A good visit. Extremely busy with staff under a lot of pressure, but they performed well and did all the right things. It was very noisy at the back of the room but that's down to the low ceilings. If you go, make a reservation - they were constantly turning people away betwen 6 and 7.30pm.

Great service as always. Interesting and varied set menu with plenty of choice (though sad that this was the second visit to Cote this month that the Venison Cottage Pie wasn't available for a 5.45 table booking - perhaps they need to produce more of them as they seem to be so popular).

This branch of Cote did not deliver the best experience, arriving at 6pm it was busy and not entirely on top of things. However without asking after a few hiccups we enjoyed our pre theatre supper and the gesture of discounting our drinks was a good one. So overall we had a good time.

Great service. Lovely food. It was my mums 78th birthday and staff brought free bubbly then a cake with a candle. A really fab pre theatre dinner. Thanks Cote

Booked for 4 if us . Mediocre food only 3 starters out of 6 available . Hardly any goats cheese on the starter and pushy staff trying to sell extras. Very noisy restaurant

Lovely restaurant, busy, vibrant, well located, and the staff were very helpful. Would thoroughly recommend, but BOOK FIRST!! Asked, and got table in the window.

We have had the pleasure of eating with you previously and it was outstanding. On this occasion not so much! the service as always was excellent, the attention to the customer superb, the quality of the food was good but the temperature was cool. For my steak that was acceptable as it was rare but for veal it was not.The coolness of the mains was accentuated by cold, nay freezing plates which is absolutely unacceptable. The sides were also delivered in cold dishes so that my wife carrots and french bean were cold halfway through the meal. My wife is always reticent to complain therefore I was not aware of the situation prior ro paying for the meal. As previously stated the food was excellent and the ambience of the restaurant calming and enjoyable but cold plated is totally unacceptable as the table next to us were warned of handling hot plates. I would appreciate your thoughts on this situation

Food was good quality and the service very good, especially as they were so busy with customers wanting a meal before the theatre. The staff were all working very hard and were friendly. Only downside, tables were very close.

Saturday pre theatre must be your busiest time. Our waiter tried very hard but was so rushed he 3 times brought things we did not order, olives, bread and a desert. all taken off the bill but illustrated the rush, I am British so not speaking with a foreign accent. Food as good as ever which is why I keep returning to Cote.

Food good but slow - we ordered at six but main courses weren’t brought out until just after 7.0p. Restaurant noisy making conversation difficult. Introducing some soft furnishings wouldn’t absorb some of this.

Had booked a table a week prior to visit, found restaurant to be very busy and crowded. We were found a good table after 5 minutes. Attentive and courteous service, food was delivered reasonably quickly and was delicious.

Small starter- moules don’t come like that! Expected a bigger bowl of them. Although sauce was nice. Crepes for main course were stodgy. Overpriced prestige menu.

Food and service as good as expected. "Muzack" was too loud, especially as the restaurant filled up, but it was turned down on request by me and my guest, and others nearby.

We had a very pleasant meal. Lovely air conditioning was most welcome. All the staff we met were helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. We weren’t hurried even though we were eating at the peak pre theatre time.

We are regular users of Cote...when in town we usually use Tavistock St...this time with friends we had not seen for many years we went to St Martins Lane. On a very hot day it was cool and comfortable, the food was very good and the service from our delightful waitress was great. A very happy lunch!

As ever, Lovely food. Charming and efficient waiter. But very noisy inside: could barely hear ourselves talking! Manager was rude and unhelpful about a delay in accepting payment. It’s thestreland: how could she possibly be surprised, and complain she was caught out, by the fact that, shortly before curtain-up, “everyone is leaving at once”? Duh. Appreciated it was very busy but she delayed us whilst faffing around with neither explanation nor apology, and did not make a good impression ... an apology would have been a more appropriate response than looking defiant.

You can always depend on Cotes being the same really high standard! Waiters attentive know what they are doing to make you feel as if your the only one eating in their restaurants. Took my daughter who had never eaten before in a Cotes, she is converted! Thank you!

Where, in London, can you get a three course French meal for under 15 pounds? Cote of course. A most enjoyable unhurried lunch! Delicious asparagas starter!

As usual the restaurant was very busy, even at 5.30pm, so the noise level increased to an almost unacceptable degree. But then that is the price of success. The staff were, as always, surprisingly even-tempered even though they were working flat out. The turnover is amazingly fast, so I hate to think what life in the kitchen is like! The set-menu was well up to scratch and we enjoyed the Charcuterie platter and the Sardines for starters, followed by the Steak and frites and the Piquant chicken, all very good. Desserts were the Frozen berries and one of the very best Crème caramels I have ever tasted - soft, creamy and with a strong toffee flavour, which is a novelty because this dish can often be quite tasteless. Full points all round and we will of course go back despite the noise levels. Interesting observation: a curious woman at the next table who rushed in, gave her order, then changed it, went and made a phone call and did a runner as the wine was about to be served. Stood up or what? We may never know.

Terrible service. Mains didn’t even arrive. We had to bail. Staff didn’t seem to care. 10 minutes after making our enquiries we were still left waiting for someone to come back to us, even after talking to a manager. Sent an email of complaint and still haven’t had an answer.

Although mostly good, I would advise you to check your bill! We had 1 bottle of wine but 2 were on the bill. When queried it was immediately removed along with the cost of bread and olives as a goodwill gesture. This isn't the first time this has happened here. The food was mostly very good, though my OH's omelette was a bit more overcooked than he prefers but I guess they are being careful with eggs! Puddings were fab, as ever.

Sadly not as good as previously. Waited 45mins for mains and one did not arrive. Further 20minute wait. Also error on bill. Staff were very apologetic and gave discount but would rather have food arrive on time and together.

As always, a freat meal, well served in a busy environment that still manages to feel friendly. As it is very conveniently located within walking distance of 4 or 5 West End Theatres, it does get VERY busy between the end of the matinee performances and the start of the evening shows, so it is well worth booking in advance. The set meals offer very good value and with the new "Prestige Set Menu", the choice has expanded dramatically.

We went for lunch and had the pre theatre menu at Cote St Martin's Lane before going to the theatre. The service was good, we were served promptly and we all enjoyed our food. We used again the Delfont Mackintosh offer and got complimentary kir royales. If you book theatre tickets with a Delfont Mackintosh theatre don't forget to use this great offer!

We had the lovely pre theatre menu at Cote St Martin's Lane before watching a play. The service was just ok, our waitress was quite abrupt and borderline rude, but we were served promptly and the food was very good. We used the Delft Mackintosh offer and got complimentary kir royales which was a very nice treat

Warm welcome from the Manager Inigo. Our waitress was Sylvia who was very pleasant , friendly and attentive. Our meal was very well presented, delicious and value for money . Inigo, many thanks for the special treat and for making my Father’s Day surprise a Special one. Will be seeing you again in August, when we celebrate our wedding Anniversary. I highly recommend this restaurant. By the way, our American friends were very impressed by their meals when we dined on 27th May 2018. We certainly hope our next visit will be as unique too.
