We went there with a free wine offer and the staff knew straightaway about it. The food was excellent and service was good. Côte is always reliable, although I do wish they would offer something new in the desserts.
Friendly restaurant with good food. We all ordered different things, I was on the pre theatre cheaper menu and was very happy with egg bacon salad, coq au vin and sorbet (14.95) My friends all ordered from main menu and although we were told the mussels were finished we saw someone get them an hour later. Main courses all very good. The wine we wanted was unavailable later on but they were very busy and we were offered another slightly more expensive bottle.
Great food, staff brilliant...but why did the veggie breakfast come with one piece of toast and the Full English come with more...for the same price...
Great treat for French friends they loved it. Great service, food was excellent, lovely location close to many amenities and great for strolling around after a meal. Very enjoyable experience
Although we did arrive about 10 minutes late (the opera took longer than planned) we were not greeted with the usual camaraderie. Instead we were told "the kitchen closes in 20 minutes". We struggled to be given the After Theatre menu and we could have ordered 5 minutes earlier if someone had come to take our order. It seemed as if the staff could not wait to see us go even though we were not the last to leave. The food was fine - the usual standard - but the attitude of the staff disappointing. We are regular visitors to the St Martins Lane Cote and were expecting a more welcoming approach - the one we have had in the past.
Food quality has gone down in the last few years. Ordered from the theatre menu and nothing surprised us. Also the portions were small. Shame
We had excellent service from the friendly staff and, as always, the food was very good. The service is efficient. It is always worth visiting this restaurant.
great restaurant, close to theatre good atmosphere and good value. They do a good pre theatre menu as well as a la carte. Booking essential. Little more to say - a very good choice. ps. fab staff!
Excellent meal and attentive service - highly recommended - very busy and just made it to our 8 pm performance at Wyndhams . The Apple Crumble on the pre Theatre menu was fabulous . We shall return ..
As always, a high standard of food and service. The complimentary bottle of wine was also an extra bonus. We will be back without a doubt.
Lovely food - delicious wine very friendly service - just right for a before theatre dinner . We were only sorry we couldnt stay for dessert and coffee. Definately will next time . 10 out of 10 !
I have been to various branches of Cote many times during the past few years and it never fails to please, especially when one is eligible for a complimentary bottle of wine as part of your Rewards Scheme! A friend and I enjoyed that, together with a delicious meal, last week. We will be back!
Excellent customer service from all the staff who attended to us. Delicious Chicken and Walnut salad. My guest's fish cake was equally so. Please extend thanks to everyone involved.
Very acceptable food, good service. Two a la carte courses for two people plus two (!) bottles of wine was about £100. Tuna nicoise was excellent.
The restaurant and staff were up to their usual high standard but I had a complementary wine offer that was limited to a la carte which turned out to be poor value for money so did not take it up.
The calamari was delicious as usual. I had the sea bass which did not disappoint but my sister had the duck which was really lovely.
Love this restaurant. Great value, good food and always a buzz. Would recommend early bird menu after a matinee or before an evening show. Always our restaurant of choice.
Good food and service. Well looked after when we arrived and then service was great throughout. Would recommend at any time. Lamb was beautifully cooked.
reliable good cooking and reasonable value. Service always friendly and prompt. I go to many branches and there is consistency in them all so you are never disappointed
As usual at this time ( 6.15) the restaurant was full. My main meal of fish (sea bream) was cold and unappetizing. No complaints about the friendly and attentive service.
The pre-theatre menu was good value and mainly nice apart from the peach crumble. The atmosphere was a bit hectic however it was Saturday evening.
Food was tasty and service was good, good value for money. Sadly my main course, the grilled chicken, which was served at the same time as everyone else at the table - was cold. This was a shame as everything else was good.
Another enjoyable evening at Cote St. Martin"s Lane. Reliably good food, service and cost in a good location - ideal for dinner following a matinee.
Pre theatre meal was very good. Service quick and efficient. Good value. I was given a table at the front of the restaurant as requested. The only reason for 5 instead of 6: the meal could have been hotter.
Nice choice of food including vegetarian & gluten free choices. Kir Royale was à Nice addition. Staff were very attentive & friendly but when restaurant became less busy they forgot to return to take our dessert order. We ran out of time so went without dessert. Wine was very good. Overall very happy with our visit & would happily recommend.
The pre-theatre menu offers a wide selection of good food at a reasonable price. Quick and friendly service. Only be aware that, as the atmosphere is buzzing, it is noisy.
Good well priced menu and attentive staff. Service very quick despite restaurant being extremely busy. Food tasty and good range to chose from. Would recommend and use again
The pre-theatre menu is excellent value - food much better quality than you'd expect for a fixed price menu. Service was swift and friendly, and the atmosphere lively. Definitely going t be a regular early evening stop on our visits to London.
Arrived early, but table was ready. Efficient friendly service and the food was well cooked and tasty. Dishes as described on the menu. Overall good value.
Great, speedy service, which we needed to get to our 7pm show. Tks for the service and the good food! We will come here again.
Excellent food - as in all cote restaurants that we have visited. Service could have been a little better coordinated but that did not spoil our overall experience.
We had a good experience. Food was good and the fix price dinner was a great value. Our table was at the end of the room so there was lots of coming and going there.
We always enjoy our meals at Cote and have visited many. We would give a 6 as reward. Thank You. I enjoyed a Kir Royale for my birthday yesterday Tuesday.
Great food and wine , reasonably priced. Pre- Theatre menu particularly good value. Steak frite always good. Beetroot starter a bit tough and tart. Chocolate mousse divine.
Every time we visit a Cote restaurant we are impressed with the efficiency and team work of the staff. Friday was no exception. I booked my birthday dinner there and, using a Cote reward, we were given free kir royales which was great. The September special menu is superb: the mussels were delicious; the duck confit appropriately succulent. One choice was unavailable but the care with which the member of staff selected an alternative was excellent. We will continue to keep this as a regular venue.
This restaurant is busy, busy - excellent value food means popular and hence noisy. Pre-theatre it is not a lingering, slow dining type of place - it is quick service and food that you can't help notice how good it is, even when you are pre-occupied with catching up with your fellow diner or evaluating what you have just seen on the matinee stage.
Third time I have been to Cote in a week - efficient friendly staff, and flavoursome food at a very reasonable price in a buzzing atmosphere. Always going to be a good choice.
Everything was perfect. Service, ambiance and food were to our satisfaction. The location is perfect in a theater section on the city. A Placé to return.
Perfect place for a pre theatre dinner. The service is fast but friendly and they understand how to serve customers in a fashion that is prompt but doesn't feel rushed.
Cote restaurants are very consistent - good service, excellent rib-eye steak. Reasonable prices. Reward scheme - a free bottle of wine periodically. Numerous branches - all very good.
Up to the usual standard for Cote Brasserie - sensibly priced menus with well-cooked dishes. Attention to detail: few 'chain' restaurants provide linen napkins as does Cote. Staff are well-trained and attentive without being overbearing.
Very good food and outstanding service. It was my daughter's birthday and they took trouble to make her feel special. Very impressive and good value too. Highly recommended.
Lovely atmosphere and great staff. Food was excellent and we stayed far too late! We always love going to Côte either as a pre theatre venue or as this evening as an all evening place to stay.
OK , but for us too busy pre theatre time. Prefer our local Cote. Have to pick carefully, some chicken dishes better than others. Wine could be cheaper.
The food was excellent, the staff were very attentive and a nice atmosphere to eat in. Would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.
Outstanding value you and service. Great menus and prices. Can be a little loud at time but well worth a visit for a great meal.
A Very busy little restaurant, but there was great service. The ambience was lovely and the food was excellent. Will definitely visit again, Highly recommended.
Consistently good food, service attentive but not intrusive. Very good value for where it is and very handy for eating prior to going to the theatre
Very busy, lively restaurant. Food and service always good. Set menus excellent value for money. Good choice for a pre theatre meal. Would definitely recommend.
Super food, but spoilt because we had to wait over 30 minutes for our main course, and then had to rush as we were going to the theatre.
