One of the best restaurants I have ever visited and taste was authentic.
Excellent as usual. A hot Bank Holiday Saturday and the staff and the kitchen coped with it all without fuss. we will be back in about 10 days.
Great atmosphere excellent service and food would definitely recommend for a pre theatre meal. Great atmosphere excellent service and food would definitely recommend for a pre theatre meal.
On a very busy evening post-theatre visit we were served promptly and very efficiently by very pleasant staff. We were very pleased to enjoy our first asparagus of the season and the whole meal was excellent. It is essential to book!
Excellent service. Very good new set menu, in addition to the present set menu. Great ambience. Celebrating my birthday with three friends before a theatre matinee. Thank you for the complimentary Kir Royales. Also the rendition of Happy Birthday sung beautifully by the friendly waiters. Very pleasant lunch.
Perfect choice for pre theatre my daughter and I booked for 4.30pm giving ourselves plenty of time and we had great food and service but as we left approx 6.45pm it was so busy I don’t know how they cope with the demand and stay smiling!! Well done all!!
Excellent value and plenty of choice on the pre theatre menu. Remember to book ahead as it gets very busy, even on a Wednesday evening!
Went to lunch yesterday and had an excellent meal as always. Delicious Rose on a sunny day, was a perfect addition to a perfect lunch with friends.
Very good service and food - consistent. I've eaten here several times in the last couple of years, and Cote seems to be the only chain that is keeping up standards.
We were attending a Matinee @ the Ambassadors Theatre So booked a table for two as I know from experience this branch of cote gets extremely busy. Upon arrival we received a warm and friendly welcome and were shown to our table. Our waiter was excellent, and brought the complementary filtered water to our table as always was most welcome. Once again Cote have with this months set menu, and have now added a premium set menu for a little extra cost. There are so many delicious dishes it is very difficult to make a choice. The food was beautifully presented, and served immediately after cooking. The food, and service were excellent, however this branch of cote is very busy and gets extremely noisy so it is not a branch for a relaxed quiet meal.
Quite a few items on the menu were not available. A couple of the dishes we ordered from the set menu were very disappointing. The plates were small with a lack of ingredients which had been mentioned on the menu.
Service good and prompt, the staff were friendly even though they were obviously rushed. My wife said her Fish Parmentier was delicious. My rib eye steak as somewhat disappointing - rather tough. Overall though, an enjoyable experience. I would go again but the steak had better be tender next time!
Restaurant was packed (6.30 pm) and staff were struggling to cope and seemed slightly frenetic. We had booked but had to wait over 10 mins for our table and it was a further 15 mins before our order was taken. On the plus side we were given a complementary kir because of this and the food was fine when it finally arrived.
We had a lovely lunch and a chance to meet up with old friends. Great atmosphere and service and fabulous value for money. Would definitely recommend and will return next time I'm in London!
We chose the Prestige set menu and had a delicious meal. The service was good and the ambience buzzing. It was so conveniently near the London Coliseum.
Good food reasonable prices. Perhaps a bit too noisy making conversation difficult at times. Service very attentive. Creme caramel is consistently excellent. Like the complimentary water
Great food as usual but the service was disappointing - they started to take our order and their iPad stopped working so they went to get another one but then went for to serve other tables and didn't come back to us for another 10 mins. My partner's steak was brought out without the sauce and the waitress didn't even notice. She then walked off with our credit card at the end. Not good given that service is automatically added on. We are usually generous tippers but in this instance I begrudged automatically paying 12.5% when the service had been poor.
Speedy service, which was important as we were heading on to the cinema afterwards, attentive staff and good food.inexpensively priced - all round enjoyable experience!
very attentive staff to begin with. Order taken promptly. Food very good. However, our experience was marred by the fact that we were ignored once dessert had been served. Not asked if we wanted any coffee, no waitress in attendance at our table/section. Asked another member of staff for the bill - after 7minutes still not received the bill. asked the waitress again for the bill but after a further 5 minutes still not received the bill. Although when i first asked for the bill we had left sufficient time to get to our next appointment, time was now running out. I got up from the table and asked another member of staff for the bill. The waitress I had previously asked was informed we were in a hurry and did bring the bill but then left to serve other customers before i could pay. I went to the bar area and paid the bill. Previously always enjoyed dining at Cote.
We had a top quality meal at a reasonable price. The restaurant was very crowded, but the staff coped without any problem and there was no undue wait for any course.
Although 15 minutes early we were shown to our table promptly. However food was not same quality as Cote Chelmsford. Waitress was very efficient and pleasant. However due to food quality being comparatively down we were a little disappointed.
Initially we were placed at a table next to a customer with a nasty body odour issue, and had to insist on being moved. Everything about our first two courses was fine. However, we had to wait over twenty minutes for our desserts to arrive, and we only received them then because we had alerted the waiting staff to the fact that they were long overdue. Something had clearly gone wrong with the system in the kitchen.
Resturant was not reasy with a booked table after being sates 15 mins befow being asked if we wishes to order wine took anorher 10mins starters 10 and mains 20mins and an extra portion of chips never arrived . Not used to this standard from cCote
Excellent value and a choice of pre theatre menu.... good quality consistent food. Service a little chaotic but we had lots of time so didn’t give us any problems
Excellent meal, lovely wines, attentive service and experience, thank you! Good value for money in the heart of London's theatreland. Highly recommended, we shall be back
Excellent service, great food, exceptional value. Eight of us had dinner and all enjoyed our choices. Good value wine. My friends and I eat here regularly and it is always good.
The food and service were good and I actually got a free main because one of the waitresses said the fries arrived late. I was completely happy with the timing of the food arriving and hadn't complained or even particularly noticed.
Brilliant never had a problem here with a pre show meal..service good too wine and coffee .Just a shame not one in home town .....
excellent as usual we celebrated two birthdays just love Cote at St Martins Lane looking forward to our next visit hopefully sometime in August to celebrate three birthdays this time
The staff was very polite and understanding of my dietary needs. They have assisted promptly and checked upon me regularly to ensure that I was enjoying my stay. The food selection for coeliac (gluten free) was large and took me by a surprise. It was very tasty and the price for the meal was appropriate. I would recommend highly to people with coeliac dietary needs. There is something for everyone. Will visit again when I am in town.
Great service at a busy restaurant. Pre theatre meal is always excellent value at cote. No other restaurant compares for value for money and choice.
Prompt friendly courteous as ever. An oasis of reliability in each of three branches we have used to date, even when we arrived a little early this time.
The set lunch is a great offering with good selections and ample portions. The staff is very helpful, trying hard to understand and accommodate special needs.
As usual we had friendly service, and good value. The restaurant is idealy placed for pre. and post theatre dining. The restaurant layout and décor lends itself to friendly dining.
Great food and excellent, attentive, friendly service after show at London Coliseum. Cote in St Martin's Lane provides a terrific atmosphere and the perfect end to an evening at the theatre.
A very pleasant place!.. Always recommend to my friends. Good prices, good service and excellent choice of food and vines. My next visit - definitely Côte🖐
Great food and goo service. Would recommend visiting this branch.
Usual high standard. Excellent choice including gluten free menu. Cheerful service despite being very busy. Tasty and we'll presented food. Good coffee. Very good value.
Good food and service. Pleasant atmosphere. Excellent location near main theatres and Covent Garden. Competitive pricing, not too expensive. Obviously popular as packed so glad that we booked!
We had a lovely evening and the food was delicious at a fair price. Service was fast and friendly. Our only suggestion is to pay attention to the temperature of the wine glasses (they were still hot fresh from washing) and the wine itself. That first sip felt like tea, but then we asked for an ice bucket to chill the wine and it was promptly brought to us by our server. We'll definitely be back. Thank you!
Sadly probably my least favourite experience in Cote, wanted the fish cakes but told I had to order from the set menu and pay for a dessert I didn't want, also had a voucher for a complimentary bottle of wine but told I could only have if ordered from main menu. I use Cote at least three - four times a month go to Wardour Street, Windsor and Richmond regularly but won't go back to St Martin's Lane again. Sorry to be so negative but I feel let down by my experience today.
Great evening good food and service, but a bit noisy. Friendly and efficient waitress who was French. Maitre’d seated us efficiently. Nice bottle of Sauvignon blanc and Steak Frites from the set menu.
The standard of food at Côte is invariably good, and the Veal Escalope, in particular, was excellent. They are slightly the victims of their own success as the restaurant felt very crowded and noisy, but the service was very good.
Stunning value I have not found better in London. The food was budget price but of the higher quality. The service was great as well.
Good food, v nice waitress, great atmosphere in v busy restaurant, service fairly slow but it didn’t actually bother us, as we were out to chat as well as eat
Lovely and the steak was cooked perfectly. I couldn’t of asked for better staff as they was very helpful and kind. The restaurant it’s self was beautiful and was a lovely experience as always. Thank you
Excellent set lunch menu. Generous sized steak. Could have done with a salad garnish. Very good whitebait to start and nice house red wine. Service was very prompt.
Excellent as always. Good Food, Great Service, Reasonably priced. What else can I add? I just don't need 25 words. Why do I have to Waffle on?
A very good lunch with a friend - good choice on the lunch menu for £12.95. We did not feel at all rushed and the meal arrived very quickly.
Having asked for a quiet table as I am rather deaf, we were given one at the back which was good although the noise level in this Cote is very high. The food as always was very good value and delicious. We felt sorry for our waiter who was exceptionally busy but still very courteous.
