best meal we've had at a Cote Brasserie - the chicken had been left on the warming rack for too long and was therefore somewhat hard and very dry. The dessert - crepe suzettes was very underwhelming - nearly cold and not much sauce. The staff were friendly and helpful and the service was just right - not too fast and not too slow. We will visit again as we know that it can be better.
Lovely bistro food for all tastes, with a nice inexpensive Cremant de Bourgogne sparkling wine. Separate gluten-free menu. A little slow so no time for a dessert - we were there pre-theatre so had a deadline, and it was busy. Would go again.
Didn’t like being hassled of the table which I had booked well in advance
Usually enjoy this Cote, but this evening fell short. Despite booking we were shown to a cramped table, when the couple before us who hadn't booked had a better one! Could not hear each other speak. One of us enjoyed the food. The other was disappointed....and did not enjoy having her decision to omit a main course questioned. Twice.
Very good service. Accommodating with seating. Good food and reasonable.
I come here regularly as I love the food, service and atmosphere. Only problem can be noise levels.
Very nice and friendly staff. Food was lovely. Recommend before theatre.
Absolutely enjoyable as usual. Service good but not over bearing and good up to usual standard. All in all very super.
Good value, tasty food, served by friendly staff in a pleasant atmosphere.
Superb food! Great service. We will be back in the very near future! Seasonal specials were varied and delicious!
Fantastic lunch, great value. Love the atmosphere. Food excellent for set lunch price.
Wine did not arrive until main course started. Mushroom Soup was not hot. Chicken, bacon& mushroom parmentier "frazzled" around edge. Coffee did not arrive with desert and had to be requested again.
Thoroughly enjoyed lunch (Swordfish February Special) which was delicious. Service was excellent
We enjoyed the buzzy vibe of the dining room, pleasant and professional waiter and a very good three-course pre-theatre menu priced at 15.50.
Excellent food and as alway very good service alway such a lovely atmosphere in Cotes shall return again x
Delicious food as always & good service too. Will book again.
Delayed getting to table but given free drink which helped !!
Excellent fixed price menu at reasonable prices and pleasant and effective service
All on top level and very pleasant with super service plus an enjoyable menu.
Love Cote, always have, always will. Simply put, it's great food at a great price. Try it, you'll love it! Ps. Everything's great, but if I give everything maximum points, I can't emphasise the value, the food or the great staff!!
Lovely dinner and food choices as well as good service and atmosphere. A little crowded and noisy but great pre-theatre meal!
In a very busy location, Cote in Tavistock St/Catherine St might have been a get-'em-in-and-get-'em-out-quick sort of place, given that we were pre-theatre. Yes, it was a restaurant working to capacity, and yes, everyone worked very hard, but very pleasantly, efficiently and we didn't feel rushed at all. High praise to staff, from our initial greeting/reservation conversation and throughout our meal. The pre-theatre menu was presentation of the envelope in which I received my Mamma Mia tickets from the Novello. Merci beaucoup, Cote!
Our server, Adriana, was very pleasant and friendly. One starter we had was mussels and we had to complain about the paucity of mussels in the shells. This was dealt with by a discount on our bill. I also had green beans with my rib eye steak which were badly cooked and presented.
We were very disappointed that the portions were smaller that what we had enjoyed at Cote Brasserie in Cobham, where we had exactly the same dishes earlier in the week. Also, we were not offered any of the delicious sourdough bread at the Tavistock Branch.
An excellent lunch with good service considering how busy the restaurant was. Very good food at reasonable prices. It made for a lovely family reunion.
