Very slick service and delicious food. The staff were attentive, but not overbearing. We were delayed by heavy traffic, but we didn’t feel rushed and had a relaxed meal while still arriving at the theatre in good time.

I love this place. It's right opposite Theatre Royal Drury Lane and so easy to get to from Covent Garden underground. I don't know many places where you can eat 3 lovely courses for £15!!

We booked Cote Covent Garden mainly for its convenient location to the Duchess theatre. We just wanted a light steak and chips with a green salad before going to see a show there. We had booked before hand which was just as well as the place was heaving! We chose the two course pre- theatre offer at £12.95 per person, a green side salad was an extra at £2.95 -this was poor value as there was not much of it - just a few lettuce leaves in a french dressing. The dessert was too dull to even mention. The cafetiere of coffee was good value at £3.25 with enough coffee for two. The service was quick and we did not wait long before our order arrived. The waiting staff were rushing around like headless chickens and there were frequent noises of crashing china and metal throughout our meal as things were dropped by staff in the rush to serve customers - so it is no place for a romantic night out or an intimate place to have a meal and chat. You got what you paid for and no more. It was fine for a bite to to eat before a show but that was it at this particular branch of Cote at this particular time of evening.

Good basic meal on the pre-theatre menu but service - although perfectly pleasant - could have been a little swifter. Had to prompt for the bill as need to get to a performance.

The food took forever i.e almost 45 mins to get to us and the waiting staff did not even acknowledge it. When followed up, he replied that is normal.

The new Prestige Menu justifies the price and remains good value. Excellent House Red wine and attentive but not intrusive service. The restaurant was busy with quite noisy groups but the experience was pleasant enough for us to stay for nearby three hours.

We visit Cote often before the theatre but last night we thought it was poor value . We chose the £16.95 menu and neither the pork or chicken the dishes came with vegetables other than potato or fries. Peach crumble was quite tasteless so we were disappointed . After ordering we were served within 5 minutes so a bit too quick Food must have been ready !

Great food and good service even when extremely busy, a well run organisation that helps set Cote Brasserie above other restaurant chains. Highly recommend for pre theatre meals.

After eating, were told only possible to pay cash. Then the machine did work. And 12.5% service. We ordered, you brought our food. Nothing more. That’s a hefty charge for the least I expect to differentiate between eating at home and eating out! Worst Cote experience ever, when all previous have been fantastic

The food and the service were excellent but the high decibel noise level was very difficult; having to yell at each other does not a comforting experience make. At about 7.10 a table of very screaming young women and bellowing young men left and that was an improvement but still fairly noisy. It's interesting to see that when we left at 8.30 the place was sparsely populated. It would be ideal to come later but then wouldn't be able to take advantage of the very good value set menus.

This is Cote in Tavistock st. Not St. Martin's lane. Both are know as Cote Covent Garden so make sure you know which one you are going to. Great place good atmosphere ( no raucous music) busy, so good to book. Food excellent: Filet steak, mussels, risotto. Staff very accommodating and seem cheerful.
