Lovely food. Service good but a little inconsistent as we had to ask for missing food and twice for the bill. Sat next to a fire door which was very draughty and cold.
Have eaten here before going to the theatre. Amazing gluten free food and very tasty! I am more than happy to recommend this restaurant to other coeliacs.
Easy to book, very good service, excellent food and good value for money. Our friend who arrived early felt very comfortable having to wait a while for us.
There is an Excellent pre theatre menu, with pleasant staff, a good choice of reasonably priced and ideally located for theatres on the east side of Covent Garden
excellent food , wide choices of delicious dishes at a very affordable price. very quick service, suited me very well as I had to rush to theatre after the dinner. Highly recommended.
A great meal from the early evening set menu with friends who had never been to a Cote before & were very impressed. Will return !
Very friendly staff. Made an extra fuss of my wife when I told them it was her birthday. Pre-theatre menu very good value for money
Really lovely food - coq au vin just right for a really cold night. Excellent service. In and out in an hour pre theatre. Highly recommended.
My wife appreciated the quality of the dishes. The house wine was good quality.Service was courteous and quick in meeting our requests. Ideal place to enjoy a night out in Covent Garden.
Excellent meal and service. convenient for the theatres and transport connections. The set menu is just what is required on an evening out in London.
We thought the food was very good (but not great) and excellent value. The service was fantastic - welcoming initially and efficient and friendly throughout.
Welcoming and friendly. Glad we booked as extremely busy. Despite this service was good. Inevitably with so many people it was noisy but not overly so.
Pre-theatre dinner at £14 for 3 courses ticked all the boxes. Food, service and value excellent. Very friendly and attentive even though it was very busy. Great atmosphere.
I had high expectations and was on the disappointed side of average today. My food was very dry and overcooked. Felt like it had been sat on a hot plate for too long. The service lack any genuine customer care. I appreciate it’s a busy restaurant but could have done better. Finally it was very busy and felt cramped. Felt like a sardine in a can! Wouldn’t recommend! Surely guys!
Excellent food and service - Steak was particularly good this evening! far better experience than my last Cote meal about a month ago at St Martin’s Lane where we were given the worst table in the restaurant.
Pleasant, helpful and friendly staff and tasty food at moderate prices especially considering the location in Covent Garden. Portions not huge but this suits many diners.
Excellent lunch at this very popular restaurant close to Covent Garden. The staff are very friendly and professional. Always such good quality food and excellent value for money. I would highly recommended.
Seated really quickly but did have to summon the waiter in order to place our order which was a bit surprising as the restaurant was not particularly busy. However, once the order was placed the food arrived quickly and was to the usual delicious standard that you would expect from Cote. After a shaky start everything was nigh on perfect!
Very good service and delicious food as always,it was a special occasion and we bought some fizz so very relaxed evening, the steak frites are always a favourite!!!
Great atmosphere and good food at a reasonable price; two courses £12.95. Could have done with more Camembert on my starter, portion a bit stingy
My wife had a starter and main from the pre-theatre menu, the main course of haddock was very basic and portion of fish was small and overcooked. The A La Carte food was better but more expensive, monkfish for main was nice but only three 1cm slices of monkfish for £18.50 was not very generous. Wine and service were both good. Automatic 12.5% service charge of everything including wine.
Great food, great service and extremely good value. We ordered from the set menu, which was superb - a wonderful choice - three courses for 14.95!
Excellent value for money. Great pre theatre meal with variety. Staff friendly and good service throughout the meal. Would recommend and visit the restaurant again.
Pleasant restaurant in a convenient location for theatres, the staff were very attentive and the pre -theatre menu was very good at a competitive price.
Service was confused - multiple waiters / waitresses, with more than one request for drinks! The food was nice and hot though. Would go back again
The service was poor and the food pretty limited. Ordered Eggs Benedict and had to send it back twice as the hollandaise was cold. Strange but I thought home made Hollandaise would be served warm apparently this is not the case with this Branch of Cote. The pre bought in Hollandaise can only be served cold!! Followed by Mussels - The blandest plate of mussels I have ever had. Overall a great disappointment before our trip to see Carmen at the RNO
Staff we’re Phenomenal! Food was incredible! Would highly recommend. Staff were amazing when my grandma fell ill and highly professional! Can’t thank them enough! Great great place!
Although we were nearly half an hour early on a busy Sunday lunchtime they managed to seat us on arrival. Good choice on the prix fixe menu, waiting staff friendly and mostly efficient. Everyone in the party enjoyed his/her food.
Table was ready when we arrived on time and service was quick. Table was OK for a pre-theatre meal and covered all our needs. Would book again.
We went as a couple for pre-theatre lunch. This is always nerve wracking as you're never sure in a packed restaurant if they can turn it around in one hour. As usual Cote did and some - managed 3 courses instead of two! As usual very friendly and attentive even though they were so so busy and had to deal, very expertly, with a lady who collapsed on the steps. So calm and cool the staff - don't know how they do it. Love Cote.xx
The restaurant was very busy but that was fine and expected. Two downsides for us was (1) we ordered starters and within a minute of that being served our main course arrived and (2) the table was far too small to accomodate the starter dishes, the main courses, the vegetable accompaniments, the water, the entree drinks and the bottle of wine. We ended up putting the bottle of wine and the mixer drinks on the floor. On the plus side the food was very good.
I enjoyed the ambience and the meal, as always. The staff were very friendly and responsive and delivered all orders accurately and in good time. They could have come to actually take orders, check on how things were, a bit faster...but all in all, another lovely evening at Cote .
The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was tasty and looked good. We had a very nice evening. The tables were close together but that made for a friendly experience
As always, Cote was good value for money. Glad we had booked as it was busy. Our waitress got my main course wrong, but I said I would have what she brought anyway, which seemed to please her enormously. We didn't see her again after that. I like the fact that we were able to sit and chat: there was absolutely no pressure to pay up and vacate our table.
Family friendly and very nice. Had a good time and good food for brunch. Menu for brunch slightly limited but all very tasty and staff great.
Very accommodating we were running late and was no problem for them service and food was great as usual , lovely wine and nice clean toilets too
Fast efficient service on a busy Friday lunchtime. Food excellent - choices almost too great in the set menu which we had. Good value for money.
Excellent food and value for money on what was a very busy pre theatre service. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Avoid 6 -7.30pm unless you are off to the theatre!
Very attentive staff even on such a busy night. Very good and swift service as we needed due to theatre tickets we had to pick up. Very good quality food and great selection and price for the pre-theatre dinner.
Quick, service, with a smile! Good quality food that is hot and good value. Keep returning to Cote and I am never disappointed. Well done !
Food is always reliable, staff very efficient. Would have been a nicer more comfortable experience if we hadn't been sat in the corridor. The pre-theatre time gets very busy
Food and service were exceptional from the moment we walked through that door until we left. We received a very friendly welcome, a cocktail on arrival and a lovely table by the window. Our waiter made sure we had our 3 course meal in one hour as we had to go to the theatre. All the dishes were delicious, specially the Duck with Diaphanous potatoes and the Tarte Tatin. Cote never fails to deliver
Went to Tavistock Street branch. Ideal for lunch & pre/post theatre. Good value set menu. Friendly & courteous staff. Good food. Gets busy around theatre times so need to book.
Busy restaurant to the East of Covent Garden. Good value set menu. Efficient service. Good location for theatreland. No wonder it is busy! Blood orange salad made an unusual and tasty starter.
I thought the food was freshly cooked, tasty and the set menu was good value. I also thought the service was exceptionally good. Staff were prompt to attend to us and Bring our orders but also very nicely Left us alone when we just wanted to chat.
Quality of food was consistently good in this Cote as many others I visit regularly. Good space between tables, excellent friendly & professional service; very attentive and prompt service. I would return to this restaurant.
Great food, great service on a busy night like Valentine's Day. Will definitely return to the restaurant in the very near future. Menu was excellent too!
Saturday lunch for 8, Tasty food and good service. Very happy group.
First class food, beautifully presented plus friendly, efficient service. Layout very nice with good room between tables allowing adequate privacy and personal 'space'. Very good value.
The food was lovely, particularly the mackeral rillettes. The service was efficient in spite of the restaurant being packed and all the staff being very busy.
