This restaurant always has an excellent ambience and a buzz about it; packed as usual with pre theatre diners. Good value meals and excellent service.
Cote food and service was as good as ever. But it was packed and down in the basement the noise was deafening which spoilt the experience.
Great meal here, as ever. Staff always friendly even though the place is always mobbed. Decent value and my duck confit was scrumptious. My husband had the baked camembert, which came with a generous helping of fresh crusty bread for dipping, and was pronounced very tasty.
Great menu great staff although could be a bit quicker did have to keep asking for things ordered etc... The manageress was very helpful and apologetic.. Overall everyone was lovely and we had a great Birthday lunch.
Perfect pre dinner meal, great atmosphere. lots of other venues are available too mostly right next to the theatres. food was tasty, fresh, hot and served quickly, great prices too.
Great service with an attentive waiter. Busy and lively atmosphere. Very convienent for theatre's. Quick service with out being rushed. Will use again in the future.
Very good food, service and atmosphere. Twenty five words is far too many and up until today I have refused to write a review! Far too many all you need to know is Good or Bad!!! Unless this is changed I will not be filling in any further requests.
Good food, good service, convenient to theater district but SUPER busy for dinner on matinee days because of post- and pre- crowds. Would go again.
Excellent meal wit has a good service and very helpful attentive caring staff. You were very busy but you cared for us as if we were the only people in at the time. Once again a big thank you to all your staff. Hope to go to our local restaurant in Chelmsford soon. Many thanks John Wark
As usual an excellent experience at restaurant. Staff work incredibly hard at this busy venue (pre theatre). Food and drink delivered efficiently but without diners feeling rushed. Essential booking at busy times. Food very good too
As always, Cote provided a tasty pre-theatre meal at a reasonable price, with excellent service. It's rather cramped, and a little on the noisy side, but highly recommended.
An excellent value pre-theatre meal. The restaurant was very busy, but the service was still good. The quality of the food was good too. We will go back again! Highly recommended.
The usual high standard of service and quality of food. No wonder every table appeared to be occupied - people know they can rely on Cote.
An enjoyable meal. Good ambience. The food and wine were excellent. Sorry we didn't have time for a dessert! The staff were friendly and efficient.
very good service, and delicious food,a big thank you cote we will be back for more hopefully very soon, well done at cote ST MARTINS LANE
Good food , set menu has wide choice . Very busy restaurant you need to book as they were full on Wednesday lunch time .
This branch of Cote provides excellent food and value, and always provides great service. We will go back and enjoy when we visit London again.
Service fast, food tasty. Only downside was the noise and at my request they turned the music down and this helped the 'talk level' to decrease too.
The 3 course lunch had a good variety to choose from and the food was a high standard. We had outstanding service and we thought it was excellent value. Many thanks.
Love using this venue - always great food , good atmosphere and very friendly service . We can't fault it for value for money given the central location
Cote has a good menu which seems to have something to please most of the people most of the time. Ideally situated for the theatres and Coliseum in St Martin's Lane it can be relied on for efficient service and good food.
Another great restaurant meal with excellent food and service. I keep coming back time and time again because the set menu is so good. I would recomend this place to anyone.
Good service and food quite enjoyable. Restaurant rather noisy at 7pm so not easy to hear each others' conversation. Would probably go to another Cote in a quieter place.
Restaurant in good location for theatres and London n9ght life. Good food and overall nice experience staff friendly and attentive would go back again and can recommend to others.
tTable service Staff unfriendly and slow to respond- they seemed to forget we were customers- one even seemed to get annoyed when we made a request. Also frisée salad cold - no apology- service POOR- arrogant male in particular with beard- also staff walked up and down with no eye contact i.e. Not looking around- and yet service included! Not good POOR.
Very busy with good atmosphere, staff a bit overworked to be attentative but food was perfect, i would recomend this Coté to anyone who is looking for a lively café with lots going on, not for a quiet romantic meal though,,, again , food was great
The restaurant was busy with early evening customers. Our food was well prepared, the service was friendly but not over attentive, the fixed price menu choices were good and excellent value for central London.
Excellent staff, helpful and very friendly. Menu full of choice and very tasty. Excellent value for money on the lunchtime special, would certainly recommend booking.
Yummy food perfect service. And what would we do without all these wonderful EU staff that bring such quality and character to our London restaurants?
quickly seated at a busy time-food was very nice(pate starter, duck and pork mains)good selection of wines,we chose the Bordeaux, which was excellent. The service was very good, full marks to our waitress(Sylvia)
Good value for money especially with the free bottle of wine. Wouldn't have the beetroot salad again though. Under-cooked and bland. The fish pie was ok but the sauce was thin
I booked the wrong time for our dinner but the manager was super kind and sorted a table for us straight away. Our two waiters were both lovely guys. Great food and great service. Very happy!
Côte - excellent value, high-quality French food (superb steaks; amazing tarte au citron). Service was slow. The restaurant was incredibly busy; so noisy/unrestful. Too popular!
Great breakfast brunch! However, we were disappointed that we were not able to order from the lunch menu - it was not clear lunch was not served till noon.
we had a meal on a busy Saturday evening, the meal was absolutely incredible and the service for such a busy evening was impeccable. Friendly staff simply could've not been more attentive and helpful.
Excellent meal and very good service. The restaurant was full which for an early lunch was surprising, the waiting staff kept on top of everything with a smile.
Have eaten here several times before and enjoyed the experience. On this occasion service was poor, with steaks not cooked to order and having to be returned and an incorrect bill at the end. All resolved amicably and will return to give them another chance!
Consistently good as usual. Staff, unfailingly pleasant & efficient. Quality of food up to usual high standard. Only "niggle" that the "special" dish of scallops was less than good value for money & the recommended wine highlighted on the menu was inexplicably unavailable.
Excellent food and service. Great menu choice and set lunch good value. Nice buzzy atmosphere and friendly staff. Wasn't rushed at all - great choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Very busy but excellent service. Food order correct and to a high standard. Downstairs seating not the best but as the place was stacked out there was no alternative available.
Restaurant very busy but staff coped with our order well. Food usual good standard. Our table very near to the door and queue quite intrusive.
The food was delicious and good value but service was rather slow. We were left sitting without drinks or water for a while, although I appreciate it was a very busy time - 5.45. The bill wasnt delivered very promptly either, luckily we werent in a hurry. Overall the restaurant was extremely noisy which can be difficult for older people, both service noise and general conversation. I'll try asking for a quiet table against the wall next time but may not make any difference.
Excellent value for money on the pre theatre set menu, good choice of dishes and pleasant staff. The position is ideal for dinner before going to the ENO
The fixed menu is excellent value. Food was lovely. Service was great. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. I am a great fan of the Cote Brasserie group and have eaten in several of their restaurants.
We enjoyed the food, and were well served. However we found the noise level in the restaurant very stressful. It was difficult to converse and feel relaxed.
Nice food though some of dishes could have been better, nice window seat, food criticism included underseasoned chicken, roast pork crackling was not crispy but soft so not nice to eat and was left which is a shame as that is the treat of ordering roast pork, also icecream in chocolate sauce dessert only came as single scoop which seemed stingy for £4.95 price so more sauce than ice cream! My creme brulee however was perfect and best one I've had to date. Service after our main courses were cleared was slow-we seemed to have been forgotten and had to ask twice for dessert menu and left lot later than planed with so much waiting around. Noone came to deal with bill and my friend didn't like to leave cash unattended but didn't want another long wait so had to go find someone to give it to. I had a nice evening there but some aspects could have been better.
Served very efficiently and quickly although the waiter was so busy he was almost turning away as he asked the question 'Is everything all right with your meal' "Yes, Sea Bass is very nice but the fennel could do with an extra couple of minutes on the grill......" Too late, he'd gone.
Restaurant was busy with pre theatre set meals, but did not give any attention to Ala Carle order. Steak was hard as rock....sigh! Warm beat salad was left at counter for 3 minutes before it was served to us although we sat next to the counter.
Very pleasant staff, food was good and served quick. Would use this restaurant again. Very busy I would advise to book a table, you won't be disappointed.
Excellent menu , good quality starters and main courses , Attentive and friendly staff , very good atmosphere , will definitely be returning on our next visit to London
