Côte - Covent Garden

Waitress was very pleasant and friendly. Service was very good as was the food. I had fillet steak which was cooked to perfection. My husband had the fish stew which was lovely. Would definitely go again.

We usually visit Cote for dinner pre theatre and did so yesterday. It’s a busy restaurant, with lots of tables packed close together, but the food and service has always been good. No so yesterday, we felt very rushed, our main course arrived at the table whilst we were still enjoying our starter and pre dinner drinks. The waitress took it away but it arrived again as soon as we had eaten our last mouthful of first course and had obviously been kept hot - my partner had fish, which should be cooked and served, not returned to the heat. Cote has always been our restaurant of choice and to be honest, the first disappointment, I wouldn’t discourage anyone from eating there.

Very noisy, a birthday party mostly responsible but we could hardly hear each other speak, otherwise excellent food and service, and food size portions! good value

Food was first class. Very attentive staff. Food delivered quickly even though they were very busy. Meant to give 6 but doing on phone so hit wrong button. Will be eating at cote again.

Service was good though drinks were always slow to come despite there being a number of staff present. Food was upto normal high standard. Overall enjoyable.

We were a relatively large party of eight. Cote coped well as they always do. Excellent menu choices and very good value. Will be back again soon.

Staff members were friendly and attentive. Glad to see tables are not too close together. The food was tasty and well presented and not overpriced. A relaxed feel despite being packed to the rafters early evening. we did not feel rushed by staff and there are lots of menu choices from which to try new dishes. We'll go back soon!

Excellent food served by a delightful young waitress. Plenty of choice from both set menus. Cote always manages to live up to expectations - never disappoints.

The food was fine as always and most of the service was perfect. I reported the toilets dirty and said I had to clean it. The 'manager' just said 'You didn't have to do that' and walked off! The other manager must have seen how annoyed I was as he nicely gave a discount on the bill at the end (not asked for).

Good food, slightly chaotic service this time but still recommend for a tasty reliable meal. Tuna and steak both lovely and chocolate fondant very rich! Love their coffee

Despite the heat and full restaurant as always the food and service were consistently good. Cote deserves its excellent reputation, don’t know how they always do it. Prices are great too

Our train was badly delayed but reassurances by Cote staff that they would hold our table and then a welcome to their very busy restaurant reflected the whole style of this great Brasserie. Both set menus gave a good variety of choice and the food and wine were lovely and the service outstanding. A great start to our evening and another example of the quality of this excellent chain.

Duck confit on the June specials was fantastic, would highly recommend! Great service and a lovely evening.

Great food, great atmosphere, and excellent service. The restaurant was full, as usual in the pre-theatre time. We (2 adults + 2 teenagers) didn’t feel rushed, nevertheless all our dishes arrived in timely manner. It was a pleasure to have Peter as our server. It is always amazing that Cote, a chain restaurant, can be so pleasant and efficient. Thank you!

Had a superb meal at Cote, as usual. Was quite busy and noisy at first, due to the pre-theatre crowd, but it soon quietened down. Had a tasty and speedily served three course meal and drinks all for a reasonable price.

Table a bit cramped but food as good as ever and what we have come to expect from Côte. And this is why we keep going back !

The restaurant was nice and quiet so I was able to choose where I wanted to sit within reason. I used the W/C and struggled. I’m not over weight but found the cubicals so tight that I almost decided not to go. I think the wall should be knocked down so that 2 cubicals can be made into 1 decent size. I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant to anyone who may need to use the toilet. The food was ok. I ordered cod coujons. I found the fish to be dry and slightly over cooked. I ordered the chocolate fondant which was great as always. I had 2 cold soft drinks which I didn’t wait long for but I think the toilet issue needs looking into. I’d prefer to go to another Cote

Special cocktail Pampella Spritz was delicious and perfect for this hot weather. Food excellent and good service. Cool surroundings and low noise level. Very enjoyable meal.

Excellent pre- theatre menu that is good value for money. Great ambience and delicious food. This is a very reliable chain of restaurants we've used all overt the country.

We were given a table by the open window, as I requested, and we had a delicious meal. Our waitress was charming and extremely efficient.

We spent a pleasant afternoon with our friends from New York. They loved the food and the friendliness of staff. Always a pleasure going there.

Very good lunch yesterday. Despite the very hot weather, the restaurant was pleasantly cool with the air conditioning. The Prestige set menu was good quality and good value for money. The house wine was reasonably priced and perfectly acceptable. As always the service was excellent.

The best thing about the restaurant in the hot weather is the way the huge windows fold away so it feels as if you are outside. Attractive menu for pre-opera meals, good service and considering Covent Garden venue, pretty good value.

Service was slow... adjacent table must have waited 20mind for their orders to be taken. That’s after already being prompted to take orders for drinks. One a hot day, one expects the staff to be on the ball

Dreadful table for 2 crammed in at the top of the stairs to the toilets. My chair was actually kicked by waiters on several occasions and once we had to ask a waiter not to hold a laden tray over our heads. We asked to move but not possible. Food very good.

Pre theatre matinee lunch. Choice of two set price menus as well as a la carte made it difficult to choose! Food good and well presented. Value for money. Good service from staff.

On this occasion,a bit disappointing. There was no Tuna Nicoise available as they had run out by 8.0pm! Service was not as attentive as usual.

A friendly, lively atmosphere made eating at the Covent Garden branch quite pleasant. I wouldn’t say the food was anything special, but the set menu was quite good value, and the service good. A mistake in the bill was immediately corrected.

We went pre-theatre. Despite it being v busy and one of our party suddenly changing their mind about what to eat, we received excellent service from a v patient waiter. Nice food at a reasonable price.

The waitress got my order wrong twice, we waited ages for our starter and wine, and when it was finally bought out it came with the rest of the meal. My husbands chicken was very dry as had to be reheated twice while they got my order right.

Very tasty and well presented fixed price meal, up to Cote's usual standard. The mackerel & broad bean & pea salad topped with a poached was particularly fine.
