Excellent food and service. Great menu choice and set lunch good value. Nice buzzy atmosphere and friendly staff. Wasn't rushed at all - great choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
We really like this restaurant. The food is good and the service friendly. Whenever we are going to theatre, we usually go there and have never been disappointed.
Excellent value for money on the pre theatre set menu, good choice of dishes and pleasant staff. The position is ideal for dinner before going to the ENO
Love this chain! Great food, good service, nice wine and good locations. A chain restaurant that keeps you coming back and back. Very very tasty!
No note had been taken of the request for a table with banquet/bench which I need as I have great difficulty getting out of chairs as am disabled, as I had said in my booking request. So had to wait for a table to become available, and we were pushed for time as we were going to the theatre. The table eventually found was next to the bar, where we had, first of all French Fries spilt on us by passing waiters, and then beer.
Nice food though some of dishes could have been better, nice window seat, food criticism included underseasoned chicken, roast pork crackling was not crispy but soft so not nice to eat and was left which is a shame as that is the treat of ordering roast pork, also icecream in chocolate sauce dessert only came as single scoop which seemed stingy for £4.95 price so more sauce than ice cream! My creme brulee however was perfect and best one I've had to date. Service after our main courses were cleared was slow-we seemed to have been forgotten and had to ask twice for dessert menu and left lot later than planed with so much waiting around. Noone came to deal with bill and my friend didn't like to leave cash unattended but didn't want another long wait so had to go find someone to give it to. I had a nice evening there but some aspects could have been better.
It was an old friends reunion occasion so los of talking . The staff were challenged as a result but rose to the occasion admirably.
Even though the restaurant was extremely busy with post matinee/pre evening theatre goers, staff were courteous and efficient. Food was good and as usual great value.
Went for lunch before the theatre, food and service was brilliant, didn't feel rushed and enjoyed lovely food as usual at Cote, never fails to delight
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, usually go to Cote in Tavistock St. This was just as good and will visit again for a pre theatre meal.
Family lunch after a visit to the National Gallery. Great location, friendly staff and excellent service. Food came promptly without being rushed, and was of good quality. Would recommend.
Good food and excellent value pre theatre menu. It get's quite noisy when it's busy. Our friend discovered online that you can ask to see their vegetarian menu. Perhaps they should advertise this more widely. She was impressed with the food.
Excellent food service and price. Need to. lol as it is v. Busy pre theatre. It this did not have a negative impact on the experience.
From the moment we arrived to when we left, we felt the service was excellent, the restaurant was busy but we weren't kept waiting when we ordered our food. When it arrived, it was perfect and in all the experience was one I will certainly do again.
Excellent food and service, but very very noisy as it was crowded with people talking very loudly. We had to move to another table, but were still having to shout. Not good as it was a reunion lunch and a lot had to be said.
Great meal at reasonable prices Always our first choice for theatre and odd nights out Cite in St Martins Lane and Covent Garden have given us great service And, nearly forgot Bluewater and Sevenoaks
The staff were exceptionally helpful from the initial booking right through the meet and greet and waiter service. The food was excellent and great value for money. I joined your reward scheme and had a free bottle of white wine too!
Our meal was ruined by my wife having to wait 5-10 minutes for her second course after mine had been served and the staff needing a reminder. There is no excuse for not serving people at the same table together especially as we were only two. The plates were however warm! This is a very noisy restaurant and we were surrounded by people shouting at each other to be heard. Staff were however welcoming and attentive.
The food and service were excellent. Try and sit on the left side of the restaurant, as the right hand side is not air conditioned and can get rather hot!
Despite being bustling with many pre-theatre parties, atmosphere was pleasant, service friendly and efficient, food produced to a high standard at reasonable prices for London. Particularly commend our waiter ~ Francesco. Will come again, thank you.
Great food and wonderful service. Our waitress,Pippa, was a joy. Great value for money. And opposite the theatre we were then going to. Will definitely return.
Can't really fault our visit - from the moment we entered the restaurant to be met by a friendly host to the service, quality of food and price. The restaurant was busy but not noisy. Overall an excellent experience - definitely visit again.
Meal was good value for money. Service was good. Rather noises as it was very busy. Tables were placed too closely together. So much so you can hear every word of he neighbouring tables
its a good quality chain. Very good but not exceptional. Good for a pre'theatre meal out. the staff were attentive and prompt without excessively friendly.
Excellent meal but when my vegetarian guest ordered scallops, he asked the waiter to tell the chef to hold the bacon. The request was ignored and my guest had to remove the bacon pieces onto a side-plate.
Waitress service excellent. Starter excellent beetroot salad. Main so disappointing had rissoto which was overcooked and pretty tasteless. Pudding same - Apple tart pastry limp and tough. What a shame as I have visited many cote brasseries Lincoln/Marlow/Windsor/two in Covent Garden area/amersham and always enjoyed the food. I am hoping this was a bad day and not a sign of things to come!
We love COTE restaurants for a chain you feel like the meals are not pre prepared and staff are always good. As you would expect this is a very busy restaurant in London sometimes a little difficult get attention but nothing that would stop us returning.
A great location and very good for post theatre dinner with welcoming and helpful staff. The standard can always be relied upon with good food and wines.
Excellent value for money in the centre of the west end Superb choice of set menu Such a good deal for the discerning theatre goer
Everything as expected - great food and friendly staff. We were last to leave the restaurant, but didn't get any feeling of being pushed out.
Service was good but our chicken was dry, vegetable were cold. Normally the food is of a good service, so it disappointing to only post you guys a 3.
Service was good but attention to detail lacking on this visit. We had to ask at least 3 times if we could have the wine we had ordered some 20 mins before. Also a mix up with drinks ordered before meal. Nothing to stop us making a return visit. Food was great!
We had very helpful and quick service before a London show. There were four people in the party. The restaurant was very busy and we were glad that we had booked.
Very busy. Food was not hot . No one checked if everything was OK. Slow service so didn't have time for dessert which I would have had. We had allowed 1 ½ hours for the meal.
Loved it! Always great service, always great food. Cote Brasserie works hard to give itself the feel of a Parisian bistro and here at Covent Garden, it definitely hits the mark.
Friendly & fast service. We ate on the theatre menu which was great value but portion sizes were not massive if youre very hungry! Overall was a lovely meal though, would recommend.
This was once again a very good experience. Fine food, good wines, well served and all that without breaking the bank. Côte Brasserie delivers a constant stream of quality without the slightest glitch. How do they do this?
Fantastic pre-theatre dinner service, good choice and great quality food, very efficient all round a great experience and they know how to serve the meal at a steady pace to get you out on time!
We were in a hurry so asked what the quickest dish would be, minute steak and fries was the reply. Happy with that we ordered 3 of this but specifically with no garlic as one of our party is severely allergic to it. The steaks came fairly quickly but all had garlic butter on top so one had to be sent back. As we were pressed for time (theatre) it was annoying that such a simple request had been ignored. Otherwise all was excellent and I would still recommend Côte restaurants.
Excellent value and super food. Excellent value and super food. Excellent value and super food. Excellent value and super food. Excellent value and super food
The food and service were excellent but the restaurant was so full that there was a tremendous din and everyone had to shout to be heard which made the general volume of background noise very unpleasant.
An enjoyable meal and good service but the waiter forgot to bring pre-dinner drinks & nibbles beforehand, because no doubt because it was very busy!
We had booked for 1815 and had to be at the theatre for 1925. Before booking our meal, we asked if we would have time to have 2 courses. The waiter assured us that we would; however, the main course didn't get to our table until 1915. We had to shovel it down to rush out. Not the usual service I've come to expect from Cote.
Excellent value, really good food and service. Staff are very pleasant, helpful and attentive - and given how busy it was, something of a miracle!
Reasonably priced food and drink. Rillettes were particularly good. Attentive waiting staff. Good atmosphere. A great place for a pre-theatre meal. We will be coming back.
Booked as close to theatre venue. Starters delicious but mains a litle dry. Very busy and not enough waiters for clientele. Good value for money.
I have been to Cote Brasseries before so I know they are good. However, it was the first time for my friend and she thoroughly enjoyed it! The quality and choice of food is good and prices reasonable. I am always happy to recommend Cote and now my friend will be doing so too!
We booked the meal about a week earlier. Reception and service were efficient throughout. The food arrived quickly and every item was excellent. A most pleasant meal.
The restaurant had a nice ambience and there was a very good choice of options on the french menu, very tasty food, great staff and the pre-theatre menu was a steel! Highly recommended.
Very good value set lunch. Pleasant and efficient staff and excellent food. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation and will certainly use it again for theatre visits to town.
