Busy here pre theatre but as usual service was impeccable, 3 course menu for £13.95 was exceptionally good , glass wine to accompany completed our lovely lunch today .
The staff were friendly and we received a quick and efficient service. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. A lovely afternoon that didn't feel rushed.
The waiter was excellent - the food was a little slow in coming! we were rushing to the theatre and didn't have time for dessert.
Not quite as efficient as usual for a pre-theatre meal, and the steak (in the steak frites) was chilly and had to be sent back for reheating.
The quality of the food on the special pre-theatre menu was not quite up to the usual standard. I had the haddock which had a slightly strange flavour. Starter was good.
Food was excellent and the service was great. Perfect restaurant to go to before a show great meals for a great price and convenient to all of the theaters.
Very pleased with the food and the service. Add to that the free bottle of wine (as a new member) and it has to be 6 out of 6.
Cote always offers good value in the pre theatre menu and the service is efficient. Some interesting new options for the May menu but the asparagus was unfortunately rather woody.
Very nice - friendly staff and tasty food and wine at a very good price from lunchtime to early evening. Would have been 6 except some of the food could have been warmer.
Lovely food, excellent staff and service, I would certainly recommend you. Menu always exciting and refreshing. Wine reasonably priced and good choices. I will definitely be back.
Sadly although the quality of the food was good it was all served lukewarm so not as enjoyable as it should have been. The resraurant was busy but thats a poor excuse
Food and service was great but didn't like the awkward location of the toilet being next to kitchen and not much room to move for customers or staff trying to deliver food past the toilet area and up the tight staircase. This did not ruin our experience there though.
The waiters and staff were very friendly and efficient, but we had about 8 - 10 children dumped near us while the grownups were on a separate table in another area. I felt one of the adults should have been with the children and maybe the waiting staff or perhaps a manager should have intervened and perhaps tell them. I love children but they were very noisy and I know a lot of customers were annoyed. I appreciate it is the summer holidays and the staff kindly offered to move us, but my sister is elderly and didn't want the upheaval. I am a frequent customer of your restaurants and never experienced this.
I have returned here many times now due to the consistent quality of this restaurant. Great awareness of customers' needs, always an enjoyable unrushed experience, delicious food!
We ate a delicious cooked breakfast, which is excellent value with the special deal that included coffee and fruit juice. Service was friendly and efficient
I have used this restaurant chain many many times over many years, and it has always been always been excellent. I have never been disappointed with the quality of the food and it's extremely good value for money. The staff are always polite and attentive, but when it gets busy they understandably struggle a little. Despite that, Cote is the restaurant but I would definitely recommend
Excellent value and service which can always be relied on and no matter what or which particular restaurant you eat in the value id always very good
I booked a table for 4 at the Tavistock Street Cote Brasserie on Tuesday, for Thursday at 5.45. We arrived just before time, were taken to our table and the service and availability there was excellent. We will repeat the experience soon!
We visited before the theatre and chose from the set lunch menu. We had some garlic bread to start, which was very good. For our first courses we had mackerel and duck pate, then mains of steak frites and sea bass. The sea bass was excellent. We both weakened for the chocolate pots, which were divine. Service was excellent.
Very good value for money and the food was good. There wasn't enough room between tables and my companion had to move her chair on numerous occasions so that the waiters could get past.
Excellent service, food, we were served quickly but were not rushed as we were going to the Theatre. enjoyed our free Kir Royale, a wonderful start to a great evening- Thank you
This restaurant always comes up trumps. Today the steak was better than ever. Our service was good even though the restaurant was very busy. Great
As ever great service staff friendly and helpful. Lovely buzzy atmosphere. The new set menu was really nice, I can thoroughly recommend the asparagus starter. Will go there again.
The experience was excellent yesterday. Very good service. Efficient and friendly. we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and meal at the Tavistock St branch of Cote
Our first visit and it is not my favourite Cote Brasserie - and we have been to a few. The food was good and the service was OK. But I expect better service in Cote. They may be getting a bit too stretched to maintain their service levels. The premises were not as good as most of the others that we have visited. In that area, the St. Martin's Lane branch is preferable.
I use this restaurant because it is central for my friends and I to meet up and offers good value and service. The food is of good quality and the wine of a good standard.
Great food. Lovely staff - they all seemed to be enjoying their work and being at work. The pace was just right and the waitress very attentive.
Well presented and tasty dishes from the 3 course set meal menu. Perfect location for Covent Garden theatres with friendly unobtrusive service and good value.
Lovely lunch sitting outside, near Covent Garden. Perfect. My grandson had the kids menu of chicken breast, green beans and potato gratin. He demolished a large plateful.
On this visit both of us had to send food back as it was only like warm. Veg was cold. I visit Cote often. Just unfortunately this time but food was replaced with no problem.
Good but very busy in the rush hour of lunchtime. Patient Staff did their best to keep the high standard expected by their hungry customers
Fantastic food, excellent service, perfect birthday treat and pre-theatre food. Couldn't ask for anything better and we look forward to returning as soon as we can. Thank you.
Excellent service. Very good food - freshly prepared and very tasty. The set menu is extremely good value and wine by the glass ideal for a pre-theatre meal.
Delay by 20mins in booked table Restaurant extremely busy Offered glass champagne during wait was well received Manager then gave us a very nice table Food & service then very good
Great location, but we were squeezed onto a table behind the entry door so had wafts of smoke every time the door opened, plus the waiters had to lean over to serve the table next to us which was in a corner. The soup starter from the pre-theatre menu was so watery we sent it back. The restaurant, to its credit, immediately offered & served a different option. Lovely steak frites, great buzz to the place, perfect for pre show quick dining
Good experience as always . See you in ST MARTINS LANE ON Thursday ...great food and ambience . Will always use COTE when I am In London .
Extremely good location. Staff were very helpful and very friendly. The pre-theatre lunch option was very good value and the food was very good indeed.
Good cuisine, wine and service in an attractive setting at a reasonable price. Only sorry that I have been unable to use my token for a free bottle of wine
A totally awful experience. Having booked a table for 6 people weeks in advance for 12.45 and then re-confirmed the booking online the night before in response to a request from them, we arrived 10 minutes early to find that we only had a table for 4 as they had sub-let 2 of the seats to a couple who had arrived earlier. As this couple were on their dessert course we were told that they would not be too long and then the tables would be pushed back together into a 6. Wrong!!! The couple were still quaffing down their coffee at 1.30 by which time they had switched us to another "table for 6" which was in fact only a table for 4 with an extra 2 places added onto the ends. To add insult to injury they then proceeded to put another party onto our original table for 4. At 1.45 and after receiving umpteen apologies plus some free drinks (2 bottles of house wine) they eventually said that there was no other option but to serve our lunch at the small table we were on. A lunch that we were actually still to order as we were waiting for our promised table for 6. When the food did arrive in fairness it was actually very good but by then we had lost interest in it. When we left the staff at the entrance "went missing" and there was nobody to see us off the premises, which was also very poor. Needless to say we won't be going back any time soon.
Good value food, good service, great location. Went for lunch with a girlfriend for lunch pre theatre matinee - asparagus for starter, steak and salad for main - 2 courses £12.50 - Covent Garden - what's not to like!
Food good as always. Staff excellent and very quick service. Will definitely go back when visiting London! So convenient for Covent Garden and The Strand!
Always consistently good. Service & food. Busy restaurant with good atmosphere. Great location & easy to find. Management good with excellent turnover of tables and diners.
Noticed portions are getting smaller but better than putting up prices I suppose. Staff friendly and quick service. Good amount to choose from on set menu.
Food was great as ever, but the service was poor on this occasion. Had to ask for the bill more than once, and then discovered that other tables nearby had also been waiting a while for their bill/card machine so they could pay. We were there for a pre-show meal and just about made it by the skin of our teeth!
Very efficient service and tasty food. It was recommended by friends. There was a I ce atmosphere after a show and the staff were welcoming. I would definitely eat there again.
As always consistently great food, service and value for money, Cote has to be the casual dining experience which sets the benchmark against the competition
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was quick, the food delicious and the service excellent! We will definitely go back again and recommend the restaurant to friends.
Although the restaurant was very busy the service and quality of food was excellent. The waiters/ waitresses are a credit to the company and provide a friendly and pleasant ambiance.
Very busy. good food . good service. Nice atmosphere. that should be plenty of words. Can't think of any more words at all. Thank you.
A busy restaurant but to be expected pre-theatre in Covent Garden. The scallop starter was delicious; there was a bit of a wait for the main course but we were able to finish in time for our play.
