Côte - Covent Garden

Variable service, good to start but forgotten about after the main course. Very good value set meal, drinks reasonable. Efficient air conditioning on a hot Sunday lunch.

We arrived late and needed a rushed order to eat before a show. No problem! The manager personally saw to the very prompt arrival of our food - fresh and well prepared as usual.

Côte is one of our favourite chains. The food is good and excellent value for money (especially the set menus plus the frequent offers such as free bottles of wine or free glass of kir royale), with the Tavistock Street restaurant especially recommended - it's ideally located for a pre-theatre dinner, and its corner location provides plenty of outdoor/windowside seating. The staff are friendly and welcoming too.

Great atmosphere, staff were brilliant and the food as good as ever. We always use Cote restaurants in different parts of the country as we know we can always rely on them.

Good service and good food - excellent value for money. A very pleasant venue in the heart of London. Our visit was only slightly spoilt by the noise of some building works opposite - not the restaurants fault of course.

The food was exquisite but the waiter was a bit rude at one point. The latter was exceptionally disappointing as the service was outstanding at my last visit. We had to wait for three items and an explanation was only offered when we queried their absence.

The service was excellent and the food arrived quickly and was also very good. The atmosphere in the restaurant was welcoming so we enjoyed our meal and would visit again.

Food was great, service a bit slow and they tried to overcharge so check bills carefully but apart from that it was a really lovely lunch

Food was excellent. Waitress was most attentive and helpful. She replaced my wine which was not chilled and brought me a new glass of perfectly chilled wine. Excellent.

Great staff. Nice setting. Enjoyed the food very much. A nice, modestly price wine by the glass. Outdoor setting was perfect for a sunny summer evening. Price for the set menu was attractive.

The full menu is varied and there are a variety of set meals at very reasonable prices. The food was well prepared and tasty. It is not exceptional, but is a good value and exactly what it proposes to be, a reasonable transplant of French bistro style. The product is a very good value and reliable in quality. We rely on it wherever we are in the UK.

Food tasty and good value. Service a little mixed but acceptable. Aperitif and wine had expected characteristics. Not rushed though quite busy, a very enjoyable evening.

We have been to this Cote several times pre Theatre. The Food is always good and very reasonably priced considering the quality of the dishes. The Service is very good......not too quick, not too slow!

Cote remains one of my favourite "chain" restaurants. First time at this Covent Garden one with visitors from Australia; good location and the food up to its usual high standard and taste. Efficient, friendly service. The Aussies enjoyed it.

Excellent meal; good price. But the waiter argued about our fougasse order and brought it with bad grace only after we insisted. Strange and puzzling.

I use different Côtes in London a lot. Generally, they are a consistent quality at a reasonable price (although if you are a woman eating alone, you do tend to be ignored).

Always a pleasure to go to Cote - any branch! Service attentive without being "over the top", food of a very good standard and well cooked. Most enjoyable!

Cote always reliable for friendly service , tasty food and good ambience . Pre theatre menus and well priced . Whenever we visit London we make sure to have a meal at Core!

Hake Provensal was a good choice and my partner enjoyed her sole. Always good value for money . And Tavistock St is one of there best venues. A. Rice

Always wonderful. We go there often and find the food and service just right. The staff is attentive and friendly and could not be nicer.

As always the food and service were up to standards that you would be expected to be paying a lot more for. The wine is very fairly priced. I took friends that had never been before and they were most impressed.

I had asked in advance if staff would acknowledge the fact it was Chloe's 16th birthday, (not a big fuss, just mention it, she is autistic and it would have made her day) and we were were promised that. There was no acknowledgement what so ever, and it felt like we were on a fast conveyor belt. We had no complaints with the pleasant waiter. DreamGirls made up for the let down in buckets.

The meal was excellent, we ate from the 2 set menus (great idea having 2 at different (very affordable) prices), which both had a wide range of seasonal selections. The staff were attentive but occasionally requests for more water were slow which is the only reason I've given a 4 rating rather than a 5.

Lovely restaurant Perfect location for theatre land. Delicious dinner and very good service. Beautifully cool on a hot summer evening. Thanks everyone. We will come again!

I booked prior to a theatre visit. All went well but ordered a steak which is a mistake. It was chewy. Only the Italians can cook steak properly!! Everything else was fine.

The was great food and service brilliant. Perfect for a pre-show dinner. Booking online was so simple and table was ready for us when we arrived.

Great service and delicious food plus house wine always good at Cote. We were about 25 mins early for our table as theatre show finished earlier than we expected but we were able to be seated immediately which was good.

A really excellent lunch off the prestige menu - well balanced , well presented and tasty. The service was excellent too - cheerful friendly staff despite the heat. And a busy restaurant couldn't fault the whole experience

A bit squashed but very friendly and good service. Really buzzy atmosphere. Staff aware of guests need to get to the theatre on time so no need to feel anxious

Usual high standard and good value, very busy and a bit squashed in. It is good for summer dining windows open or outside on the sidewalk under the awning

There was an unfortunate mis communication with our order of steaks when delivering it to the table, which resulted in two diners receiving the wrong meals. After speaking with the manager, and having been offered a replacement meal (which we did not have time to eat) the bill was deducted by the cost of the incorrect steak.

Reliably good food as always from Cote but they obviously missed our main courses judging by the amount of time we had to wait, and the fact that the surrounding tables who arrived after us were served first. Otherwise it was busy, buzzy and the staff were helpful and polite. Good value for money.

As always service and food superb, especially great for quality and value for money. This location is perfect for the Royal Opera House for pre- theatre dining.

My food was fine, but my friend got different dishes from what she had ordered. The waitress insisted that my friend had ordered asparagus & chicken from an ordinal set-menu, but in face she had ordered asparagus & chicken from the pre-theatre menu (They are cooked in a different way). We didn't have time to argue, so my friend compromised in the end. She didn't have to do that though.

The staff were very pleasant and the food was really good for everyone. The service was quick and efficient too. Excellent for a pre theatre dinner.

The welcome, and the service overall, was excellent, warm yet efficient. As always there is a good choice on the menu and the food itself is tasty and extremely well priced. The kir royales are a joy too!

Small but bustling restaurant in Covent Garden. Im a frequent visitor to Cote restaurants and this branch was the usual high standard. We were pre-theatre dining and were served fairly quickly, although we did have to ask for our bill twice! Good food, good value👍🏼

Very good as usual. Good food with some new menu items and speedy service - almost too speedy! Dropped a star as we had a rather cramped table.

Very good service and excellent food but the noise level was unbearable I think this venue and St Martins Lane are on same level - I feel more comfortable with Kingston and Richmond

Thank you for a delicious meal! We wanted to eat somewhere before going to the theatre and Cote is in an excellent location. They also have a brilliant choice of varied dishes on the menu. We had lovely food and attentive service - many thanks.

Excellent food and ambience, although we thought that the tables were slightly too close together. Very busy for Saturday lunch but the service was very good., one of our favourite places for a reasonably priced meal with plenty of choices on the menu.

Great service as usual from all the friendly and efficient staff. We are always spoilt for choice at Cote and the new June menu additions look interesting-the Hake was good. Cote Crème Brulee is delicious!
