Great food and service, reasonably priced. Only area for improvement would have been for the opportunity to have been able to hang up my coat.
Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. It was a pre-theatre dinner, and very busy, so the service was a bit chaotic. A salad starter was bought to the bar and only reached the table several minutes later whilst they checked computers and orders trying to locate who had ordered. We waited for our main noticing that others seemed to be served our meals (we had ordered the same meals but also with beans, they queried this as they hadn't ordered any beans). Finally, we had to prompt the waitress to bring our meals and then remind her again for the beans But, she was apologetic, and we enjoyed everything we had. Hence the overall score.
as always very enjoyable! lovely atmosphere , good service and staff were very accommodating.
We had a lovely lunch, the risotto was very tasty and the galette du roix excellent
Beautifully cooked food. Generous portions. V swift pre ballet meal. Lovely service.
The salmon was so juicy that I couldn’t stop eating it, wonderful. My starter arrived before my drink, which was a little weird, i loved the ambiance and the food. I had a good view of the door and they politely turned away a number of people. It is obviously a good idea to book.
We always enjoy our experience at cote Covent Garden. Staff friendly and helpfu
Great venue with great food. I made an error with my booking and inadvertently booked a table for two rather than three. The restaurant was packed with others also hoping to dine before theatre. Despite my mistake the lady at the door shuffled some tables around to accommodate us and moreover we were served with haste to ensure we didn't miss our show. Highly recommended.
Very enjoyable - the staff were very efficient, the menu has a good choice and the food was delicious. Although the restaurant was busy, it still felt relaxed with no pressure to hurry. Will come again!!!
As always, good value and friendly efficient service. Tables a bit too close together- in order to fit in all the clamouring customers one assumes.
Thank you to Amber who really looked after us with the rest of her staff. Lovely meal as always!
As always, excellent food, excellent service, vibrant venue. All four of us loved it. Going to Oxford Circus tomorrow! Thank you.
Very busy branch in the centre of Theatre land and by Covent Garden. Best to book hence wait. Otherwise fab
The Breton Fish Stew I had was so very delicious. Bucketful of gorgeous seafood and the liquid part was so very tasty especially dip with the french slice they supplied with. So yum !!! Highly recommended.
Lovely service and exceptional food - Breton Fish stew is amazing and wine prices very reasonable
Regular visitor to Your Chislehurst branch. The food and service did not disappoint. Being greeted and seated with a smile would have earned the extra star. Such a small thing but so important
Excellent speedy service for a pre theatre meal. All dishes were perfect and service very good despite the restaurant being completely full with a queue at the door. A window table was provided as requested in my booking and consequently despite the full restaurant the noise levels were very comfortable.
First time I have to post a negative review for Cote. Service so so. Chicken tasteless
We chose from the pre-theatre menu...a good variety choices, all delicious and very nicely presented. I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable in my wheelchair, which doesn't always happen in some restaurants. I loved the decor and ambience. We felt we'd had a really special evening out, and the value for money was excellent.
Fabulous breakfast Branch extremely busy so best to book! Hence waiting ☕
Super service, good food and value for money. Will go again.
Great restaurant, good service, lack of the young woman responsible for a little smile on the commercial meaning.
The staff and manager were very helpful and friendly. I was slightly disappointed in the chicken, which was a bit tough, but everything else we had was lovely.
The day of my visit was particularly busy, it was still the Christmas/New Year holiday period and the restaurant was very busy with families. I arrived before my reservation and was happy to wait ten minutes for my table to be ready. The table was not laid properly, missing cutlery and glasses, but that did not bother me, I could see the staff was very busy. I ordered wine and bread before my meal order was taken. The meal order was taken a few minutes later and soon after the bread , wine and starters all arrived at the same time with not enough space on the table. Not enough space given between delivery of bread board and starter. The table was still short of cutlery till the food was delivered. I wanted to try something new and decided on the beef stroganoff from the Prestige menu, but was not available due to delivery issues on the day. The salmon supreme was my next choice. The salmon was absolutely delicious, but the accompanied salad was nothing special. I was very cold and lots of red cabbage, could have done with a dressing of some sort. We always go for the Coupe Noir dessert, one of the chocolate sauce pots were missing from the plate, the waiter had to go back and get it. He noticed it before we did. The chocolate sauce was not the usual, it was watered down. I noticed it immediately, being a regular at this restaurant. I am hoping it was just a bad day and not a trend of falling standards. On my way out, I did not get a good bye from any of the staff, very unusual because I always use Cote as an example for recognition of customers. I hope it was a one off and will be visiting soon to see if things have changed.
Food and service first class, would have been 6 stars but restaurant was a bit warm!
Our waiter was so lovely and attentive, when we had to ask for vinegar a few times he then brought it out with some extra chips which was lovely. We also wanted to smoke outside at the end and he offered to bring our coffee out for us and made sure the heater was on. Food was also delicious and the wine good too. Very happy with our experience and would recommend.
Another excellent visit to this restaurant so convenient for Covent Garden. Great food and great service.
Lovely meal in quiet area downstairs. A good flow between courses allowing ample time to get to the theatre
It Was nice and good value for money. Good location
Meal was lovely. Waiter was a little bit to slap dash.by just dumping things on the table.
Friendly prompt service during busy Friday pre theatre evening slot.
Thoroughly reliable concept. Food consistent, wine selection mid-range (£30-40) could be improved upon. A little more generous on the 'frites' would do no harm! Overall, a good experience.
A great place to go on New Years Eve ...for the second year running!
Extra, il faut y aller absolument, nous ne connaissions pas et nous sommes venus deux fois durant notre séjour de deux semaines. Françoise et Philippe Louvel from FRANCE.
I usually love this place, but yesterday it was a bit chaotic. We had to wait much longer than we usually do and saw waiters list with their plates, not knowing where to bring them. I guess it was because of the new year. Anyway, we'll come back !
Always great food and service at the Cote and this was no exception,
We booked for 9.15pm on New Year's Eve and thought it might be tail end of a very busy day. But no...the service was excellent, the food was some of the best we've had in a long time ( the creme brulee...wow) and the managers were overseeing everything really well and were very attentive. Set menu for NYE is a great idea and the delicious olives and bread a really nice touch. Ambience was fab! And excellent value!
Great buz for New Year but almost too busy, so service was a bit slow
excelent service and food but we were not able to chose the main menu.
Wonderful food excellent service one of our best Nee Years Eve experience thank you to Cote and their staff Guilda
Always top notch, always worth the travel. Food, service and attention to detail cannot be faulted.
Staff were very welcoming, service slow due to being busy. Food mediocre, lack of vegetables. My steak was very good but cold. Annoyed with being charged an 'optional service charge', we were about to leave tip when this was noticed on the bill, very poor. We use Cote a lot in Birmingham but this has coloured our thoughts.
Visiting between Christmas and New year, this was always likely to be busier than normal. We arrived earlier than our booked time and, for a change, were unable to be seated earlier than our booking as the restaurant was absolutely full. After a 20 minute wait, we were seated at exactly our booked time and served quickly and efficiently by the always friendly staff. We use the Cotes, 8-10 times a year and always find them a pleasure to visit.
Lovely New Year’s Eve meal!! So glad we booked to come, we’re regulars and love it
Amazing! James was a very good waiter and all our food was delicious - the staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. A great new year!
Excellent as usual Lovely food very happy with a Cot’t
As always food and service excellent but table a bit too close to the entrance.
Always delicious and good value for money - never disappointing
As always - a fabulous experience in Cote Brasserie!! Ye
