Great choice on the Cote Brasserie set menu which is a very reasonable price and I love the fact that the menu changes monthly. I have been to at least six Cote locations in London and the food is always tasty and well presented plus the staff are always friendly and efficient so it makes Cote my favourite group of restaurants.
Busy restaurant, but service was friendly and efficient. Excellent value for money. House wine very good. Pre theatre menu very tasty and nicely presented. Will be back
On the plus side we were very happy to hear we could have a free bottle of wine, although it was more than we really needed. And, the staff were courteous and efficient. Unfortunately the vegetables, we ordered as extras were a little disappointing. We do not mind crunchy but ours were really quite hard.
As always at this branch, friendly and efficient service. We thoroughly enjoyed our pre-theatre dinner. The food was delicious and the whole experience set us up for good evening out.
The food and service was impeccable adding to a really enjoyable, memorable day in London. We will favourably pass our recommendations to eat out at the Cote. We have eaten at the Cote in Lewes which is local and enyoyed the same high standard. Thanks
On arrival my party had grown from 8 to 11 people (including members of the Mamma Mia cast) and this was no problem for the front of house staff to provide a larger table. Our waiter was friendly and dealt with this large party efficiently and professionally. A great experience, a restaurant to be highly recommended.
Nice complimentary glass of pink fizz, nice touch, must be because we go there regularly before going to the nearby ROH. Food nice, but tiny portion of languistine "tails", just a few very small balls, and part of the fish pie was cold! But I still love the place!
I love Cote it’s one of my favourite restaurants, it’s consistently good which ever Cote you visit. The staff are friendly and most helpful . Bravo
I went for lunch with a friend and since the moment we walked in we were met with very friendly and polite staff. All the food we wanted was available, it was presented in a nice manner, delivered promptly and very tasty. I will definitely visit again.
A lovely lunch with old friends. Delicious food and friendly staff during a busy time of day. Well done. We were seated where we wanted to be, down stairs and the service was excellent.
Excellent service from very helpful, friendly staff. Very good value meal, served promptly. Good menu choice and good value wine choice. Very pleasant warm ambience. We sat downstairs which was quieter than the normal upstairs buzz and suited us well.
We really enjoyed our meal last night - good food and value for money, friendly waiter and nice atmosphere. We shall be visiting again. soon.
Great restaurant and definitely the best of the five Cotes we have tried! Congrats to Marta and crew! Go for the fish and the wine is good value too!
Very busy restaurant and tables very close together. Food good, it would have been nice to be offered bread with my mussels. The bill came to nearly £37, we left £40, no change was bought back despite service charge already being added, we probably would have left the change but I think it was wrong to assume it was a tip. Lengthy wait for pudding but on the plus side we were bought a glass of pink fizz on arrival
Everything went well. Booking process easy . Were able to accommodate us even though we arrived a bit early. Service excellent, food excellent, even had happy birthday sung to me !
excellent as always! thanks Cote.. food and great customer experience well done perfect place for pre tgratee dining and great value for money highly recommended
There is a good choice of food at Cote and the pre-theatre menu is great value. The staff were friendly and the service was fast.
Always reliable with friendly service. A great choice on the 'early' menu at a very reasonable price and tell them if you're going to the theatre and they will make sure you are served in time.
Food good but service was slow, had to keep reminding staff that we were missing things from our breakfast. Definitely not as good as the St Martins Lane restaurant.
We visited on a Saturday lunchtime. Nice lively place, really bustling. service a little bit hit and miss but food is good. We would visit again.
All 6 of us enjoyed a very nice meal in very pleasant surroundings. The staff were friendly and efficient and made sure our evening was successful. All the food was first class with no complaints. Would certainly recommend this place !
Fabulous pre dinner meal served with a smile , swiftly and great value. Will certainly visit Cote again in the near future. In fact I've booked again for tomorrow!
A great experience in a very busy restaurant! The good was very nice and the service was excellent.we will definitely book there again! This the end!!!
We found it a Fast, friendly service, excellent set menu with lots of choice. It’s well located so it makes it an ideal pre-theatre choice .
The first waitress was struggling to do her job, but the service improved although it was quite slow. There was no sea bass on left on the Set Menu, but the Waitress didn't really understand when we asked if they could swap it for an equivalent fish. Still overall the service was good.
This was a first time for us and it was very good, the staff were helpful and friendly will come back again. Very good value.
Good friendly service and amazing food highly competitive. We were welcomed by several members of staff, our table was waiting and the drinks were served promptly. The only issue was that it took some time for the food to arrive but this criticism on this occasion is very untypical of Cote.
Excellent service. The staff, without exception, are welcoming, efficient, pleasant and so many smile! The food is good, well prepared and the prices are excellent. Real cloth napkins!
Very busy Sunday lunchtime, all considered the staff were attentive and the food came relatively quickly. I had steak, that I asked to be done Medium, but came more rare, but it was still nice. Chips a bit cold too. But, it could have been worse and noting that the restaurant was full, I thought they did well. I would go back without hestitation.
Just like eating out in Paris (I have a flat there) only with better service, better food and at less than half the price! Cote is now a huge chain - but you'd never guess it.
This Cote had the same excellent food I have come to expect from this chain and the service was also very efficient and very friendly
Always a good meal at Côte, staff are very pleasant, varied menu and quality is consistently good. Great place to visit before a theatre trip.
Everything was great, but nothing exceptional. The restaurant was a bit small and hard to get around, but the food var very good. Very welcoming staff.
Absolutely fantastic pre-theatre lunch with my Mum for Mother’s Day. Food was delicious, service was incredible and they also gave us 2 kir royales on the house to celebrate. Thank you so much. We had a wonderful time! And will definitely be back again soon!
Great service and great value. Had a lovely pre-theatre dinner. Our second visit and won't be our last. Was really busy so would advise you to book in advance.
Excellent value for money, particularly if ordering the set menu before the theatres open. Plenty of staff and thus, the service was very good and continually asking if everything was ok.
Good service, good food, good wine - what else is there to say? Have been coming here with friends for years as I know I can rely on the quality and good value
Excellent food, good service & delicious wine. Was perfect for our girls night out dinner. Will definitely visit again as Côte is one of my favourite restaurants.
Usually good experience but tonight placed by dumb waiter and extremely noisy. Also some food cold when served. Good service. Handy location for Royal Opera House
Excellent value pre-theatre meal. Great fan of Cote. This one busy Cote but service very good. Tavistock Street couldn't be more convenient for Covent Garden and Theatre Royal and all the theatres in the Strand and Aldwych.
Service, menu choice, quality of the cuisine and the ambience would lead me to recommend this Cote. The only very small criticism was of the Langoustine Goujons Starter on the Special Two Course menu. These were served on a large dinner plate and comprised of a little pile of undressed rocket, a bowl of tartar sauce and five TINY fish balls rolling all around the plate. I felt sorry for the waitress as she tried to serve all four plates with these fish balls threatening to roll off. Serve it in a small container which at least would give it some semblence of value. This really was neither well presented or good value. Everything else was excellent.
Friendly and helpful staff, consistently good food, and the pre-theatre menu is excellent value for money. Lively atmosphere, but still good for conversation. Highly recommended.
Always rammed with diners, especially pre-theatre and post- theatre, but if you like a bit of organised chaos, this is a great place to grab a bite in Theatreland.
Very good value for money - particularly the pre theatre menu. Unfortunately my soup was luke warm but staff replaced it quickly with a piping hot bowl. An order for a bottle of beer took 10 mins. Service otherwise excellent.
It’s never boring at Cotes Brasserie. The food was of the usual high standard and the staff are something else. Despite a packed house they were, as they always are, helpful, attentive and friendly. A lovely smile works wonders. Thank you everyone at Tavistock Street.
Very busy but excellent service designed for theatre goers. Food was really enjoyable. Must book though for best results. Côte in Sloane Square (for Cadogan Hall) also geared up for good service. 12.5% optional service charge added. I know staff pool tips but is this a way of taxing gratuities? Would prefer to give cash to distribute amongst waiting staff.
An extremely enjoyable and tasty meal. I asked for a quiet table and was offered one where we could chat undisturbed. Waiting staff were helpful and efficient.
Table booked but not ready when arrived, when seated, tables so close together it was hard to get in the seats. Food okay and service okay
Great food, service and value - and perfect for pre-theatre dining. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Very good food and excellent service in a busy restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful, much appreciated when we had limited time for pre theatre meal. Would recommend to diners looking for good value dining in theatre land. Thank you!
