We asked to be moved from the table next to the bar it was noisy why do bartenders like to throw empty bottle into bins??

Pleasant service. Very reasonable cost for pre-theatre two course dinner, but the actual food we had was largely disappointing. Convenient- but maybe overall still a negative experience.

Chaotic, too long before we could order and waitress was having trouble with new IPad ordering system. Service disorganised and slow. Not up to usual standard. Some of the food was cold. We had trouble getting the bill, which was a problem as we were going to the theatre. Disappointing overall.

Very enjoyable meal and excellent service. Marvellous value for Central London. Will definitely return. Wine by the glass is ideal at lunchtime, and both house wines were satisfactory.

As always a total pleasure to visit Cote. We had booked for a pre-theatre dinner as wer off to the ENO and the place was teeming. So very glad we booked. All the staff were lovely and even the diners seemed friendly. Great service and we were out in plenty of time. Great value too. Thank you

Very efficient service and good food. What we usually expect and get from Cote. Twenty five words too many to think about, so that’s it!

Everything was fine apart for the fact that, if you order the soup, you have to pay extra for bread. In my view, bread should come with soup as a matter of course. It's a small quibble I know but even my companions commented on it.

Staff were overstretched. We didn't get great service. Had it not taken so long to be served we would have stayed for coffee and desert.

We arrived at a busy time due to it being just before the evening shows at the local theatres, however we were quickly seated at a lovely seat in front of the window. The food was excellent and the service was very good as always. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The food is very good and the set menu very good value. Service is good and a complimentary Kir Royale was a bonus. The only problem is that the restaurant is noisy but I was given a quiet table at the back which worked fine.

I ordered grilled sea bass and Ratatouille plus boiled new potatoes. The fish was a bit flabby and tasted slightly rubbery. The Ratatouille absolutely delicious and seemed freshly made. I explained to the waitress I didn't like the fish, (it was fresh just not good). She offered to change it but I decided I'd just go with a plate of Ratatouille and the potatoes. They dealt with the problem very well and in a friendly manner. The new plate of Ratatouille arrived with Rockette on the side. The manager came to see everything was then ok. She told me that they wouldn't be charging me for the lunch at all. The restaurant was clean and had a good atmosphere. They accommodated my diet issues as well and the food was served without any dairy products as requested.

Very busy restaurant. However service was reasonable and the food was good. Felt tables a bit too close together but typical for central London location. Good value on the set menu.

I was introduced to Cote about 4-5 years ago and have eaten here ever since-usually when I’m in Central London. I love the menu choice and price. The atmosphere-whether you have breakfast, lunch or dinner there is always alive and buzzing with happy people. I usually dine alone there but I have taken a friend with me here and there. You won’t feel alone if by yourself. The staff are warm, friendly, polite and cannot do enough for you. If you fancy ordering from a set menu whether it’s a pre-theatre meal or because you’re indecisive with choice, then you’ll love this restaurant. I love their cod coujons, their French Fries and chocolate fondant. No matter what you order, if you dine at Cote, save space for desert. I look forward to visiting Central London that little bit more as I get to eat at Cote. I would highly recommend the restaurant. Shame I can’t post pics of my food. It was delicious as always.

The restaurant was busy with pre-theatre diners when we arrived but we were soon shown to our table. Service was a little slow to start but improved as the meal progressed. We opted for the set menu which offers great value. Our food was delicious although the portion of langoustine tails for one of our starters was pretty meagre. We opted for a very reasonably-priced bottle of Fleurie, a favourite red wine of ours and it was perfect. Our waitress looked after us very well and we enjoyed the evening.

Haddock was excellent. Soup good. Apple crumble OK without being special, Service was generally good but fell away a little at the end. If you must add service charge it should be 10% not 12 1/2%. Does the money all go to the staff?

The food was good, as usual. The service was a little different in that there seemed to be a number of collisions between staff and a fair few things dropped. It was unusually chaotic.

I appreciate this is Theatre Land with rapid turnover and no reliance on repeat custom. This was worlds away, in a negative sense, from my local Cote in Teddington. While the service was acceptable , the food was less than average. Main - hot -dishes had clearly been left to sit for some time. They were tepid, bordering on cold, and a poor reflection of Cote’s normal standards. The restaurant was manic with pre-theatre diners so don’t go expecting the normal Cote experience. If you’re a Cote regular, avoid! You will be disappointed.

Excellent value and good quality food as always. One thing could be improved. Why is espresso coffee served in a Duralex glass? This is not an Italian tradition, or French as far as I know and when served very hot, as it should be, there's no handle to pick it up! Please can we have proper espresso cups?

Very good with friendly staff. However, we did have a wait for the bill as did other tables. Servers delivered food to tables but did not look round to see if other diners needed anything before heading back to the kitchen or their stations. Also thought £3.25 for plain green beans was a bit strong even if they were perfectly cooked.
