I have been coming to Cote, Covent Garden since 2008 so I am no stranger at this location. Staff always very attentive. I had the Breton Fish Stew and I thought it was too full of onions and could have done with a much bigger size piece of sea bass on top.
Great restaurant with great service and food, as always! We use it whenever we are in the area and have never been disappointed, whether it is for lunch or dinner. Highly recommended!
I love this restaurant. The staff are always professional and helpful and the food is good. I’ve just taken two friends who haven’t been before and they are both new converts.
Food and wine up to the standard we know and service was quick and friendly. I was glad they held the table when I was late due to traffic. Noisy but that is usual now. I shall continue to use the Cote chain.
Not the best branch in the cote chain but handy fir many theatres.
Great service and food. Good vegetarian menu too. Booking was easy on line and helped.
Pleasant restaurant with excellent staff and good choice of menus and food. Can be very busy at certain times in view of London location and proximity to theatres. Probably essential to make a reservation
Excellent service / great food. Daughter got a free dessert for her birthday
great place to eat, very helpful staff; located in heart of theatre district
Very Pleasant staff lovely food nice atmosphere Had a great time
Beef burigjon was not the quality we would expect from Cote
Food was lovely but the waiter was unhelpful and was kept disappearing to other tables. When I ordered the gluten free Christmas menu he kept saying "no one is gluten free" when I insisted I was gluten free he then walked off and eventually a more senior waiter appeared to take our order. He was possibly having a bad day but he did have a bad attitude right from our arrival and was a very bad advert for the restaurant.
We ordered the Charcuterie Board and it arrived with no Duck Rilletes. No-one apologised and we had to ask for alternatives.
Wide choice of pre-theatre menus and all the food was delicious.
Cote at Tavistock Street is located absolutely superb for pre- or post-theatre-dinners. The restaurant has a warm and cosy atmosphere and the food is excellent.
Lovely meal and great atmosphere, eaten at other Cotes restaurants and will definitely return
Good food using good ingredients. We are never disappointed at Cote restaurants
Really busy but staff were brilliant. Seated us as quickly as they could
Friendly efficient service and good pre-theatre food. Would definitely recommend!
This was my second visit to this branch of Cote and once again I enjoyed it very much, the staff are friendly but professional and the food is very good and excellent value for money. There is a pleasant atmosphere too.
Great ambience and service, shame about the food. Extremely tasteless chicken. No alternatives for those of us who are lactose intolerant, for example no sauces or desserts.
okay, but not as good as before, pity we do like Cote
Pate starter ok but the pork belly main had no crackling so I sent it back and waited and waited while my companion ate her main course. And when the pork came back it still wasn't even crispy. The waiter could see I wasn't very pleased and was pleasant and apologetic but I thought he might have at least offered a complementary dessert or discounted something on the bill - but he didn't. If it had been up to me I would have deleted the service charge tip that had been automatically added to the bill - but my companion was paying and didn't want to cause a fuss so it got left on.
very handy for Royal Opera House; poor communication between staff re order was a pity, buy food was good
As always Cote delivered on all levels. Consistently reliable. Never disappointed
Despite having booked we had to wait for a table to be freed for us. The table we were given was right beside the door and very cramped. The food and service were good.
Great after theatre meal, wonderful service, excellent value for money, highly recommended.
Food great. Staff moody and no special efforts made for my mums 60th birthday even tho I added it into the notes not even a message or sparkler in dessert. Waiter seemed annoyed whenever we asked for anything. They did let us in half hour early however although we were happy to wait if not.
Good value, decent food. Handy location, busy atmosphere. A bit noisy and cramped.
We love Cote, service always friendly and the food reliable, and very good value
We like it so much we're still here! Thanks for a lovely lunch
Good timing , good service , and tasty nice food
Cote Tavistock Street was a really good experience for breakfast. The service was very friendly and efficient, and the food was excellent. I highly recommend it.
excellent new menu for the pre theatre selection. all very mouth watering delicious
Very efficient , tasty food at a good price . What more can you want ?
I have been coming to Cote for years and live just along the road. Today as ever the service was friendly and fast, efficient. My disappointment was the food! I had the Cassoulet but found it bland, tasteless and frankly sludge-like. Very surprising as I have always found the dishes first class. It was - in my opinion of course - either missing a tasty ingredient or two or had been sitting on the hob for way too long. Either way I would not order it again in a hurry.
Very good food. It was however very very crowded and the tables so close together that you could hardly move.
Brilliant service, are made to feel very welcome - shown better table when one became available, our complimentary cocktail was delicious and the food was wonderful as always
Very nice meal, good service good price and good atmosphere. Nice
A very pleasant dining experience - good value for money. A little noisy, but that's London!
Delicious food at very reasonable prices. Friendly and fast service by Julio. They were also great with allergies - very thorough and you felt confident it was taken seriously.
Really good food and the service was spot on. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Use cote frequently always Good meal good service friendly staff. Will be back
Excellent food and service. We very much enjoyed our visit.
We had to wait over 15 mins in the draughty doorway for our pre-booked table. Customers and serving staff were constantly pushing past. There was no offer of a drink (free or otherwise) or anything. Once finally seated we had to ask for 3 course special offer menu which we hadn’t been given as it was neatly 7pm by the time we were seated and the menu ended at 7. As our table had been booked for 6.30 and it was their fault we were late seated, this seemed ridiculous! Having ordered, it took ages for food to arrive, our table was left half cleared between courses for about 15 mins. The food was (as always) very good, but it was such a shame that service let them down - far too busy. Maybe they could sacrifice a couple of tables to make a waiting area? Would allow customers to relax out of the way whilst waiting as well as easing the rush on servers and the kitchen. I’ve eaten at lots of Côtes (incl this one) and this is the first time it has left me disappointed - a victim of its own success?
Fully met expectations. Efficient. Friendly. A bit cramped and noisy but was a Saturday night peak time.
Disappointed we ended up in a tiny room down some back stairs - I didn't even know you had a room downstairs and, I suspect, if it wasn't a busy time of year, it wouldn't be used. Walk-ins seemed to get the tables upstairs, we had reserved and were rewarded with this experience. Wine was placed in a bucket away from the table, upstairs, it's been at the table - the waiter failed to notice when our glasses were empty. The experience wasn't bad, just disappointing and not up to the standard of previous visits.
Quick, helpful (thanks for the eggs Benedict!) and tasty. Perfect for a pre-theatre lunch.
Lovely as always. Food could be a little hotter but very tasty.
Good food and nice prices especially for children. My only gripe is when I asked the waiter what draft beer you serve he just curtly said "Everything is on the back of the menu" This is pretty rude especially as in fact there is no draft beer. He should have at least said that.
