As always, I can find no fault with the food at Cote - it is well prepared, not interfered with by the addition of unnecessary spice and sauces as usual in most restaurants. You can taste the ingredients, whether they are the strait-forward steak frites (my usual choice) or an apple crumble. The wines never disappoint. We visit Cote where ever we can find one - London, Bath, Cardiff, Shrewsbury.

The restaurant was very busy, but we were given a nice table and looked after well by our server. my favorite duck confit had sold out which was very disappointing, and the roast duck didn't quite the mark. But the complimentary kir royale made up for it.

I really like the place and the food is really good but do think it is a little pricey and once is a while the service is not always on point. But generally it is normally very good

Excellent service and very hard working staff. The restaurant was really busy with pre-theatre diners but all staff were calm and efficient. Set menu was good value although had to pay for bread to go with the mussels starter.

Another excellent venue for Cote. We are gradually working our way through the group and so far have enjoyed each one for food atmosphere and value.

We had a really good experience. One of our group was a celiac and they have a terrific gluten free menu. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

Staff were very helpful but food not wonderful (my partner's looked better than mine). Roquefort starter had probably been made a lot earlier and had wilted watercress on it. My crepes had little taste and the cheese topping was like a carpet not very appetising. My partner's salmon and ratatouille looked much better. House white was typically house wine, nothing special.

Good service, good food. Personally not a fan of restaurants that impose a “voluntary” service charge. The whole visit is the service. Restaurants should pay their staff a living wage to start with. Comment not restricted to Cotes

Great Space; great service; great food; excellent wine list. What’s not to like. Staff friendly and attentive- top tier. Really positive to have a quality restaurant in the outskirts of Covent Garden where mist are chains and very ordinary- definitely a ‘return to’ venue

Everything most efficient with friendly greeting and service Our food was delicious and the elements of each dish arrived at the same time. Only slight downside was the piped music which was intrusive.

We booked a table for 6pm. Our waitress (blonde hair and French) was just amazing. )We were sat on the LHS just after the stairs down to the toilets). The food was great, very busy in the restaurant - but the service was brilliant - no waiting for the food. All incredibly well organised. A lot of other restaurants could do well to copy Cote

What went wrong? The food was as expected, with a good selection of dishes. However, the service tonight was not. The Kir Royales arrived after the first course was served. The soup was cold when I had asked for it hot. Whilst we were eating our first course, a waitress tried to serve us main courses; even though they were for another table. Not the normal experience that we are used to.

The restaurant had tables so close to each other that you feel that your neighbours can hear everything you say. Also the waiters seem to be very harassed, and it is not a relaxing experience.

Cote food is consistently well prepared and good value . This branch is always busy , especially pre theatre. It is sited In the heart of theatreland . If you book in for a pre theatre meal you will get amazing value and good food but do expect the place to be packed full . That does put a bit of pressure on the staff and service times but the staff are always friendly and charming and they Do get everyone out in time . It can just be difficult to catch them when it’s time to pay the bill- only because so many people are looking to do the same thing at the same time. One of the best chains in London for good food and value prices . Excellent large gluten free menu and great set menu offers . Hard to beat really -just know that this branch is going to be packed from 1730-1945 - but it’s easy to see why.

Good service considering the amounts of people in the restaurant. Dessert Apple tart very disappointing, slightly stale pastry that had been warmed up and definitely not worth in price paid.

We enjoyed our meal and were impressed by the wide choice available on the fixed price menu, which was excellent value.. We had booked early, before going to the theatre, and the restaurant was really busy. It is clearly a very popular venue, with good reason. The tables are close together; a little more space between them would be good, particularly as the number of people in the restaurant and the close proximity of neighbouring diners made for a noisy atmosphere.

Food was good, but service was a bit slow. It was ridiculously busy with pre-theater customers, the waiting staff were rushed off their feet and didn't have time to be attentive. Management should consider bringing on more staff for busy periods like this.
