Despite the restaurant being busy with pre theatre diners, the staff were welcoming and efficient. We ordered from the lunch/theatre menu ,very satisfactory and served quickly.
Very loud - staff included. Minute steak not as per usual Cote standards, tough and full of marbles. The fries also arrived cold in the smallest portion I have ever seen.
Great evening and food, service was good despite being very busy. Waiter was attentive and checked in that we were happy with food and checked if we needed anything else regularly
Friendly efficient service. Very nice food for a set menu. Good choice for set menu. Comfortable attractive surroundings. Would definitely come to this restaurant again.
Usual high quality experience. Very good service at a busy time (pre-theatre evening session). The only reason I scored 5 rather than 6 was the main course I had - veal escalope which I thought wasn't very well seasoned.... this of course is a matter of personal preference. Cote remains my favourite "chain" restaurant.
Food and service were fine. They do mass pre-theatre catering very well. Main problem is lack of a ground floor accessible toilet. There are steep steps to the lavatories totally unsuitable for anyone disabled. Not ok!
Busy restaurant pre-opera but friendly service and excellent menu. Delicious sea bream combined with perfect peas purée. Iced berries make for the perfect ending to the meal.
Have been to this Côte several times. It’s well located for popping in after wandering around Covent Garden. Enjoyed the food as ever and service was quick and efficient.
very nice staff. the ambience and food is nice and relaxed but the service is the real mus. swift and welcoming. I will come back
Booking, reception, welcome and customer service - all excellent. One of our meals - the boeuf bourgignonne - was not quite hot enough and this was disappointing. We didn’t query it as this was a pre-theatre trip and we were in a hurry; but it spoilt the meal a bit.
Noisy but lively Saturday lunchtime before all the matinees nearby. Good food, fast service. My companion's lamb chops were cooked to perfection and the creme caramel as yummy as ever
The usual good food but were let down by the service and cold food and a lack of communication.Menu is first rate but they need to ensure when they are busy tthat the service does not drop off.
Good food as usual and service was excellent and very friendly. Was enjoying ourselves so much almost late for the show we had booked. Very good.
The service was excellent .The waiters and the waitresses were very friendly and very attentive The menu was very good. The food was excellent and cooked beautifully
Very busy restaurant in the heart of Soho but the service was quick and attentive. The food was very good as usually is at Cote.
Good food and great service at this branch. They offer a wide choice of breakfast foods at a reasonable price. Will definitely return here soon.
Good choice for pre-theatre supper. Tasty and interesting food, friendly and efficient service. Very convenient for the Coliseum and many theatres. Would definitely go again.
Excellent food and generally good service despite the restaurant being very full for lunch. Good ratio quality - price. Couteous and smiling staff. We had to wait a bit for pur plain water to be served.
E x c e l l e n t and r e l a x e d, as usual. We often eat there and look forward to it.
Always reliably good, excellent staff and good food with great value. Our first table was near the door and draughty but we were moved on requesting
It was very busy at six pm ... pre theatres and opera house ... but service was good, no delays, and food was delicious as always.
Very Nice food. Restaurant was very busy ( pre theatre menu). Staff forgot to bring the side order! Tables are a bit too close together.
Brisk, professional, friendly service. Excellent value pre-theatre menu. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. A lovely ambience too, in the restaurant. It's Cote every time for me, for pre/post theatre dining!
Firstly want to say this no way concerning the staff they are excellent.Restaurant too noisy, too many tables packed together ,toilets downstairs .Had creamed spinach which was not cooked and salmon fish cakes full of potatoes hardly any fish.Have been to more suburban Cotes and always had a great experience .Probably as it is such a busy position and pre theatre crowd this made a difference on a quieter day would have had a better experience.
Brilliant waiter from Romania. Food tasty and very well presented. All good. Relaxing atmosphere. Excellent service. Will certainly visit again. Cote are a very good choice.
Côte St Martins Lane is my favourite regular resort. Staff are friendly and efficient and quick to rectify the occasional rare mistake. I always feel welcome there as do friends who join me.
My husband and I had the pretheatre meal which I think is very good value for a west end restaurant. We enjoyed our food and the service was very good; we finished eating in plenty of time to go on to the theatre. The only thing I dislike about all the Cotes I have visited so far is having so many tables crammed in makes it very noisy. Not the place to go for an intimate dinner for 2. But I guess this is how they can keep prices down.
Set menu was great. We were pleasantly surprised there was one on Easter Sunday. Prices were reasonable and food was presented really well. The service wasn’t great though. The restaurant wasn’t full but the service staff took ages to take our order and clear away after we’d finished courses.
Food was superb. Service excellent too AND i was given a small cake to celebrate my birthday !!!! Brilliant all round. Definitely will come back and recommend to all
Friendly waitress ...prompt service ..very good food ...excellent value for money ..buzzy atmosphere...what's not to like about Cote..? Please consider opening in Eastbourne ..I promise you so many Cote fans here you would do.so.well Nothing.compares !!
Service friendly and helpful even though the restaurant was very busy. Had the set lunchtime menu so quantity and quality of food good especially for the price. Always choose Cote restaurants because the lunchtime menu is the best within that price category.
Table booked and although very busy it was available. Staff all very efficient and pleasant . Service very good, we were going to the Coliseum and were served with time to spare. A very good experience.
Very busy restaurant so we were catered for by several different waiting staff. This led to drinks taking a long time to appear. Staff were friendly and worked very hard. Food was delicious as always at Cote and the 2course menu good value for a quick pre theatre meal.
Another great steak frites at Cote. Chinian wine was perfect. They forgot my son's main course on time but deducted the price from the bill.
Cote Brasserie is extremely reliable, providing good food at reasonable prices. Three of us ate well for £27 each including bottle of wine. I enjoyed Cote's special smoked salmon and steak & frites.
We have had very good experiences at Cote in Brighton, Tunbridge Wells, Oxford Circus and now St Martins Lane. We like the menu and both the food and the service are very good. On each occasion we have chosen from the pre-theatre 2-3 course set menu which has suited us well. One day when we have more time we will take the time to explore the a la carte menu more fully as there are plenty of other interesting options to explore.
Very efficient and good food. Would go back there again for a pre-theatre meal. Very busy but everyone seemed to know what they were doing.
Love Cote and go there a lot but service was a bit slow today even though the restaurant wasn’t that busy and I didn’t enjoy my starter
Very lovely. Attentive staff and excellent food. We were grateful to the lovely waitress who let us sample different wines, so we knew which one suited us best.
True it was Easter Sunday but no excuse for such poor service. Very slow service and my steak came cold! Did not send it back because wanted to avoid another long delay Been there several times when it was much more busy and service has always been very good Shame about yesterday. Will I return? Will see!!
Excellent restaurant with very good pre and post theatre dinners at very reasonable prices. Good service and well located for West End theatres. Thoroughly recommend!
Went to Cote Brasserie for breakfast on Easter Sunday morning. Service is very good, the food came quickly and was delicious. Good value in a nice setting.
Great breakfast but staff, although very polite, seemed to be making a lot of mistakes and many customers seemed to wait for a long time to be served or place their orders
Quality of food consistent and service friendly and efficient. Used two London Cotes in one day because of their reliability in delivering a good experience.
Lovely food and good service. The restaurant was busy, but we were served quickly and our food came promptly. As always, the set menu was excellent value and we all enjoyed our lunch very much
As usual, reliable and varied menu and good selection of wines. Service can vary when they are very busy, but one of the best value restaurants in London.
Have used cote Brasserie before as a convenient meeting place for lunch with friends. Good selection on the menu and the fixed price lunch menu is very good value, great service too.
Great staff and value for money. Food not too bad, tasty and filling. What more can you want for £15. Yum yum yum yum 😋
Booked a table in advance so disappointed that we were seated in the exceptionally busy and cramped upstairs area (having to move a neighbouring table In order to sit down) rather than the more relaxed and spacious downstairs area. 3 course set menu was excellent value for money. Was exceptionally busy (as expected), staff were efficient but engaged. Main menu food was disappointing as portions small. Fillet steak was beautifully cooked but it was not 7oz. Frites portions were child menu size. Tasty wine. If this was my first Cote experience, I would not return. But, it was in the middle of theatre land and they are not aiming for repeat business. That said, when next having dinner before a show, we will not be going to Cote.
Always a pleasurable experience and the food and service are consistently good. Great atmosphere, lovely space, very central. And even my French friends loved it.
