Good food, friendly and efficient staff. Very busy with pre theatre crowds and quite noisy but would use again and am returning pre theatre today.
Good location in Covent Garden , set menu offered good choice of dishes, all very tasty and good value for money. Staff attentive and welcoming
Great speedy service, very attentive and the most delicious food! We left with full happy tummies! Would definitely return as great theatre menu perfect for pre and post shows!
Lively buzzing atmosphere, welcoming and helpful staff. Food delicious as always, particularly enjoyed the sea bass with fennel in a creamy tomato sauce. My friend had pork belly which was equally tasty.
The Cote chain is good value for money (especially the pre theatre menu) and i have the Covent Garden branch as a favourite to meet friends for the evening. Good service & a pleasing environment. Varied & tasty food. Will definitely go again.
Good and service was amazing, can’t fault anything with the meal and the experience, food was served very quickly and as we were going to the theatre, this was very welcome
Following an afternoon at the Theatre Royal , Drury Lane and an excellent 42nd Street our visit to London was made even more enjoyable by our post theatre dinner at cote. Food excellent and up to the usual Cote standard and a charming, efficient waitress despite pressures of a busy restaurant.
Friendly staff - very busy. Staff were good with my 6 year old grand-daughter. Food was generally good though my wife was dissapointed in her Ratatouille (perhaps because we make our own at home)
A very busy restaurant especially for a pre theatre crowd (which I wasn't) but the service and food were really good. Quite noisy but it was packed so no surprise but worth it and excellent value and quality.
I found the menu offered a very pleasant choice. The food itself was very tasty and was fairly priced. The staff were particularly friendly too.
As ever with this chain the food was fine - service , however , was appalling . Many more staff needed . Date of visit 15 October 2017 .
Overall the visit was pleasant. The main menu needs updating now as it has not changed in a very long time. Staff was very attentive and allowed us to move to a better table.
I cannot praise Cote highly enough. The food is great, and such wide choice that there is always something one wants to try. The staff are charming, efficient and attentive. And all this at a reasonable price. What more could I ask?
Very good food and helpful, friendly service. But crowded and noisy (good for you but too noisy for us). We will come at a quieter time next time.
Great post theatre meal at very reasonable price. Although very busy, our delightful waiter looked after us well. Never had a bad experience in all the various Cote restaurants I have tried.
Our waiter was very good and engaging and the food was good. Getting a larger group fed before theatre went very smoothly. Cote Brassiere always pleases.
We had a fabulous meal and the service was great - delicious and excellent value - our waiter timed his service perfectly giving us space but very attentive also Cathy and paul
Very good overall as usual. Tables for two a little packed together making it difficult to have a conversation but this apart a very good eating experience with excellent service at a fair price for this area of London.
Lovely attentive staff, but not too in your face. The 'Goldilocks' effect. Great, inexpensive pre theatre menu. Lovely choice of wine. Chic in a bistro sort of way.
We regularly eat at this Cote and it always meets or exceeds our expectations. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the food is reliably excellent!
We both had a great meal here and we found the staff very friendly. Reasonably priced. Also a marvellous location for Covent Garden Opera House.
The food was excellent whilst the service was personal and efficient. The restaurant was very busy and had a good atmosphere. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the 'Happy Birthday' song provided by the staff.
It was our second visit in two weeks as we had theatre tickets. For speed and pure efficiency it's hard to beat cote - if you come at 6 and want to be out by 7 after two courses this is the place to come.
Great service, great meals, great prices, what more can you want. Close to west end shows, perfect. Ideal place for pre show meal and drink.
Pre-theatre supper in theatre-land is never going be a relaxed, quite time on Saturday evening, but the team at Cote did there very best to make everything work well. The kitchen must have been under pressure but the meal certainly didn't reflect it, IT WAS GOOD.
The service was quick, efficient and friendly even though the restaurant was full to capacity with people waiting. Just one point I thought the portion of the coq au vin was a little on the small side.
The service here was fast and efficient. The food was great and it was definitely great value for money too. Excellent Central London location as well.
We had an early matinee on Suday 15th and the friend I had introduces to the Cote restaurant wanted to return so I booked a table for a late lunch. As always will received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our table. Once again Cote have excelled themselves with October set lunch menu it has some of the most delicious starters and main courses excelent value for money.

We ate from the set menu, which for us was just the right amount and we did not feel ‘’stuffed’’. Quality of food was good
The table was ready and waiting. The service was efficient. The good was excellent. Cote never fails to deliver on all fronts, whichever branch you go to.
Excellent food, friendly staff and good service, fast and exactly what you want pre theatre. I liked the atmosphere too. The staff were also good with my teenagers, kind and polite.
Good food at a great price. Service is prompt with a lively atmosphere. Went for pre-theatre supper. This is our third visit and it won't be our last.
We had the pre-theatre menu was we all impressed with both the variety of options available and the dishes we chose. The service was brilliant, I would recommend.
Friendly service upon entering restaurant Table ready and a lovely 2 course set menu at an excellent price What more could you ask for ??
Excellent food and service and good value. The only downside was that it was very busy and therefore very noisy and difficult to have a conversation.
Fantastic service. Very good food and reasonably priced (especially the ore-theatre menu). Would definitely go again in the future. Thank you very much for a wonderful meal.
Initial greeting from Front of House was frosty and a little rude but it was a busy Saturday lunchtime. The food was generally good but portions on the set lunch were very small. I would be surprised if there was half a rasher of bacon in my bacon and egg salad, and the coq au vin was also small. Minute steak was very nice but a small green garnish would have improved the dish.
Lovely pre-theatre meal . Attentive , friendly staff and delicious food in a lively , comfortable restaurant . It was just around the corner form our theatre so was perfect . Would recommend to any adult group going to the theatre
We have been to Cote before but not this branch. They were very helpful and the service was good and food excellent. An ideal location for a pre - theatre or opera meal.
Great offer, lovely place and food. Really surprised with quality of the wine. Overall never failed standards. Would definitely recommend for any occasion and at any time of the year.
We chose the pre-theatre ,the food was fine, until we ordered dessert which never arrived because we ran out of time, we had arrived at the restaurant at 5,55pm finall y at 7.10 pm we told the waiter to forget our dessert order, despite the fact other people in our section had their's and ordered after us. The Bill came and was incorrect and so we had to wait for that to be sorted out. we were offered coffee and dessert after the show , but we had to catch a train. Was the poor service because we hadn't ordered any drinks,I wonder? J.S.
Food was fantastic but service was terrible! Waiters spilled water and didn't bother clearing it up! Didn't bring empty bowl for shells until after nearly finishing the starters!
Placed at a table which should have been for 2 people not 3 as the third person was constantly being knocked by staff and customers as they passed by
I booked a table to introduce a friend to cote restaurant as a regular customer I decided on the Tavistock street branch. As always will received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our table. Once again Cote have excelled themselves with October set menu it has some of the most delicious starters and main courses included. Definitely something for all tastes no matter how fussy your guest are. Prices @ £14.95 for three courses it just can’t be beaten for quality and price in London’s west end. We chose the White House wine which is absolutely superb. It was wonderful to see the friendly waiting staff who were attentive without being intrusive. There is no doubt about it Cote always offers excellent value for money with first class service and excellent food.
Great choice of food on Special Menu. My friend enjoyed her Moules and we both found the Sea Bream with Ratatouille delicious. My favourite Dark Chocolate Pot was great as usual. Have eaten at Cote many times and today was again excellent.
Obviously very crowded when I arrived with the imminent starry of the 42nd Street performance round the corner. We had a nice meal and although somewhat cramped in this branch of Cote, the food and service hit the mark.
We arrived at such a busy time - 6.30 pm before Show time - lucky we had booked! We were seated immediately and attended to quite soon after. We chose from the two- course pre-theatre set meal - mussels and minute steak - which did not disappoint. Overall: a great atmosphere, friendly servers - and very good value for money, especially in London.
Fantastic service and beautiful food at a great price. Would be a 6 but waited quite a while for the bill after expressing the need to leave (in time for a show) but it didn't hinder the overall experience. Would definitely recommend
Good food and drink at fair prices with excellent service all enjoyed in a nice friendly atmosphere. For a chain the product at Tavistock Street is individual but to same overall standard as various other Cote venues we have previously used.
