Five of us visited for a pre theatre lunch. Delicious food. We all had different main courses and we were all pleased with what we had chosen. The service was friendly and efficient and the bill not too frightening. Thank you Cote!

Food was great, our first waitress was brilliant. Change of shift, no idea which one was our waitress & had to ask for the bill 3 times! Simple stuff, they would have got a 5 otherwise!

First class service ,not hurried .Food and drink not over priced and very good value for money. Staff very helpful .It is always a good idea to book if going to the theatre to make sure you get a table as very busy at that time of day.

All really good: charming and efficient service, very good pre-theatre meal at a most reasonable price - Cote St Martins Lane is a reliable place to eat and never disappoints.

The service was very quick, the prices are reasonable. It's absolutely perfect for a pre-theater dinner. If I had a complaint it would only be that the door was kept open.

Good ambience, friendly staff, service a little rushed, would always opt for main dining area not basement which is where the toilets are situated, very warm in basement

The restaurant was busy so service was a bit slow, but the food and wine was the usual good standard. The bill was wrong, not in our favour and not the first this has happen in this branch, so pays to check this.

Quick lunch to catch up with an old friend. Pretty standard brasserie menu, but I knew that, and it was fine. Lunch special good value. Strtaer of Frisée aux lardons small (but perfectly formed) and the poached egg was just right, so had been done to order not kept hanging around. Steak billed as 'pink' and it was . Service mostly attentive (Had to ask twice for mustard). WIne list ok for both range and price (at the bottom end). It was quite busy thus somewhat noisy and the tables are quite close. Maybe not the venue for a quiet lunch or a business conversation. Or you just pick a better time.

We had actually booked a table for later in the day but had to make changes to our plans. The staff rearranged everything perfectly and we had a lovely meal - the lunch time menu was excellent - I had langoustine tails followed by sea bass and the other diner had pea and mint soup then chicken provencal. We had chocolate mousse & apple crumble as dessert plus a very nice bottle of wine - the whole meal was great.

The food, was very good, however the time it took from ordering to getting our first course was nearly 30 minutes and another delay in getting our deserts. This was recognised by the excellent and apologetic staff by us receiving an additional, free glass of wine and a £30 discount.

Pleasant service, pleasant environment and good food. We were served a glass of sparkling wine from a bottle that had been open too long and which had lost a lot of fizz but it was replaced cheerfully.

Had a very nice lunch from a friend visiting from Canada. The food was good but the service was on the slow side. It was also incredibly noisy--good to have buzz, but we had a hard time hearing each other.

We had crab mayonnaise and endive and Roquefort for starters. Both were excellent. My partner reported that her sea bass and fennel were cooked perfectly. My spinach and cheese crepes had been left warming and were quite dry when I received them and the sauce had mostly evaporated, which is a shame as otherwise it was a great experience

Everything was good apart from service. Waited for half an hour to order food and then another 40 minutes to wait for food (4 breakfast dishes). Nevertheless, they have compensated with a small discount.

A very reliable restaurant with a varied menu - the "pre-theatre" menu is good, though may not appeal all the time. This time we went a la carte and had a lovely meal - a treat for Mother's Day. Service is usually very good, attentive without being over-powering. We use Cote a lot and would certainly recommend this to others.

Booked for 12 noon. Service was slow. First waitress wasn"t aware we could have lunch from 12 o'clock. Orderef bread with my starter which didn't arrive. Asked another staff member for it and it still didn't come. Then asked Duty Manageress and eventually it arrived. Was advised there would be no charge for the bread. When given the bill my starter was credited as it had cooled down when the bread came. My husband's duck was tough and difficult to cut. Disappointed as we've eaten here on a number of occasions and our experience has always been good.

Returned here for lunch after very successful early evening meal a few weeks before. Arrived at 12 noon (had booked in advance). Restaurant not too busy. Ordered promptly. 40 minutes later we were still waiting for our food. It arrived a couple of minutes later but the fries were missing and didn't appear until I again spoke to the waiter - very slow in arriving and had obviously not registered with the original order. The people on the table next to us arrived after us and were served their food before us. Desserts arrived more promptly. Service very disappointing compared to the first time.

Extraordinarily good value, delicious pre theatre dinner. The place was really buzzing, but the service was great, the staff were really cheerful, the food came promptly, and as ever was totally reliable. Could not fault it in any way. Definitely best pre theatre dinner in town. First visit to this Cote, but will definitely be back.

Food excellent and comparatively-price. Prompt and courteous service and efficient until the ordering of post-meal drinks when I ordered a lemongrass and ginger infusion and a coffee and we waited ten minutes of more before being told that they had no lemongrass and ginger. We skipped drinks and paid the bill. Otherwise, as ever, a good dining experience. I would add that I am disabled and the staff were very helpful in accommodating my wheelchair and helping me and my carer in and out of the restaurant.

Table ready on arrival. Efficient non-intrusive service. Food was of the usual expected standard. The fish was particularly well cooked. The only gripe the first choice bottle of wine (Muscadet) was unavailable.
