The table was ready as soon as we got there and in spite of it being really busy the service was great and food delicious.
Lovely food and excellent service, the tables are a little close together, which made you feel like your were joining the people next to you and this was the only thing that stopped a perfect 6.
Although the restaurant was very busy we experienced excellent food, friendly service and overall we thought we had good value for money. We will return
A fantastic evening with nice food, wine and service. Though we ordered 2 bottle of wine for our party, but had to remind about one of them. We would like to visit again
We usually go to Cote after theatre or opera - great that it is open later and love the informality and the roasted chicken and sides (creamed spinach, glazed carrots). Service can slow down when it's late as the staff prepares to close, but other than having to flag someone down here and there, we always enjoy Cote.
Good choice of food, good service. Was a good pre theatre choice. Nice buzzy atmosphere. Food came very promptly. Will be back soon& will be eating in another Cote Brasserie tomorrow.
Excellent service, portions a bit small of the set menu, but overall good value for money and a nice treat for small celebration. Would recommend.
The food was a bit under par for some of our party (mine - crab mayonnaise and then goat's cheese salad, was fine). But one of our party had haddock, which was overcooked and dry. My husband's starter (Eggs Benedict) was cold. The staff were very friendly and helpful though, especially after I explained about slow service on a previous occasion and told them this was a special birthday celebration and we had a theatre deadline. They were kind enough to offer - unprompted - a dessert on the house for the (80th!) birthday boy and would have sung Happy Birthday for him. But sadly we had to leave for the theatre performance so had to forego that. But it was donated to 2 of our party who were not joining us at the theatre. So, top marks for service, less good for the eating experience.
Cote is always fantastic value for money but you need to choose carefully off the set menu - the blood orange and fennel salad was poor, and the chicken and dauphinoise underwhelming. As ever, the creme caramel was delicious. Great service and atmosphere. A meal that was somewhat hit and miss !
Welcoming ,attentive and expedient service , great classic dishes and superb wine collection. Reasonable and fair price. Basement not as good as Ground Floor re Ambiance .Would recommend to all
we enjoyed a very pleasant pre-theatre lunch. Great menu with lots of choice, delicious food and although the restaurant was very busy, the service was excellent for anyone with limited time. Highly recommended!
We always enjoy when we visit this restaurant in the middle of the Theatre area. Lovely food, attentive staff and reasonable prices. We will be back.
Great table, good food, super waitress (Silvia)! The food was excellent and the waitress very attentive although one soft drink took 20 minutes to be served by a different waitress.
Very good, with friendly and efficient service, despite being very busy indeed. Overall, food good, though an unfortunate steak which resulted in a deduction from the bill. Would definitely return.
A wide choice of good food at reasonable prices and great service from the staff which gave us plenty of time to get to the theatre.
We enjoyed our meal yesterday very much. It was a special birthday occasion and the birthday girl was given a chocolate pot on the house. The risotto was delicious, one of the best I have tasted. The eggs benedict was luke warm, but tasty. The venison was dry and the cabbage not as good as last week. The mussels were fine, but small. We will come again, just for the risotto and pork belly, which sadly wasn't on yesterdays menu. Sheila Kroath.
Excellent customer service, tasty food, well presented and good wines. Our waiter looked after us very well and was very attentive and efficient. I asked for a glass of wine mid meal and it was served very quickly so that I could enjoy it with my main course. Highly recommend this place our 3rd visit whilst in London over two years still excellent. Well done to all Thank you x
I was excited to celebrate Valentine’s day in central London, we looked at the menu and it sounded great ,so booked a table for 9pm at your St. Martins Lane restaurant, as, but unfortunately had a terrible experience. We constantly couldn’t gain the attention of our waitress, service was extremely slow, and the person serving us changed four times. When we wished to order anything “extra”, we had look up for the staff, and call them over as there was a severe lack of care and attention for our table. When we asked why the service was lacking, one waitress reasoned that it was because the first girl whom was serving us had now finished her shift, clearly unprofessional, a lack of “handover “ between the team, and poor management. Our deserts also seemed to take a while with no communication as to why this was, nor apology until I complained.
Standard Cote. Food - good produce, well cooked and averagely served. The noise level was horrendous for someone like me who has to have hearing aids.
1 of my poached eggs was hard & the Bloody Mary was very unexciting. Overall on a very busy Saturday it was good food & good service.
Excellent as always. Great Menu Perfect Food. Considerate Service. Everything to our satisfaction. Will continue to book meals at this group of restaurants wherever we can find them
Great ambience. Excellent service good teamwork everyone doing their bit to keep it running smoothly. Didn’t feel rushed. Excellent food and great value for money.
Excellent service throughout - from reception to leaving. Food very good and overall experience enjoyable. The place was full and buzzing but we did not feel rushed. Tables are a little close but not to the point of spoiling the meal. Would definitely return in the future.
A very good meal with excellent service from willing and smiling staff. The mussels and Chicken were very tasty. The wine flowed and we left very content. We will be back!!
Lovely staff, very accommodating. and the quality of the food remains high - very good value. However, the menu is becoming a bit limiting for those who do not eat pork (my partner) or meat in general (me) Have a look and think about how many items have bacon/ham/other pork added. Both February fish options (which I would normally opt for) had bacon included.
All Staff were very helpful. Food tasty. We went for a post theatre dinner and they couldn’t have been more willing to please and courteous .
Had a lovely time. The manageress was warm and friendly on arrival and we were quickly taken to our seats. Immediately waiting staff were on hand but equally not pushy. We had the delicious French onion soup and various mains. All well cooked and piping hot! Thanks for a relaxed late lunch
Excellent value for money, great service and v good food. Difficult to beat. The staff are extremely courteous. Quality is consistent at all the Cotes I’ve experienced so far.
We were attending a concert at nearby St. Martin-in-the-Fields and our waitress was very conscious of our schedule. The food is tasty and a good value. My wife is gluten intolerant and the restaurant had no problem accommodating her dietary restrictions. It is our "go to" place for St. Martin pre-concert dining.
Really buzzing Cote. Great food and service as usual. Blood orange salad was delicious as was the chicken. Never had a bad meal in Cote
Nice food. Great service. Visited with the missus and wasn't disappointed. Had a set menu with pairing wine. A really good deal. Will return soon.
We found very helpful staff, food usual quality and timely service. General friendly approach from all staff who were welcoming even at a busy time.
Excellent service, good food and lovely waitress. Food was served promptly which was ideal as we were off to a matinee at nearby theatre. Very happy.
Great evening - the valentine’s menu was good value and the staff were extremely friendly. Overall we had a lovely time so thanks to Côte!
Excellent meal. Good choice, especially in lunch and theatre menu. Attentive waitress and prompt service. Tables very close together, almost on top of each other.
Our server Sylvia and the managers handled a problem with our food extremely well. We felt that they cared and wanted us to feel valued.
The food & service were excellent, and even when it got very busy the atmosphere still nice and the staff attentive. Special diet catered for.
Good food, good atmosphere, good service, decent price. Would recommend it. Good food, good atmosphere, good service, decent price. Would recommend it. And yet again.
Good location, pleasant surrounding, good choice of meals on the pre theatre menu. Quick service just what is required to start the evening with style and panache
We come here quite often and are very rarely disappointed. The food is usually of good quality and the people who work here very friendly. Would recommend
Restaurant was busy as pre theatre was just finishing. Service was slow and although my food was good my wife had a fillet steak which was not the best. Cote are good for most dishes but are not a steak restaurant. The menu does not have a large selection of dishes. Will go again but will stick to the dishes I know are good.
Our Fish was excellent. Beans slightly tired. Service excellent although it was very busy at 6pm. The staff are always very helpful and if you tell them you are going to the theatre will make a great effort to get you out on time.
Service good. Food again poor. Steak frites ordered steak tough and gristly.Monkfish very over cooked. Second time at two different branches in a week food not up to scratch
We ordered from the Set Menu which is fantastic value at £14.95 for three courses. It was my girlfriend’s birthday and the staff provided complimentary glasses of pink champagne and a free dessert for the birthday girl - this put a classy touch on an evening filled with great food and drink.
Four of us went for pre-theatre meal. As usual Cote did not disappoint. They managed to provide the vegetarian risotto without cheese to satisfy a vegan in the group. I still love the creme caramel!
I have used a number of Cote restaurants and they vary in quality of food and service quite considerably. This visit was not one of the better ones. All the staff were very friendly and obviously trying hard but the service quality was chaotic: olives delivered after the starters, drinks too and the wrong drinks. We were eating mid afternoon (4pm) between two shows and opted for the pre theatre fixed price menu. However I think we were given food that had been standing around. The cod was almost inedible and the potato puree with the coq au vin gelatinous at best. I won't be going again. Sorry Cote. You need to do better.
Good service, food was very good, always like the fish dishes from Cote, my wife had the chicken escalope which was also good, wine list caters for all tastes and pockets, great for pre theatre.
We had pleasant and attentive service from the staff and good food. The atmosphere was cheerful and there was sufficient room between each table so the dining experience was comfortable.
The service was unusualy slow and not very good. Were they short of staff I wonder? Otherwisde the food was as always uo to standard. So not such a good day sadly!
Food good but service could have been better and we were in a bit of a draft. Waiter didn’t clear the table properly and we had to call him over to get some coffee. Also he didn’t tell me the fish stew cane with bread when I ordered chips.
