The food was delicious and came on hot plates which I find very important. The Service was very good and the waitress was friendly and efficient.
Warm welcome on arrival, with friendly staff in attendance. Food, as usual was excellent - especially the sea bass. Surprised the restaurant was so full, being it was a Monday evening. Would definitely recommend.
Very good food and the pre theatre offer is good but the restaurant is SO NOISY. Something needs to be done about the acoustics. It was very difficult to have a conversation and we went somewhere quieter for coffee.
Very good value for a Central London Restaurant. Food nicely presented and friendly staff and good service. Very busy for a weekday lunch time, but we were able to have a fairly quiet table towards the back. Am a regular customer here as they have a good choice of set menus to suit most people.
Good food. Cheerful staff. Vey welcoming. Always consistent. A very reliable standard, and ideal for a pre-theatre dinner. Staff very friendly but professional as well .
Good for a pre or post theatre meal , Always good value for the prices and staff very helpful. Ned to book if wanting to go before theatre.
Lovely food and good wine. The steak tartare was very tasty. Service was really good. Desserts are amazing. Slightly noisy as tables are quite packed it so not good if there are a lot of people as you can't hear well.
Always excellent food at all Cote restaurants but Covent Garden in particular is reliable every time for well cooked food, fast and friendly service, and a vibrant atmosphere. We come back here time and time again, especially for a quick (but delicious) pre-theatre meal.
Food is excellent. One of the good things is offering light main menu.
Very good food and friendly efficient staff, great evening worth a visit. The 10year celebration menu was very good value and he glass of champagne was a nice touch.
Service was excellent and with a smile. Food, was good quality as you'd expect from Cote. Great location in the heart of the west end.
It is always a pleasure to visit Côte St Martin's Lane. We visit often. The service is always excellent and the staff are always courteous and attentive.
We had an excellent meal to create my daughter's birthday. The food was excellent and I specially enjoyed the succulent steak and the delicious creme caramel. The ambience was perfectly suited to a birthday celebration and the staff friendly and efficient. Thank you
Cote at Covent Garden was fantastic last night. We were greeted warmly, the service was outstanding, very friendly staff and the food was delicious, thoroughly recommend this Cote.
Great place. Very central. Great staff. Lovely food and good price. Recommended for a bite to eat before the theatre. We had breakfast. Drinks were great toLush.
Cote is one of my favourite restaurants but this one is always too packed, meaning my table wasn't ready even though I had booked.
When you book well in advance at a place you have never been before it is with a sense of relief to be greeted and served by pleasant attentive staff, this proved to be an excellent choice for our pre theatre meal, we both chose from the two course set menu and were not disappointed
Great food at a great price as always with Cote. Staff very friendly and quick service for a pre-theatre meal. Toulouse sausages with lentils very tasty!
We had a charming waitress who checked we were happy with the food etc. We had nice table with plenty of room so not having to hear conversations of other tables. The fixed price menu had good choices - all in all good experience.
The set menu is very good value for money and the service was also good. From many visits to different Cotes I know that the food I will get will be consistently good and the price reasonable
We found the staff really friendly and helpful. The food was really good and excellent value for money. Will definitely visit when next visiting London.
Good food. Reasonable prices and efficient service An ideal place to meet friends for lunch. Their creme.m caramel is the. Eat ever. Will go back soon
Although very busy, service excellent as was the food and the complimentary Kir Royale! Compliments to staff involved as they were all run off their feet but couldn't have been more pleasant, helpful and efficient - well done. We finished in plenty of time to catch our show, thank you.
I was disappointed this time. Generally the food at Cote is excellent but I made the mistake of choosing one of the specials: whole lemon sole which had a lot of bones and not much fish so was not very filling at all. It was very expensive too, considering it came without any vegetables. I wouldn't have it again. The americano had lots of flavour.
The pre-theatre menu of steak and frites , peach crumble and ice cream was delicious - the steak juicy, tasty and medium , just as I asked. Excellent slick service, buzzy feel to the place. I'll be back!
I eat here regularly because the food is good but it isn't too formal. The pre-Theatre menu is *okay*, and good value, but I prefer the (not too expensive) a la carte offerings. You'll have to wait 20 minutes if you opt to dodge the starters, but that's fine if you aren't rushing to get anywhere. Staff are keen, pleasant, and helpful, of the standard that you expect in central London these days. It might be me, but the last three times I have been here, one of the staff has broken something. Dread to think what their crockery and glasses bill comes to every month.
Very enjoyable lunch, although I have been many times before, this was the first time I tried the set menu. Excellent value, and delicious food.
I asked for a large glass of wine which seemed to be not so large. As the glasses are not marked as in a pub I was not sure so did not complain. I ordered a starter and a main course. After 30 mins I was served with the main course - NO STARTER! The waitress apologised so I had a dessert which I had not intended to have originally. I was given a 20% discount on my bill which did count as some recompense. It rather spoiled my evening as the starter was one to which I was looking forward.
Slow and did not understand our need to have all food delivered at the same time. One dish particularly unappetising and not as expected. On the plus side very comfortable atmosphere and quick to offer goodwill gesture.
4 of us enjoyed an excellent meal however we all said its a sham that the smoked salmon had been removed from the starters menu as it would have been our choice. Ended up having a starter from the vegetarian menu as it has less 'heavy' choice on it.
The restaurant was Busy but we had good service and the staff were very helpful and polite. The meal was very Good value for money.
This was part of a wedding gift for our guests. Well looked after from arriving early to paying the bill .Everyone left happy and happy to return and recommend.
Excellent value for the pre-theatre menu - good choice in all three courses, very tasty, and pleasant attentive service. Rather noisy atmosphere makes conversation difficult at times.
Excellent location if you are going to the theatre. Service was excellent, food was great and the ambiance was wonderful. The restaurant is a bit frenetic (getting people in and out quickly)....but overall a great experience
We went there to have pre-theatre lunch, very quick service, good food from set menu, polite and helpful staff . Would definitely come back again
I realised I hadn't really booked early enough to make sure our party made our theatre visit. However, the Maitre D was very helpful and when our party arrived 15 mins earlier than booked, we were shown immediately to our table. Service throughout was very good. I'd definitely choose them again. We were all very happy with our choices - and we had plenty of time to get settled in the theatre before the show started.
Great food. Staff were brilliant! Very attentive. Loved it. Would definitely go back on our next trip to London. Location great for theatre visits. Would recommend.
The Restaurant is clean, welcoming, and serves excellent food with polite attentive service and perfect for a pre-post Theatre meal. Would certainly recommend this Restaurant .
The restaurant was good value for money and the service was excellent. It was the ideal place for a pre theatre meal very close to Leicester Square.
We went on the first day of the September menu & it is very good. Can particularly recommend the Toulouse sausage dish - very French and delicious.
Booked Covent Garden Cote with my daughter to celebrate my birthday. We had a lovely meal and when staff realised it was a birthday lunch they treated us to a complimentary drink and a delicious cup cake dessert complete with a chorus of Happy Birthday. Great fun.
Another great meal at a favourite branch of Cote. Coven Garden is so convenient for many theatre visits and the efficient service means you wont miss curtain up.
The pre theatre menu which I chose was, as usual, of a consistently high standard. Simply delicious food, excellent value, and polite efficient service. Highly recommended.
I visited with three friends and we all thought the food was excellent and great value for money. However, we found it too noisy, which detracted from the overall experience. We could not understand why there was also loud music playing!
"Open" but not ready to serve at 8. Served (after others and requesting) somewhat belatedly c 820. Service picked up with manager attention! Food good. Useful location.
Service friendly and efficient Food tasty and pleasantly laid out Not too much but looked attractive and a pleasure to eat Good choice of wines
Had the pre-theatre set menu, which was very good. The restaurant was full at lunchtime and although busy, the service was fine. However, we did find it far too noisy with everyone talking as there are no soft furnishings to absorb the sounds.
Friendly and helpful service. However the main course took half an hour to arrive and I had my grandchildren aged 9 and 6 waiting. We had to leave to get to the theatre and ice cream and the bill arrived at thesame time. I frequently use Cote so it was a surprise that it was so slow on a week day.
The food was of the usual high standard but the service was a little more hit and miss than I've come to expect at Côte. It was incredibly busy and just felt as though they could have done with an extra pair of hands! Still, they were happy for my friend and I to sit and chat on a very wet afternoon, no sense at all of being hurried along to free up the table and as I say the food is always consistently good, so I'll definitely be back!
Consistent food and quick, efficient, friendly pre theatre supper. It's our GO TO - we've tried loads and usually been disappointed - and doesn't let us down.
