Cote Brasserie, Covent Garden is a great option for pre-theatre - lovely menu, excellent service which is both friendly and quick, and the price is right.
We had a very efficient waitress and the food was very good, just what we needed after an afternoon at the theatre, we were very relaxed in pleasant surroundings
Introduced four more friends to Cote and they agreed with us that the food was very good ,the staff excellent and they will certainly be returning.
Excellent and quick service. Good menu and generous portions. Only negative was the level of noise that made conversation impossible. Overall good value and would recommend.
Pre-Theatre Dinner ordered. Food arrived in good time and was well cooked and presented. Staff friendly and efficient. Price excellent value and all round good experience
Always very accommodating, able to jig the tables around at short notice to fit you in. Friendly, fast moving restaurant in the thick of it near all the theatres, so goes very quiet at 19:30.
Everything was OK. Not great, but not bad either. Staff were fine. Food was average but was in the right area for our show. Creme brulee was nice.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, but sadly our table was right at the back of the restaurant so we were forgotten about! Food was delicious, but little on the small side
Well up to its usual high standard as one of the best examples of a good value chain of restaurants. Food well presented and well cooked. Pre theatre menu remains really excellent value and service friendly and efficient, if sometimes a bit under pressure. Great place for theatre land eating
Very good menu choices, menu changes regularly, excellent value prix fixe pre theatre menu. Pleasant service, a bit under pressure at peak periods, but always with a smile. First choice for an evening out!
had the goats cheese salad and it was all lettuce with very little goats cheese and the roasted vegetables were flabby and tasteless , on this experience would be reluctant to visit Cote again.
Service and food were both great. The only thing stopping me from giving it a 6 is that the side of glazed carrots we ordered only arrived after we'd finished eating, which was a shame as the rest of the food was so good. We did get them on the house but it was disappointing they weren't ready with the rest of the food.
The meal was delicious and service prompt. We ordered the recommended wine of the month and enjoyed it very much. The only downside was that the waiter forgot to bring the bread until after the food had arrived. We no longer wanted it but it still appeared on the bill. We then had to wait while the cost was deducted. This is not the first time this has happened at different branches of Cote.
We had a lovely meal there last night, as always! The only disappointment was the offer of the Kir Royals which I hadn't realised I needed to book ahead of the meal I was celebrating my birthday with friends slightly ahead of the date as we will be abroad then. I did ask the waiter if we could still take advantage of the free glass each but he wasn't able to do that. :(
Enjoyed a nice pre theatre lunch with friends. All our food was very good and one of our party was gluten free. The restaurant was able to offer the complete menu gluten free which is unusual. A it noisy as it was full. Obviously popular and good value for money
thank you for a wonderful meal, great service and friendly staff. 8 people in the party all enjoyed their evening. I would highly recommend this resteraunt.
Group of 6 of us were made very welcome; friendly and helpful staff served good food and excellent wine. We had a great experience and will certainly return.
Good food, we had the early dining 3 course special menu. The staff were very friendly p, the service was excellent. We had 3 courses and a glass of wine. Good value fir money!
We had the pre theatre set menu which was excellent and very good value. The service was very efficient even though it was a Saturday evening and the restaurant was full.
First time at a Cote. Went for the pre theatre menu and were very pleased with choice, amount and quality. Excellent service as well. Pleased we had pre-booked as it was very busy - not surprisingly.
I'm impressed with Cote Brasserie. Their set menus are very good value for money and i must say the food and service is excellent. I've bought my team here for lunch twice and not been disappointed. Very good value for money.
I often book at this branch of Cote when going to theatre in the area. It is quite noisy, which is due to its being busy, no doubt. This time our member of staff was not very good and service was not up to the usual standard at this branch. Food was fine and in general good value for money.
Great location with attentive staff. Tables rather close together but we managed. Great value food. Bustling area of Leicester Square/Covent Garden and ideal for pre theatre meal.
Easy to book, wide ranging menu, good food, friendly and helpful service and a lovely atmosphere which was ideal just before our theatre trip in Shaftesbury Avenue.
My friend and I both thoroughly enjoyed our formule breakfast. I had the French one and the boudin noir was delicious. We both thought the scrambled eggs were particularly good. One teeny problem, the waiter did not tell like us he had brought jam and with everything on the table we didn't notice it until we had finished. My friend would very much have liked to put jam on her toast. Otherwise all good.
We had the pre-theatre menu. Up to its usual good standard, although risotto had too much pepper. Service is slower than it used to be. We guess each waiter has more tables to cover than previously.
Menu and food consistently good . This branch is busy pre theatre . Seats quite close to each other . Service was a little slow and not always easy to get their attention but staff pleasant . However it was peak time . Food very good and good value
We are regular users of Cote in other places but were meeting some overseas visitors in town at short notice and chose this one. Staff friendly, particularly for an inner city venue, service good and food as usual. Ambience different from other Cote's though, more 1970s English than French.
Visited this branch many times. Prompt friendly service over lunchtime. Good food and the set menu was good value. Need to book as it gets very busy.
We booked for an early sitting as we were due to carry on to the theatre, and chose from the set-price menu. The food was all delicious and arrived in good time, without being too rushed. There were occasions however when I thought that more staff were necessary. This is a very busy restaurant and the waiters were rushed off their feet. It was sometimes hard to attract their attention to order more drinks, or ask for the bill. Having said that, they were still very friendly and efficient, but it did mean that there were some delays beyond their control.
Good service. Five of us had a pre-theatre meal which was enjoyed by all. Particularly the crab and avocado starter - truly scrumptious! Really good value too.
It was a clean and bright restaurant. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The food was good ( ate from pre- theatre menu and met our needs at time.
Good food, good service, air conditioned- but we would have preferred to sit upstairs with the natural light. However we still had a great time!
Service efficient and friendly and food lovely. The only down side was being seated in the basement, which was windowless and lacked the atmosphere of the main restaurant area. The one waiter serving this section did a remarkable job, and his charismatic, cheerful manner, lifted the ambience.
Great buzz great food and excellent service considering how busy it was and when we were in a hurry to go to theatre ! Always good value too
I like Cote and the St Martins Lane branch in particular - very convenient for the theatres. Had pre-matinee lunch with friends. Service good though not easy to attract attention for the bill - this might have been an issue if we were pressed for time. We all had starters and mains - all starters good, two mains good but two of us had chicken, Roquefort and walnut salad - chicken minced and unappetising and we had one piece of cheese each! This dish might need a rethink.....unusual for Cote to get it wrong, and we will certainly return.
6.30pm reservation and restaurant was very busy with pre-theatre crowd. Staff were a little over run and inattentive. No spoons were provided for the side dishes we ordered. Tables were too close together. But the food was great.
Lovely food, good attentive staff, good value for money, although cote is a chain you don't get the usual 'chain restaurant' treatment or atmosphere. Would recommend.
The staff member who served us was great and kept her cool with a smile, under stressful and very not conditions. She was Efficient and friendly.
Excellent quality and great customer service and value for money, I will definately return to this restaurant, great central location by the theatres soho and Covent Garden
Went for pre-theatre menu. Was a bit worried about time. But they were very good and food was on the table quickly after ordering despite very busy. Food was nice and good value. Will go again.
Good food and efficient service for a very busy branch of Cote. Well situated for those visiting the theatres as several are no more than five minutes walk away. Would always recommend that you book in advance
Food was very nice staff helpful but at time distracted, problem was the air conditioning culd not cope and I would expect better in the west end of London
A reliable choice in central London, consistent in terms of value, service, and quality. The lunch/pre-theatre set menu is a particularly good value. Would gladly dine there again.
Good food and good value. Service is friendly A very good house white wine Best to book at busy times and ask for a table at the front as it is very noisy at the back Our favourite West end restaurant
Great welcome, speedy service, excellent food and good value. The pre-theatre menu is always a winner and presents a good variety of food at a great price. The staff at Cote are always attentive and friendly without being intrusive - love this restaurant
Food and service excellent as always. I have never had a bad meal here. If going on the weekend do make a booking it does get very busy.
Bustling restaurant, packed to the gills. Great value/choice on pretheatre menu. Speedy service, piping hot, tasty food. Only niggle: bill included charge for complimentary drinks
Our first visit to one of your chain of restaurants and we loved the experience. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and very polite. The food was superb, hot and delicious. We would recommend your restaurants to our friends.
The reception and service were very good. The menu choice was fine. Speed was right. The food served was very good. I should be happy to return and also to recommend the restuarant. However I must comment that the room was very noisy and if that number of diners is to be accommodated decently the low ceiling needs to be treated to absorb noise. One expects a happy buzz in a decent restaurant but one does not expect to have difficulty in hearing people at the same table because of the general noise level.
