Welcoming and efficient staff. Although the restaurant was very busy the food came quickly and was good. The convenient position of this Cote made it ideal for a pre-theatre meal.
Great menu, service and ambiance as we’ve become to expect from cote. Covent Garden was no exception. Seated quickly and flavoursome well cooked food delivered with a smile.
This is an excellent restaurant in a great location. The service was brilliant- our waiters were Lucia and another young man who had only started two days before. They were attentive, friendly, helpful and very professional. We had the pre-theatre menu, which was delicious and extremely good value.
We enjoyed a celebratory bottle of rose, we ordered bacon and egg salad X2 and whitebait, then piping hot drives and steak!. Oh and another glass of wine (there were 3 of us) wonderful lunch
Visited last night before going to 'The Tina Story'. Good value as usual and very pleasant staff. Just though the loos needed attention. Should I have said something?
The setting is, of course, wonderful. The welcome was good, the table just right and the food excellent. It is always a great pleasure to be in this branch of Côte.
We were having a pre-theatre meal but chose one course from the a la carte rather than more courses from the set menu due to the lack of time. We both ordered pork belly and were disappointed. The top was very tough to cut through and I had to request a steak knife which still had a job cutting through it. We were welcomed and shown to our table well and the service, bearing in mind it was one course, was fine until we wanted to pay the bill and the waitress seemed to ignore the fact that we had a credit card down and wanted to pay and went to take payment from anyone else apart from us! We had to leave to go to the theatre so I had to call another waitress and insist that they allowed us to pay straightaway. Food and payment issues were disappointing but general service and restaurant were fine. Not a patch on your Sloane Square branch though which is always excellent!
Very good atmosphere, with lovely friendly attentive staff. Food was excellent as usual and good value for money. The new pudding special was particularly lovely.
IT WAS ENJOYABLE BUT VERY NOISY & EXPENSIVE FOR A GLASS OF WINE. FOOD TASTY & GOOD VALUE. STAFF HELPFUL & QUICK. WOULD VISIT AGAIN PROBABLY.
Everything was really good and very quickly. Good choice, great taste and pleasant service. Many thanks!.. This is one of my favourite restaurants in this area...
Cote is consistently reliable and 19.95 set menu v good value. The calamari was slightly over- cooked but this is my only cmplaint . Service also v good .
excellent service and expertly prepare meal at very reasonable prices and very nice ambiance. Overall a very satisfying visit. Will certainly visit again very soon
Lovely meal at Côte Covent Garden - St Martin's Lane before watching the wonderful play Red at the Whyndham's theatre. We had the three course meal using the Delftont Mackintosh offer and we got complimentary kir royals! Nice and efficient service too
Nice pre theatre meal at Côte Covent Garden - St Martin's Lane. We had the three course meal from the set menu. Lovely and fast service so we had time for coffee after the meal
A really great birthday celebration with tasty food and speedy service before the theatre. Recommend to all wanting a proper restaurant experience at a good price.
Excellent customer service -perfect pre-theatre dining -good value menu and very tasty food -Friendly greeting from front of house staff and waiting staff -Would definitely recommend.
We enjoyed our visit. The staff were friendly, attentive and efficient, in particular Olivia and Sophie. Wish they'd bring back smoked salmon and confit of duck to the menu. This is a well-run 8restaurant with buzz and staff who seem to enjoy their work. I'd recommend it.
Service fast and slick . The choice of meals good and quality always excellent . Perfect for early dinner before the near by theatres .
Good atmosphere, good food, good service, good value! Cote can always be relied on for all of the above. The pre-theatre meals with multi choices are excellent value and the a la Carte menu has even more delicious choices.
The staff we’re as usual lovely and very helpful. The food was delicious and served promptly. I would recommend this cote as a good option for lunch.
Friendly restaurant with fantastic food and staff. Very good value for London. Would certainly recommend going to eat there. Handy for theatres for evening or matinee performances.
Charming service, as usual. We only wanted a snack which was readily provided. The kir royales are a favourite at Cote Brasseries, as they are reviving, delicious and incredibly well priced.
Another great meal at Cote. Incredible value set menu with assiduous service. Can be a bit noisy during pre-theatre slot but that’s just a good sign of how popular this chain is!
Table was ready within 1 minute of reserved time. My belly of pork was to die for and my friend's salmon was praiseworthy. Our starters were delicious and the wine was noteworthy. Two courses, coffee and two 250ml of wine each worked out all in at c£30 a head. We left at 7.20 for the start of the show at 7.30. I always go to Cote as I know that the food will be excellent and affordable and that I will be in the theatre on time.
Very popular. Must book. Excellent value for money. Very friendly attentive staff Although you can feel a little rushed during busy times. Clearly staff encouraged to push through customers to maximise table use. Otherwise, near perfect.
Great value set menu meal given price, available choice and quality of food. Staff friendly and polite. Great place for a pre theatre meal. Would definitely recommend.
Due to a train delay we were a little late, so I phoned through and everything was fine. We have all been to various Cote restauarnts before and chose this one because we like it and it was convenient. Service and food were up to the standard we expected.
My favourite chain for pre theatre meals as service always good and super efficient.Food quality good and reasonable value for money, only wish they had a better beer option.
Our server was terrible. Forgot our bread order. ordered hot soup, served cold. never received requested 2nd wine. Needs to be comindeered to get his attention. I regretted the auto gratuity as he would have received none. We have dined at a number of cotes always with success so we know it was a one off.
Very prompt and pleasant service. Good choice of menu and drinks. Just a pity that our reserved table was next to staircase to toilets but maybe only one available at time of booking?
We had the 'prestige' menu. Reasonable value and the food was OK but we both found it slightly bland and boring. Service was good. Quite empty after the theatres start.
Very good food for the price. Social and helpful staff. Service was a little slow considering how few people were dining at the time but, I have to add, this was unusual.
Good food and excellent service as usual. Went for the pre theatre meal and even though very busy was served quickly; they chased deserts when we had little time. Value of set meal was very good and recommended a lower price wine.
They were so sweet and attentive - loved the service and the charming waiters! It was my mothers birthday and they gave us a couple of glasses of fizz with some cassis without me saying anything. Lovely!
Welcomed in a friendly and warm manner. Our server was fantastic and looked after us throughout the evening. An enjoyable evening was had by all.
We had a great table and a most attentive waitress, who did everything possible to make our visit enjoyable. Food was great and would be happy to come back again. Thank you.
Very noisy and busy, had to remind staff we wanted to order and about our drinks later. Otherwise the food was food and service improved as the restaurant quietened down.
Another good meal at Cote. We arrived at 5:45pm and it was virtually full. It was mainly a pre-theatre crowd, as were we and the pressure was on. Service and food were as good as always, BUT it did take 90 mins, start to finish for just two courses. We simply ran out of time to have a dessert. I have to say that having three menus to choose from unnecessarily complicates things for customers and kitchen alike. The set menu, the menu prestige and a la carte is a good idea but in practice falls down at times like this.
Excellent value, and speedy service. Essential to book as this branch is always, as one would expect given its location, very busy. The staff sometimes seem overstretched.
Not as good as the Tavistock St Branch. It was very busy and staff looked exhausted. Food was good though and great value for money
This restaurant has very high standards and I always enjoy my visits to St Martins Lane. Excellent choice of food, varied menus, and always good value.
On a clearly packed out evening, with - I guess - most clients clock watching for a theatre curtain-up start, the young lady who attended us, got us through with calm courtesy and efficiency, so we arrived down the road for Swan Lake well fed and unrushed.
A busy and buzzy restaurant . The pre theatre menu was great value and we had free kit royale with our theatre ticket ! Perfect .
Slightly noisy and cramped. Good, reliable, tasty food. I enjoyed the fish pie and my friend enjoyed his rabbit pie. Service just slightly misjudged, but friendly enough.
Perfect pre- theatre meal, delicious food from a varied menu, with quick but professional service. Inexpensive for good quality food. Service was very professional, quick but friendly.
Unfortunately, the steak my husband and I ordered was very tough. The staff replaced it but the second try was also tough although less so. Lesson - don't order cheap steak, I suppose! They did take off the cost of one set menu which was good and the waiting staff were polite and friendly.
Staff very friendly and hard working.. We did feel a little rushed with the meal .We know you have to turn tables but we've never felt rushed in any other Cotes weve been in..Food lovely as always.
Staff and service were very helpful and food was delish. Post theatre meal and right on the doorstep of London coliseum. Ordered from a la carte option. Kia royales as good as ever.
The service was prompt and attentive. The breakfast menu offered a good range of dishes and the set cooked breakfast menu was good value for money.
Great choices, lovely meal and well looked after by staff. We always go here when we go to the theatre. We love the 2 and 3 course set meal choices.
