Good service but the food was poor, all our party had the mushroom and spinach crepes and we all said that the spinach was gritty, don't think it had been washed property

Usual good standard of food. Wrong side order bought to table - maybe because waiter didn't write order down. took too long to bring the correct one by which time we'd nearly finished dinner. No serving spoons given for sides - should be automatic. had to wait too long for those. Waited too long for bill then too long to pay.

Celebrating my birthday with a couple of friends and a tasty meal. The complimentary glass of kit royal was a good start to the evening.

Very noisy, particularly with 2 ladies on a nearby table talking excessively loudly to each other. Next time we will request a table in what might be a quieter spot in the restaurant.

the staff were excellent, the food was good and I was given a table that I had asked for. Had a really good experience in spite of some awkward people sitting near me but who were dealt with quietly and effectively by the staff. Very impressed all round

Great food, great value. So reliable, every dish was tasty and well presented. The pre theatre menu arrived swiftly and we enjoyed the seasonal wine selection too. A fabulous start to a fabulous evening!

Quick service, good food, pleasant staff and atmosphere. The restaurant is conveniently situated, the menu varied and sensibly priced. I have recommended this restaurant to many people.

Showed us to our table straight away even though we were early. Very tasty food and a good menu choice. Would definitely visit again when in the area.

Very good experience. Quick service, good food, cheerful atmosphere. Noisy, but have yet to find an affordable London restaurant that still has carpets & soft furnishings.

Lovely food, excellent service and a couple of complimentary treats - what's not to like?! Only problem is that restaurant was particularly noisy with some very thoughtless people on the next table making unnecessary noise. You can't help this of course - we will be back! Good food, quick service. Restaurant a little noisy due to pre-theatre crowd but this didn't spoil the experience. Eat from set menu and food was good.

We are great fans of Cote and frequent one whenever we can. We were visiting London for so it was the obviously choice. The staff were brilliant as always, there was only one disappointment with one main but apart from that the food, drinks and ambience were very good.

An enjoyable meal with a good menu, and helpful friendly staff. Noise levels at busy times can make conversation difficult, although it is appreciated that there is little that can be done to reduce this other than to have fewer covers!

You can't go wrong with Cote, excellent food, service and value, I can thoroughly recommend this chain , all the staff are polite efficient and extremely well trained.

Arrived at the restaurant at 6.50 pm with friends. When we were ready to place order at around 6.58 pm we were told we can't order the set menu which was till 7pm only!!

Food and service was great. However, evening spoilt with presence of an unruly party of about 10, celebrating, who could only scream and shout to each other, rather than having an ordinary conversation.

A nice restaurant, buzzy even on a Monday luichtime. However, our main course order was incorrect (although quite quickly remedied) and food was disappointing. Portion sizes were very small for risotto and chocolate pots. Service started well but petered out. Not a patch on their Oxford branch, which we like very much.

Poor service and below average food. Had to send steak back as was pretty much like cardboard. Not what I normally expect from cote. Very disappointed.

Went for pre-theatre dinner at Cote, St Martin's Lane. Had booked table. Service was excellent. We had meals from the pre-theatre dinner menu. The main course was goo, but we felt that the portions were very small (hence only a mark of 4), and you really need to order some additional vegetables. The chocolate mousse however, is to die for!

Helpful staff; reasonable prices; good service. A good experience - but I usually expect all this from a Cote having been a loyal follower since the early days!

This is a great cote branch, usually excellent service and good value for money food and right in the heart of theatre land. The pre theatre meal especially is excellent value

Our visit to St Marin's Lane was most enjoyable. Our guests did not know Cote restaurants. And they were very impressed and wished they had one in Bury St Edmunds.

Picked food off of the pre-theatre menu. The portions are on the smaller size which is perfect to enjoy all three courses! The main negative would be the noise, it was very busy and were a bit much a times.

A warm welcome on arrival, great table by the window. Excellent, attentive and very prompt service and an excellent choice of food as always. Cannot fault in any way.

The staff were extremely friendly and provided a great service. Food was very good and the menu provided a wide variety of choice. We were not rushed even though the restaurant was buy and enjoyed a very pleasant dining experience.

The food was excellent and the service efficient and polite. The atmosphere is vey relaxed. Great place to eat and superb value, but not a place to go if you're tight for time. Thankfully we weren't in a hurry, so could just enjoy.

Pleasant brasserie located in heart of theatreland with good atmosphere, excellent menu selection and friendly, efficient service. Set menus offer excellent value. Highly recommended - we will be going back.

Six of us had the lunch menu - 2 courses for £12.50 which is excellent value for somewhere in the heart of Covent Garden, London. We were very comfortable. The food was superb and we were not made to feel uncomfortable when we lingered after finishing our coffees. The service was very excellent and the waiting staff were very friendly and professional. Will definitely be going again. Can recommend the NV Brut Cremant De Bourgogne for drinking - lovely stuff!

This was a special occasion, and I booked a table for our party as I knew the restaurant would be busy with the pre theatre diners. We chose the St. Martins Lane branch of Cote as it was convenient for all of us. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome. The waiting staff were exceptionally helpful. The food was super, and whole evening was a complete success. Cote always offers exceptional value for money and a standard of food and service it is very hard to better.

Charming service, reliable quality, Cote is my 'go to' for catch ups with friends. Plus if you are eating early, the set meal offers great value for money- whats not to like?

Food lovely as usual but when I arrived to check in, the manager was friendly at first saying he would give us the best table in the house which I thought was nice and would be by the window, unfortunately, this was a table on the end of a corridor section, so we had people bustling past all the time. I was not happy.

Went there for pre-theatre meal, food was good, service fine, a little slow getting the first course, made us a bit anxious, but just enough time for two courses.

As always, a great meal with excellent service. A big noisy, but then what can you expect in a crowded restaurant? The reason it's crowded, is the reason we go - it's a great value, consistently excellent restaurant.

A very comfortable room with plenty of space. Just the right kind of waiters, and you won't feel hassled to hurry over your meal. The food is always of the same high standard, with good ingredients, and interesting dishes.

Typical chain. No attention to detail and priced at the highest they can get away with. Ok if you are in a hurry, but not a destination.
