Very attentive staff; great ambience and relaxed atmosphere. Good service. The duck was not piping hot and was slightly over seasoned but all the other food was delicious and beautifully presented.

Having visited several other branches for pre theatre, this visit was disappointing. Having been seated , and given menus we were just left, whilst staff passed by again and again. Having got some ones attention ,the iPad system resulted in staff looking down when taking your order so no hallo , no eye contact , just a robot going through the motions including trying to up sell bread and olives. This was the feel of the meal, impersonal and disinterest staff and food that was just so

The staff were v attentive & took excellent note of my allergies. Usual good standard of food on the pre-supper menu. Unfortunately 2 starters with walnuts!! Will of course go to Cotes again

The food was good. Our initial server was excellent in ensuring that my wife's dish was appropriate for her diet. After about an hour, the original server vanished and we struggled to get any attention from any other server.

We always enjoy the food at Cote. However, 3 of us went this week especially for the free wine deal, only 2 of us were drinkers, but they insisted that all 3 if us were on the 'a la carte' menu for the offer to work. So we did not take the deal. Disappointing.

Excellent service, excellent food - Cote B is really pretty good for a restaurant chain and tonight's pre-theatre meal at St Martin's Lane was no exception.

We had a voucher for a delicious bottle of wine, and were made very welcome with service very attentive and pleasant. The food was excellent, even though the restaurant was very busy with lunchtime diners. Very good experience.

I use this restaurant before the theatre regularly. This time the waiter has problems with the iPad and didn't seem to understand what we were asking for, we all has the same main course which was a chicken escallop which was dry and the food was not very warm. Our starters - mushroom soup and moules were delicious. There was also a small issue when it came to dividing the bill by 3 which did get sorted. But we will be back.

Water served was warm. Waitress said that's how they are so got ice. But second bottle of water served was cold so it is possible. White wine was also served at room temperature and had to be changed for cooler.

Bustling with the pre theatre crowd and a few famous faces Cote St Martins Lane always delights. Reliable French fayre and excellent gratis wine from Carcasonne (special offer before November 12th)

Placed opposite the kitchen in an area that was completely empty. Could/should have placed us at a nicer table. Front of house staff didn't pay sufficient attention to us. Salmon had a funny taste. Was offered the same again (I will ask my manager) but why would we want the same again? Too busy to offer sweets/coffee at the end. Love Cote at Bluewater where the staff are welcoming and friendly but I suppose the front of house staff at St Martin's Lane don't have to care/worry as they seem to be full to overflowing. V disappointing. Will not return to this Cote.

The main problem was that it was so noisy in there we could hardly hear ourselves speak. The service and food were as excpected and relatively good value.

Pretty efficient service, and good choice available from 2 or 3 course "set" menu, which was particularly good value at lunchtime (around £15 for 23 courses). Restaurant acoustics were poor, though, and it gets very noisy and sometimes difficult to hear - not helped by tables being very close together. Having said that, a very pleasant lunch.

Food was excellent as normal, but service was slow and not as on the mark as on previous occasions. There seemed to be plenty of staff so don't think this was the problem

Cote was very busy with pre-theatre diners. Pre-theatre menu was excellent £12.95 for 2 courses or £14.95 for 3 courses. I had a large bowl of mushroom soup followed by salmon & haddock fish cake with a poached egg on spinach which was delicious and ended with apple crumble with ice cream. All delicious and would recommend.

A good visit - Reception excellent as they remembered straightaway that I had booked and that I wanted a window table. Only setback is that the tables seating two persons are too close to the next table. Thought the set menu had excellent choices this month - looking forward to our next visit.

These guys are brilliant! I'd booked for the pre-theatre menu, months in advance, for my mum's birthday (pre going to the theatre!). The welcome was warm and they gave us a good table upstairs. Within a few moments of being shown our table, our charming waiter arrived with complimentary bubbles for the three of us for my mum's birthday. She was delighted! They were super busy, even at 5.30-6pm, but we didn't feel at all rushed (nor treated like cheapskates) dining from the pre-theatre set menu. Service was excellent and the food & wine very good value indeed. Cote have hit on a winner with their early set menu, but the true praise goes to the way that they treat diners: with professional care and warmth (this is consistent at every branch I have been too). Most of the staff we passed when leaving also wished us 'thank you, good bye' or 'thank you, have a nice evening'.

Cote Brasserie at Covent garden was great..lovely staff, and food excellent. We had the early theatre menu, and must say that ther was so much choice. The starters (Autmn salad and fishcake)..seriously yummy, and my steak was, as always, great. Though it is a fixed price there was no feeling of being a lower class customer! Timing and service excellent.

The restaurant was so noisy it was practically impossible to have a conversation and hear what my friend was saying. Our table was also near the entrance door so it was a bit like Piccadilly Circus!

Excellent food and service at very reasonable prices. The set menu in particular is exceptional value. The 'specials' imaginatively prepared and presented. The drawback is the level of background noise.

We had a lovely pre theatre lunch. My friends first time and she was very impressed. Both starters were delicious and the steak frites as good as ever with a lovely glass of presecco to start and merlot with main dish. All very speedily served by very friendly waitress. Will be back very soon.
