I was responsible for finding a place to have lunch around Aldwych for me, my wife and friends over here from New Zealand. I chose Cote as I've had good - and bad - experiences at Cotes around the country. We were not let down at all. The booking went well, the seating, location and atmosphere were brilliant, and the food and service were excellent. Definitely will come again.

The food was not up to Cote standard, but OK. Noise levels as ever very high when the restaurant is full. Very convenient for our theatre visit.

Good service. Consistently great food. Food and drinks were served promptly. The only wait was for the bill. Thank you

Always wonderful! A group of us (old school pals) come every year and we are looked after very well by the staff who manage to fit their exemplary service in between the endless stream of chat!

Negatives: Fish pie had too many leeks in, Had it before in Oxford and it was nicer. Duck was a little too rare. Positives: Pork belly was absolutely gorgeous, as was the chocolate pud! Always love Cote, service and atmosphere wonderful as always.

Reliably good. Good service and food however we were sitting near the waiters station and they were crashing the crockery so loudly that we had to move. We could still hear it after moving but not quite so loudly. Perhaps a word to the staff?

We booked a table for 8 people on a busy Friday night. We had one guest that was garlic intolerant. The staff were fantastic in providing a first class garlic free meal. Not bad for a French restaurant.

We enjoyed our evening and as usual the food was superb. I just wish the waiting staff would not pressure diners to get off the table so quickly. We dine at Cote regularly and it only seems to be the Central London restaurants that employ these tactics. If there is a 2 hour max policy on the table then Cote should simply confirm this upfront.

A tad disapointing unfortunately - obviously a very busy Cote being in theatre-land but the staff seemed so stressed out it wasn't a very relaxing experience plus when at one point one of the waiting staff poured my wife some wine she did it in such a rush half of it went on the table & on my wife's hand - maybe more staff on duty would help.... Sadly the food was the worst I've ever had at Cote and I've eaten at many of your restaurants - my wife's lamb was very rare - she asked for medium & my Guniea Hen was quite frankly horrible - like it had been boiled not roasted. We didn't complain because we didn't have time as had to get to the theatre & had waited a while for our mains (we had to chase). All in all, not great - would be great to hear from you as I have always been very loyal to Cote as normally your standards are very high.

Food was lovely, wine was gorgeous, and all reasonably priced for the quality. Service was slow, that may be because it was so busy, which is a good sign of a good restaurant. I do think there should be a little more room between the tables though, as I could have easily joined in the conversations on the tables either side of mine, and it might have made it easier for us to hear our own conversation!

We had to wait a while for our table - understandable in the pre-theatre rush. Server was lovely. Food was fine - nothing special to be honest. We've been coming to Cote for years and it certainly feels like the food is becoming more average over time. French Onion soup was a particular let down, hardly any cheese and the crouton was burnt. This used to be a stand out dish! Food came out of the kitchen VERY quickly. I'll go back to Cote, but not to this one.

Pleasantly surprised. Food was good and so was the service. The only thing that was odd was when I was booking a table I called and they said no tables until an hour after mr preferred time. I checked on line and booked my preferred time and there were lots of other slots available too closer to my preferred time when I was told on the phone it’s fully booked. I’d go back again. Team night out.

We had to wait a while for additional drinks and had ordered a side dish which wasn't provided. However the restaurant was busy. Our food however, with the exception of the side dish, was served promptly and was very nice.

We booked a table through my subscribed email and had a lovely table in the window. We were celebrating my birthday and four Kir Royals were brought straight over, which was really nice. The service was great, as usual, the waiter was very helpful. The food was delicious and we were all happy. We asked for the bill and as we were waiting about 4 staff came over with a delicious chocolate bombe with a lit candle and sang Happy Birthday to me, it was a total lovely surprise!!! After, I thanked my family and they said it wasn’t them, it must’ve been our waiter (Erlin) that organised it. It was a very lovely gesture that totally made me smile. Thank you x

Very unsatisfactory visit to Cote Brasserie in Tavistock St London Food was fine bill was £41.00 plus service charge. We had a Cote gift card for £60, I said to take £40 and leave balance of £20 They said NO They wanted to take all £60 and we would loose £20 Total rip off, we had no issue in Cambridge Eventually they did it left us with balance of £19 and gave us £5 extra Big deal, very unsatisfactory Will not go back to this branch and will ask my brother on America not to buy any more gift cards from Cote, totally spoit my wife's birthday
