Food was good, service very friendly and efficient. Only minor drawback is that the restaurant was fairly noisy, so not too easy to hear our own conversation. However, this can only mean that the venue is a popular one and, perhaps, that our ears are getting old!

The atmosphere was very 'buzzy', the staff were very friendly, and they made slight adjustments to the menu to meet our dietary requirements. The ffod was excellent, too!

Had booked a table for pre-theatre lunch. The restaurant was busy but the service was efficient and attentive, the food delicious and hot, and despite the obvious demand for tables we didn’t feel rushed or under pressure to leave before we were ready. Fab location, fab restaurant, only SLIGHT downside is that he ladies toilets were a little shabby and could do with an upgrade!

Very welcoming staff, and good service e. R My only complaint is that I prefer to add service charge myself, and not have 12%added to the bill automatically. However, it was a lovely evening.

A great dinner. Had been to a show, so needed a relaxed evening as well as a good meal - we got both! The waiters were excellent, and the food delicious - we'll be back!!

Staff very friendly, but part of our meal (side dishes) turned up a good 10 mins after the main meal. This got taken off our bill which was good! Overall good experience but could have been better.

The food was as good and wonderful as ever. The only downfall this evening was the 50 minute wait for the food to arrive.I was told the fish stew which I love had been over cooked and it had to be prepared again. The staff were very apologetic.

We visited Cote St Martin's Lane on 14 May 18. The food and service were excellent and I would recommend this as an ideal pre-theatre dinner venue.

Good food and service but very noisy. Convenient for most theatres. Wine price is also reasonable. I will continue to use it for before theatre dinner

Excellent service, really good food from the set menu and a good wine. My companion was delayed so I checked to see if this would be a problem and the restaurant could not have been more accommodating.

The food when it arrived was nicely cooked and presented. However I didn’t get what I ordered. Either the waiter wasn’t listening or the kitchen messed up. I never got my mushroom sauce at all which they tried charging me for, no water tilll I asked for it and it was promised and a tip was added if 12.5% with not so good service . They were very busy and it was noisy.

Very noisy and very loud location. We felt uncomfortable there. The food was nice and the lady who served us was very kind. But because of the volume there I don't think we will be back there the next time we visit the UK.

Delicious meal before going the theatre. We had the Delfont Mackintosh offer which gave us a complementary kir royale. The restaurant was busy with the pretheatre menu but we got served with plenty of time and we even had time for coffee and desert

Our table wasn't ready for the time booked but we were given a complimentary drink whilst we waited a few minutes. Once our order was taken, service improved and we enjoyed our evening. The two fixed price menus available before 7:00 pm offer excellent value and, overall, the food was tasty and enjoyable although my steak was under-cooked and somewhat tough to chew. We opted for a bottle of Cote du Rhone which was very fine. As usual, we enjoyed our meal and will return.

Good service but rather plain and mediocre food. Busy atmosphere although slightly too noisy for our group which included two Dutch visitors. Do try harder with the food and you’ll be a choice option.

The restaurant offered great food at good value for money and has always produced crisp service in a casual humming atmosphere. It has become our go-to casual dinner venue for after theater.

Good service and food. Went after the theatre, 9.15pm. Although, not a lot of customers at this time, it was quite noisy, probably due to the hard surfaces and the barista hitting metal against metal. We were seated close to the steps leading downstairs and away from the barista. May have been quieter by the window. While it is good to be left once you've finished, as with other restaurants it was quite a challenge to get someone's attention to ask for the the bill.

This visit was a rare failure at the ususally reliable Cote chain. Whilst I was 5 mins late in arriving due to traffic, I was immediately shown to my booked table. Unfortunately this was right by the door and spent most of my time feeling like people were standing on top of me. I ordered from the set menu and my pissaldiere camembert arrived swiftly and this was slightly disappointing in that it was overcooked and the edges hard. However, I was hungry so ate it fairly quickly. Then I waited for my steak frites (although they'd kindly agreed to substitute a salad for frites). And waited. And waited.... By the time Id been there 55 minutes,Id had my starter and that was all. A minute steak & a salad takes 5 minutes to prepare. I was down to 20 minutes in which to eat the remainder of the meal before I had to leave for the theatre. When the streak finally arrived (just after Id spoken to the manager) it was virtually mooing. Bill and creme caramel ordered simultaneously to save time. Only redeeming feature of meal was a generous discount to reflect the 30 min wait between starter and main. I know this is an extremely busy branch especially for pre-theatre meals but Ive never had a wait like that at a Cote before and I dont think I'd visit this branch again. The reason it gets a 3 and not a 2 was for the manager's attempts to make things right.

The food was up to the usual high standard except that my wife had to ask for her lukewarm soup to be replaced with hot soup. Service, though as friendly as always, wasn't as attentive and prompt as we'd have liked, though we were not in a rush so it didn't matter too much. The level of noise was very high; and the tables are so close together that if the people at an adjacent table have loud voices, as happened to us today, the atmosphere becomes unpleasant.

The restaurant was very busy, so we were glad to have booked. Both food and service were excellent: we ate from the lunchtime/pre-theatre fixed price menu which gives very good value for money. I recommend this restaurant.

Good food, good service as usual. The service by the waitress was friendly and she also honoured my birthday gift ie free glasses of Kir without any problem. The menu is good value for money and I can see why it is always good to book a table in advance.

A wonderful way to spend an afternoon. I always enjoy my regular visit to Cote in St Martin's Lane. The food is delicious, well presented and tasty. Staff are always friendly and attentive and go out of their way to make sure everything is well. We particularly enjoyed our visit last week as the waitress was very understanding as we wanted to spend time chatting and she did not hurry us along with our order. This suited us very well. I should add that the restaurant was nearly empty at the time as the majority left to visit the theatre.

Great restaurant in the centre of town. Always great value and excellent food. Can be very busy pre theatre and very noisy around that time. The set menu available until 7pm is worth checking out. Breakfast at Côte is also worthy of a mention and exceptional value.

Good menu, good food, not too expensive, not rushed to get out, one of the best "chain" restaurants around. The waiters were very friendly and the service was good.
