The food was excellent. The restaurant was not too busy when we first arrived but filled up quickly. Service was rather slow which prevented us ordering a dessert or coffee. We needed nearly 2 hours just for a main course. It was very noisy which made conversation difficult. We were seated at the end of the bar near the till which may have contributed to the noise as the waiters tend to stand there to deliver the meals to the tables.

Lovely food, good range of dishes. Service nice but not intrusive. Very nice atmosphere, ideal for a whole range of meals from tete a tete to group celebrations.

The pre-theatre dinner was very good and the service was excellent, however due to the attempt to pack the restaurant to maximise sales my chair was constantly kicked by staff and clients. I have eaten at Cote restaurants many times and like the atmosphere. Thank you, Pat

Superb restaurant, great ambience and friendly warm staff. Lovely food and great gluten free range. Central location and easily accessible via a number of routes. I am not a fan of chain restaurants but this chain has great food with flavour

Food is good and service friendly but one persisting problem is that the condiments are usually delivered very late to the table or you end up reminding waiting staff so a small thing that needs improvement as it’s irritating. Next time I’m not paying the service.

We had a great time. I had the duck which was lovely and cooked perfectly. But it was the waitress who really made the evening super. It was a bit noisy though, but what do you expect this time of year!

The food was lovely. The pre theatre menu is amazing value for money. The staff were also lovely but constantly asked if we were ready to order, they asked too frequently with not much time in between each asking even though I said I'd give them a wave when we were ready. This was the case before every course. Just a little thing but thought it worth mentioning

All went well nice table and attentive staff. Food arrived quickly and drinks.came as soon as they were requested with water. Would have liked wine and water to have been slightly colder, otherwise it was a good evening.

Lovely dinner before going to the the theatre. We didn't have much time for our meal but the service was so quick and efficient that we managed to have the three course pre-theatre menu which was delicious.

The St Martins Lane branch is not in Covent Garden, the Tavistock Street branch is the one in Covent Garden. Be sure to book the one you want! Food as good as ever, service a bit slow but it was v busy near Christmas.

As per usual , very good food . A friend ordered mussels to start and was presented with a plate of many empty shells . This was rectified immediately and the manager was very apologetic. Good customer service. I will say that many of cote establishments are very noisy especilly this one

Very enjoyable meal from the Christmas menu. It was very busy but service was good and we didn't have to wait long for initial drinks then the meal. It seemed essential to have booked a table.

Enjoyed our visit, only thing we would change was that the meal felt quite rushed and we poured our own wine as it was too busy to get the waiters attention.

The lunch menu is good value for money. A good choice is offered. The food is straightforward and good. Service is good. All good in fact. Well almost - the space is cramped and tables small; the room is noisy; a service charge is added to the bill; and my meal was served on a bit of wood, which bearing in mind that plates have evolved to do the task perfectly, is a mistake. But decent food at a fair price trumps all. I would be happy to return.

Great value pre-theatre dinner with very pleasant service. However, was asked if I wanted something to drink when I first arrived but it was over 10 minutes before the glass of wine arrived at the table. And the french mustard I requested to accompany my steak-frites NEVER arrived! (Hence only 5/6 - but still a great meal).

We eat here often. Service is always wonderful, and food usually very nice and excellent value with the pre theatre menu. Only a 4 this time as my Pork main was 33% fat. I pointed this out to the waitress and got an apology, but no compensation which was disappointing. I will return however

We went for a pre theatre meal at Cote and all four of us enjoyed the experience. The food was very good, great value 3 course set menu £14.95. We also received 4 complimentary Kir Royale's as I am registered with Cote and it was a birthday treat. Ambience was great, continuously busy, Manager on the desk and the staff were very efficient and friendly. Our friends had never been to any Cote before but after their time spent here they both agreed they would definitely try another. Thank you Cote..St Martin's Lane.

Generally very good, food tasty and prices reasonable. Service a bit hit miss especially when the waiting staff change shift halfway through your meal. Also, why so many different menus? We had no less than 5 different ones, gets very confusing.

We booked for a table of 8 of us to have lunch today, and although the restaurant was very busy, we had brilliant service from all the staff : ) Food was served hot and tasted delicious. Only drawbacks were that we had to pre-order (didn't realise this when we first booked) and that the vegetarian options on the Christmas menu were so limited - so some of us arranged to pre-order from the vegetarian menu instead. Great crackers with some useable novelties inside and vouchers for a free bottle of wine in January!
