Côte - St Martin's Lane

I got food poisoning from the steak tartare. Everyone else really enjoyed their food. I had cod goujons for my main they were ok. Staff weren’t bad, on top of it all.

Handy for the London Coliseum., this is a busy restaurant, but the staff are lovely and service good. Food well cooked and tasty, and good value.

Pleasant atmosphere, staff and drinks. Unfortunately the food wasn't good. One starter was practically inedible (which we did get taken off our bill) and the mains were just ok.

Excellent price- value ratio and objectively delicious. Great service, slightly long waiting times for the food but Cote does not disappoint. Would go again - and again.

Met with friends for lunch. Good food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff and good ambience. Enjoyable experience for all of us - and will go back.

Very enjoyable. For a chain Côte, in my experience, serve consistently good food and the Pre-Theatre menu is a bargain. The staff were friendly and attentive and I would certainly return to the St. Martins Lane branch.

Great dinner- best of the Cote restaurants we have tried. Better than Sloane Square. Soup could have been hotter. Very quick and efficient service by Alejandro.

We choose from the set pre-theatre menu. There was a good choice. Very happy with the quality of the food and very good service.would recommend.

The food was, as ever, very good. However it was extremely busy and we had to remind our waiter when they brought the food, that they had not yet brought us our wine and water!

Early evening meal before theatre visit, stated what time we needed to be out and, although the restaurant was very busy, staff were very friendly, we didn't wait too long for each course. Food was good, what we've become used to from various branches of Cote. Only drawback it took a little while to pay.

We arrived early, half an hour before our pre-booked time and staff were happy to accommodate us, taking us to a cosy table in the heart of the restaurant. The meal was well up to standard and service throughout was excellent, despite the brasserie filling rapidly to capacity. Many thanks.

We ate at 6pm, the restaurant's busiest time when many people are dining before going to the theatre. Despite this, we were seated quickly, a waiter was with us almost immediately and food appeared in good time and was of the consistently high quality that we have come to expect of Cote. An awful lot of work must go on behind the scenes to be able to serve so many people in such a short time and at such a high standard. Well done Cote.

Really, really excellent. Good food, keen prices esp. set menu but A' la carte also v. good. Friendly helpful staff giving speedy, professional service. Great atmosphere and as above at the several Cote restaurants I have visited.

We were brought a glass of bubbly each -hadn't been asked if we wanted any so thought they were complimentary due to a short wait for our table. Nice touch. Only to find out too late they had been added to our bill. Would have been a 6 rating if it hadn't been for such an underhand manner.

Staff very efficient, food very tasty, especially the vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce. Food and drinks served quickly without feeling rushed - we had a date with Kinky Boots after our meal.

The team here works very hard to make sure that everyone enjoys their experience. They had their work cut out today; I think everyone apart from us was heading off to the Coliseum for the matinee. We enjoyed our lunch thank you and the customer service was excellent. Maybe at some point the toilets should be refurbished and the number of cubicles available for women increased.

The restaurant was really busy with the pre-theatre crowd but we received quick, pleasant service and very good meals....fish stew, sirloin steak and lamb shank. Good value for drinks and starter, main and pudding.

The restaurant staff were once again pleasant and efficient . The organisation was very smooth and we enjoyed our visit prior to our evening at the theatre.

The Food was lovely but the experience itself was fairly average. The restaurant feels quite impersonal and the service was a little slow and inattentive.

This restaurant is very good value for money.The staff are very pleasant and most helpful even when it is almost full to capacity. It is also in a great location for proximity to theatres.

We asked the waitress for extra bread as we were sharing a pate starter. This she brought and for this she charged. When the main courses came she brought a big basket of unexpected and unwanted bread because "it comes with the main course." This was not explained when we asked for the extra bread for the starter. Thinking outside the box is always a good idea for a waitress. However, she did upsell me a pudding by explaining that if I had my steak from the set meal menu I could get a pud for minimal cost. That was helpful.

Its a standard chain restaurant and does what it sets out to do. The pre-theatre menu is good value, service was good and friendly and the food was good.

Service excellent. Food good but not exceptional. Venison Parmentier (venison shepherds pie)was mostly mashed potato. We did tell the waiter who shrugged his shoulders and quickly moved to another table.

Excellent food & wine as usual, very slightly marred by lack of waitress manners reaching across our table more than once without an 'excuse me' to remove empty glass) may sound churlish but interrupted conversation with a jolt).

Excellent for meeting up with friends to celebrate a birthday. Not rushed and had plenty time to catch-up since our last meal before Christmas. Treated to a glass of bubbles each and my friend a birthday dessert!

Food and service excellent but unfortunately we could hardly hear each other without shouting as we were too close to the next table. Otherwise all good.

As always this popular restaurant was very busy. My companion and I were pleased when the waitress found us a table upstairs to avoid the steep staircase. We are both in our late eighties. A good meal and reasonably priced. The noise level meant that quiet conversation was difficult. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Why do we keep returning to this restaurant? Because the food and service are such good value for money. The set menu changes monthly, so we nevre get bored as there is always something new to choose.

Booked a table for four at lunchtime. Lunch menu was good, as was service and ambiance. Much appreciated by our guests. Would not hesitate to return.

Nice restaurant but rather noisy. Overall a good lunch and we were not hurried which was good. Second visit to this restaurant and will probably visit again.

When ever I come to the Cote in St.Martins Lane I am never dissapointed. The staff are exceptional and the food is always excellent with plenty of choice and some interesting dishes. Very good value for money

Excellent service. We arrived early and were accommodated with a warm welcome. An excellent menu offering a good choice of starters, mains and desserts. Visit as I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Efficient as ever, with courteous, unobtrusive service. All four of us had different dishes, all from the lunch-time set menu; we were all very pleased with the quality. Wine reasonably priced, overall for a quick, competitively-priced lunch, excellent.

Another good meal at Cote - very busy at the time of our arrival but it was no problem to the staff. Having already booked we were shown to our seats and a waitress took our order without any delays.

Very good service in pleasant surroundings with excellent food at reasonable prices. Couldn’t be a better restaurant in a great location for a lot of the theatres.

Pleasant meal and friendly, fast service which was just what was wanted as pre-theatre. Food was quite good from the 3 courses for £14.95 menu.

The table was ready as soon as we got there and in spite of it being really busy the service was great and food delicious.

Lovely food and excellent service, the tables are a little close together, which made you feel like your were joining the people next to you and this was the only thing that stopped a perfect 6.

Although the restaurant was very busy we experienced excellent food, friendly service and overall we thought we had good value for money. We will return

A fantastic evening with nice food, wine and service. Though we ordered 2 bottle of wine for our party, but had to remind about one of them. We would like to visit again
