Côte - Covent Garden

Matur dam was unwelcoming and our table was in a corner bu the clearing are, trays plates etc were dropped and the noise was deafening. Our table was not ready having booked well in advance. The restaurant was busy s d our table had bee given to others. Very bad service

The restaurant was very busy but this did not detract from the usual excellent service. The food and wine was as lovely as it always is.

Today, we celebrated lunch for my son with 20 family members. We ordered in advance. We were all very impressed and very pleased with the restaurant and all members of staff who were at all times patient, smiling and helpful. Everyone enjoyed the food. Thank you very much to Cote and their excellent staff.

It was v busy and took rather a long time to order. One child did not get his frites until we had to ask three times.

We were a group of 13 and you dealt with us very well. The service was excellent, as was the food.

Took half an hour to get served at the start and 40 minutes before we received our drinks, but the food arrived quickly and the rest of the service was fine. Good quality food as usual and decent portion sizes.

Lots of atmosphere, good service and food satisfactory for very reasonable price. Was seated near doorway which has been so designed as to allow the very cold breeze in whenever the door was opened unfortunately. Went for pre theatre meal deal, two courses.

Quite honestly, the food was not good , the staff were not good and , worst of all, the toilets were truly discussing . 2 set menu starters were not available

Convenient early evening pre theatre dinner. Always a great choice on the menus and served with speed allowing a very relaxed and happy experience. Cote always gets it right for me and always recommend for an early evening meal. Am yet to try you for breakfast.

A very pleasant meal, enjoyed both by us and our son and two grand-daughters. Both food and wine were good value and highly suitable for a pre-theatre afternoon.

Although our staters and deserts were ok, my main course of the haddock was extremely disappointing. Not only was it tasteless, it was put on the plate with accompanying ingredients with very little care about presentations. I did inform the waiter of my disappointment at the time. He did offer something else, but by this time I had lost my appetite. We feel your Christmas menu was very poor value, considering the price. We visit your restaurant regularly when going to the opera and have always enjoyed your pre theatre menus. But can’t say the same for our experience yesterday Regards Jack KELLY

Good selection on the menu, quick service, busy restaurant, good location.

Only negative was the blue cheese on the cheese board was far too salty and we waited too long for the bill.

We enjoyed a nice relaxing meal, and usually do when we visit Cote in Tavistock St. I had the smoked salmon which was generous in size, but could have done without so much creme fraiche. My wife ordered the half poulet but received another chicken dish off a different menu which we hadn’t been shown. The correct dish was brought promptly. I enquired if the chef was an over or under when it came to cooking steaks. I said I would like a little pink in the middle but not rare. Unfortunately the steak was red in the centre and only lukewarm. However it tasted ok and I wasn’t sufficiently annoyed to return both our mains. We often eat at this restaurant when staying nearby as it’s always a safe bet, and the atmosphere and service is very good.

We visited after going to the ballet at Covent Garden. A really good atmosphere and the food was excellent, the service and very good and it was a very good end to a great day, thank you Cote

Really nice food and great service from all staff during a really busy evening. The only downside was our table which was near the stairs and constantly had staff and customers passing by otherwise it would have been 6 stars

Tasty food but very slow service, and one started was forgotten. We had the set lunch menu so surprising the service was a bit disorganised. It was Christmas and they were busy though. Also our bill was wrong which delayed us, as they added a starter even though wr had had the set menu.

Very nice accommodating service. One plate was served with the gravy and juice slopped over the sides of the plate which was disappointing for the presentation side. Otherwise. Lovely.

Some food was forgotten, one main dish arrived cold and was then microwaved which I find totally offensive. A dirty knife was dropped on our lap. However, the missing starter was not charged for and the waiter was apologetic and polite.

The restaurant was almost completely full, but our table was waiting for us. We both had the set meal which was excellent.

My only complaint is the tables were so close together I couldn't get in or out without asking people from other tables to move. Everything else was great.

This Covent Garden is a delight and mostly go there when in London. The food and ambience are superb and it never disappoints. A firm favourite

Always on our list of favourite places to dine. Warm and inviting with plenty of choice on the menu and delicious food served by courteous staff.

Friday 4.30pm 20th Dec 2019: Very professional and attentive staff. Busy, but under control. Food was definitely up to Cote standard. But, neither of the hot taps of the 2 basins in the Gent's loo were working... Nice exterior Christmas decorations, but - none inside!

Super meal at Cote Tavistock Street prior to theatre. Had the set Prestige menu. Salmon and ratatouille delicious. Restaurant was very busy but excellent friendly service. I think the bill for 2 course and a glass of wine each was around £24. Can’t complain at that!

Cote Tavistock Street is bright and airy. The food (breakfast) is always delicious, and the service friendly and willing.

We had reserved a table and we were taken to our table at the time we had booked. We were happy with all aspects of the meal. Staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Food was delivered quickly but not too quickly. Restaurant was extremely busy but that did not deter from good service. There were no mistakes.
