From beginning to end this was a delightful experience. We had three courses each, five different dishes between us, and each was delicious and beautifully presented.

Good Service and food good as usual. We often eat here and find the food is consistently good, with some menu variations. Not Rushed either so will be back.

We love going to Cotes but our experience was not very good this time. The service was poor. Once our food was served, we had to wait awhile before the waiter checked up on us. When we asked for something it took a long while before it arrived. The manager though was fantastic. Very apologetic and generous, he gave us desert without charge.

Food and service as great as ever but a rotten table by the door with people with bags pushing up against us etc as we ate.

Whilst the food was very good the service was extremely poor. Not only was it very slow but the staff were not attentive and seemed to have lost the ability to smile.

Excellent service, with great food matched with good wine, in the vibrant Covent Garden buzz. and extra thanks for glass of bubbly for my wife's birthday.

Great food and service as we have come to expect from Cote. Our table and many others waiting wasn’t available on time but the maitre d’ was most apologetic and organised for complimentary Kir royals for those waiting. This wasn’t necessary but most appreciated. The cote de boeuf was amazing. Well done all and thank you!

Great food! Great, friendly service! A great way to start the evening. Mousse a la canard was the best. French onion soup was great. Salmon was cooked perfectly.

Restaurant is very noisy and tables are very close together. Service is good. Pre-theatre menu is fine-I had chicken which wasn’t inspired but was adequate.

I booked at the Covent Garden Cote in Tavistock street 4.30pm Table was ready BUT the position of the chair was next to a step down, where Waiters were dashing by with their food trays held above ones head... I considered it was a possible dangerous place to sit, certainly too worrying for a nice meal. On request we were re-seated comfortably in a different section of the place, , there were lots of empty tables at that time. I feel it is a problem to consider safety when you want to seat all your clients wishing a nice place to eat.

Sadly the chicken and pork your slightly disappointing. There was no crackling on the pork and the skin of the chicken wasn’t crispy either. The starters were all well received. Overall a nice meal but having been 3 times before this didn’t deliver to the same standards I have had before. Will I be back? Yes

Excellent food so reasonably priced for London. Service was good but I did not like it when the waitress opened our bottle of wine, poured a taster for my husband then sniffed the bottle! Will someone give training that it is the cork which may be passed under the nose, not nose to top of bottle! By coincidence we dined at the Cote in Bristol the following evening, and meal, again, excellent. Our first introduction to this chain of restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

Food was good as usual but service was a bit haphazard: we had a long wait (crowded into a very small entrance area) for our table and had to remind our enthusiastic but busy waitress of our order a couple of times. Overall a good experience though.

Disappointed that despite being there for a meal pre-theatre, our waiter failed repeatedly to bring our bill on time. We finished our meal at 7 and finally, after asking repeatedly both before and after we'd finished our meal, my partner had to go to the till to pay. That was at nearly 720. That was AFTER our waiter had seen me leave the restaurant to go pick up our tickets at 7. Needless to say just being nice isn't enough to earn a tip. I'd be wary of going there again before a show.

We informed them that we needed to leave by 7pm to catch a show (we arrived at 5.45pm) and so wanted to order/eat quickly. We ordered from the pre-theatre menu, while our starters arrived promptly, our mains didn't arrive until 6.50pm, meaning we had to rush our main courses in 10 minutes. Further, we had to ask them where our mains was rather than them coming to apologise for the delay. Terrible customer service for such a well known restaurant. They did however apologise after, once we had made a fuss about needing to leave. I realise they were busy, but an established restaurant ought to have sufficient staff to manage customers and orders.

We were at a table near the door, so got an icy blast every time someone came in. The first course arrived in good time, but we waited a very long time for the main course. To this end, we did not have time for a dessert, which was disappointing. However, the management did apologise and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine.

Value for money was excellent as was venue. My chicken was overlooked but ok. Service was quite rushed - we were in and out in 30 minutes. Could have done with a less hurried meal particularly as when we got there only 2 other tables were occupied.
