Very good value set lunch. Pleasant and efficient staff and excellent food. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation and will certainly use it again for theatre visits to town.
The restaurant had a nice ambience and there was a very good choice of options on the french menu, very tasty food, great staff and the pre-theatre menu was a steel! Highly recommended.
Always a good reliable place to eat and excellent value . This branch is particularly good. Would return. Perfect for a lunch with friends easy to chat. Or a pretty theatre meal.
The food was great as usual but the service was a bit slow and I had to question items on the bill which held us up further. This was no reflection on the waiter, rather that he seemed to be doing an awful lot by himself.
Dirty glass, stained serviette, water or glass tasted of dish liquid, one order wrong, garlic butter frozen, given empty condiment bottle, replacement bottle unopened/difficult to open. On plus side, sirloin steak was excellent even though not warm enough to melt garlic butter. Overall OK, but there are too many restaurants to go back to an OK one.
This was a repeat visit to this establishment: Regrettably, it shall be my last. My guest and I ordered from the simple luncheon menu: Nothing difficult about the order. Our starters and wine arrived timely. We then sat for near 90 minutes for our mains. During that time, the couple to my right was seated, served and departed. A couple two tables to my left was handled just as the one to my right. When our mains finally arrived, my chicken was cold. The waiter offered to "heat it up" but by that point the dining experience was ruined. The fact that the manager compt my meal was a nice gesture but the damage to what was to be a pleasant reunion with an old friend was done. I dislike apologies, of which there were some. YOU put it on offer; YOU get it right, and there will be no need for apologies.
My friend and I had a lovely meal at Cote,St Martins Lane. I had booked a table online and glad I did as it was very busy. When we arrived I mentioned to the member of staff who greeted us that I had a problem with my knee following a recent fracture and could we have a slightly bigger table so I could elevate my leg if necessary. Even though it was busy and space was at a premium they were very accommodating and brought another chair for me to rest my leg. This made a huge difference to my comfort and enjoyment of dining at Cote. I have dined in a few branches of Cote and have always enjoyed good food and service.
We always enjoy visiting this restaurant. The staff and service are excellent and never failing. The management is extremely efficient and the staff respond very well.
Good service, great food, wonderful atmosphere. Love the chain, whichever branch you go to, you can expect the same quality of food, efficiency in the service and a delight to see and feel the enthusiasm of the staff
Very good and fast service by the servers who were very friendly and helpful so especially good for a pre theatre meal. Good layout of the restaurant with nice open aspect. Would certainly recommend friends to visit. Food also very acceptable.
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Good friends, good food, attentive staff and a reasonable price - what not to like! Having visited a number of Cote's we find the standard very consistent and the menu diverse enough not to be too repetitive.
Server was very attentive and professional, although the restaurant was very busy he wasn't stressed or rude. We were not in a rush to eat, but 2 courses and coffee for 3 of us took 2 hours. I would advise only go for an evening meal if you and your guests have plenty of time due to the large amount of people "pre-theatre" dining.
Great food and great service, everybody serving you with grace congratulations We recommend the breakfast, we never had lunch but looked great also, try it
Our first visit in London although we have eaten at the Birmingham Restaurant earlier. A splendid Dinner. We selected the Pre-Theatre Menu and enjoyed very good value with delicious food. Our only small criticism was that the Brioche with Mushroom starter was served on cold plates and had cooled before delivery. We did not complain because the waiter was wonderfully attentive and looked after us brilliantly to speed through our service. We will come again.
Very nice. Good food, reasonable price. Smiley helpful service. Had pre theatre menu... Location good for theatres nearby. First time here , would visit again.
We went before theatre., arriving at 6 p.m. The place was full and as a consequence the service was very slow. The food was not as good as at Cote in Hampstead. Profiterols were good but a bit dry. Should have had hot chocolate on top, but we did not ask because of the risk of being late at the show which was starting at 7.30. Should have more personnel for pre-theatre meals.
Very nice meal and good service. Very pleased with allocation of window Table. Great venue for pre theatre meals will be coming back again thank you
we had an excellent waitress who made the whole experience very good. The food was very tasty especially the haddock and we had three delicious desserts. A good evening.
Really enjoyable pre show dinner. Good food, good price, great location. Our waitress was Silvia who was really helpful and friendly. Keep up the good work and see you soon.
Very busy! Free kir royale on arrival which was good. Good food although duck was over cooked, we sent it back but second was still over cooked. Overall though recommend
Very good value for money and a good varied menu A la carte is reasonable but the set menu is a bargain at just over £12 It gets very busy at peak times so best to book and ask for a table at the front as it is noisy at the back
Food was usual Cote good standard and value for money, the staff were attentive and anxious to please despite being exceptionally busy, but it is a noisy venue and this distracts.
The manager was exceptional and made every effort to give us an amazing dining experience. The food was well presented and tasted delicious. We felt really welcome. I recommend wholeheartedly!
The choice of seat / table was disappointing, my Mother walks with a stick and has mobility challenges - that should have been very clear; we were given a very constrained and cramped seats / table; there were others with better access available when we arrived. The pear salad was very poor; the steak and croque monsieur were satisfactory / good; The fixed price menu was good, but see comments above; the staff tried hard at a very busy time, Thank you
First class brasserie experience. Great atmosphere, busy restaurant, Good 2 or 3 course lunch/pre-theatre menu. Food not over-complicated, stylishly presented, impeccable service from switched-on staff. If you turn up without a booking, prepare to be disappointed!
GOOD VALUE OVERALL. A COUPLE MORE VEGETARIAN CHOICES WOULD HAVE BEEN APPRECIATED.TABLES WERE VERY CLOSE TOGETHER SO GETTING OUT WAS A BIT TRICKY WITHOUT DISTURBING THOSE AROUND. STAFF WORKED ALMOST NON STOP.
We went here for the pre theatre menu and were not disappointed. Food was usual high standard and service attentive but not over the top. Perfect venue for a night at the theatre.
Great staff, with fabulous food from a varied menu, fantastic location for the Coliseum Theatre. Made the reservation online confirmed by email, highly recommend that you make a reservation, people were queuing for a table not long after we got there
IT IS WORTHWHILE BOOKING TABLE IN ADVANCE FOR A PRE-THEATER MATINEE PERFORMANCE, WHICH WE DID, THE SERVICE WAS PROMPT AND THE WAITER VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT
Excellent value and prompt service as always but both calamari and fish slightly overdone. Always friendly and full of pre theatre/ opera crowd. We will go back
We were given a very warm welcome on arrival, and everyone was exceptionally efficient, even though it was during a very busy post matinee/pre evening theatre time-slot. The meal we chose was, as always, excellent , nicely cooked, and presented, 'and' served 'hot', as it should be. The staff at St.Martin's are always bright, and breezy, giving the restaurant a very good atmosphere. Well Done! 10/10! (ps Why do all the Cote's I visit, mostly the London ones, not serve their White Wine (I usually have the house wine) really chilled?)
Excellent as always. Cote are an excellent chain of eateries and I have enjoyed every one that I have visited. I intend to try many more!
Good food and service as always. Had the mushroom brioche and grilled chicken from the set menu, which were both good. Although very busy the food came quickly and with good service. Others were being turned away as the restaurant was full (Saturday at 6pm), so you do need to book at this time.
Very professional, quick service and balanced choice of french brasserie style dishes in good value pre-theatre menu. Very convenient for Covent Garden and Trafalgar square theatre-land.
lovely restaurant, friendly staff and good food too! Would recommend it for anyone visiting london. Nothing was too much trouble...compliments to the chef and all the waiters.
excellent service, courteous staff, good menu choice. very good value for money. we visit often and shall continue to do so. very satisfied with everything.
Good food. Reasonable prices. Best Crete caramel ever Set menu is well priced and has good variety of choices. Air conditioning should be turned down.
Booking is essential and we were glad we had booked a table for our pre-theatre meal as customers without bookings were being turned way. The set menu at £12.50 for two courses or £13.95 for three courses was very good value. We enjoyed every course: the starters of cauliflower and leek soup, and tuna rillettes; the mains of hake with chickpeas, and steak frites; dessert: crumble aux pommes with vanilla ice-cream. The staff were friendly and the service was very good.
Staff friendly and the food was delicious. The speed of food was fast and right time. Really love it and would love to visit again if I'm going to a olay
We loved it here. Great atmosphere and very friendly service. The staff were efficient and attentive. Food very well presented and tasty. Would definitely go again.
Fantastic service, delicious food & very reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere for post theatre meal as still busy & lively despite being late. Great evening & will definitely be back!
The food is good and excellent value. The staff are well trained attentive and polite. The place always has a buzz and feel which is welcoming and comfortable. Special mention for Darius, Rosa and Fernando who work hard to ensure everyone is well attended. We look forward to returning on Saturday.
Excellent lunch in terms of food and price. Set lunch is fantastic value for money and there is plenty of choice. Charming servers, what's not to like?
I love love love Cote , consistanly fab as I'm a regular customer I really don't want to be asked this question everytime I eat there.
Consistently excellent food and service. Steak tartare and crème caramel is a regular favourite. I had the prom belly and potato gratin this time. Delicious!
Fab restaurant, incredibly quick service and very professional, despite being absolutely heaving. Food was incredible and their pre theatre menu is an absolute bargain, and covers most of the food options from the main menu
We went on a weekday lunchtime. The food was good. This price was very reasonable. We were not rushed to finish our meal and leave quickly. Overall a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Great food, good service, lovely evening. I always enjoy coming to Cote, first time at that specific restaurant and where the tables are a bit too close together we still had a nice evening and didn't feel rushed.
Excellent food and service, as always. I have my favourites at Cote, but always enjoy the chance to try something new, so appreciate the changing menus.
Staff efficient and very cheerful despite being very busy. They were available when wanted but not intrusive. Atmosphere was pleasant and food very good value. Best creme caramel ever.
