Great service but food not up to usual high standard. Would not have artichoke risotto again and soup rather cold and tasteless. No water on table

Friendly staff. They always greet me like a long lost brother. It was good to see Sylvia back there again. Food was excellent as usual. Always consistent.

Good value and choice from set menu. Very busy but staff attentive and got served quite quickly. Overall a good place to eat in a central location.

Having been to many Cote Restaurants, this was the worst. The serving staff were very unfriendly. The food wasn’t good. Hot starter was cold. The table hadn’t been cleaned properly nor laid. Atmosphere was noisy, staff rushing everywhere as if they weren’t coping. Also shocked to be sat down and on the floor by the table a pest control device (for mice).

Lovely food, friendly service and reasonably priced. Our waitress was charming. And of course the location is excellent. Right next door to the London Coliseum.

Good service, good price and the restaurant is ideally placed for pre-theatre meal. One of the best for Coeliacs. Pre-booking is strongly recommended even for lunch.

Good food and service. Very convenient location, close to Trafalgar Square and theatres. We had the set menu. The only criticism I have is the noise level.

As always, good food and good service, although I felt the tuna starter was a little dry. Unfortunately, there were very noisy roadworks on the street right outside the restaurant. However, our waitress kindly gave us a table in the back area, which would normally be closed at lunchtime, so everything worked out well.

Greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. Excellent menu choice with some great specials. Took advantage of the 2 course fixed price menu. All of our dishes were excellently prepared and very tasty. Great atmosphere and attentive team. There was a mix up with our wine and the overall bill which was promptly rectified by the manager.

Our booking was pre theatre at 17.00 There had just been a remain rally nearby so 670000 people were kicking around and the restaurant was struggling to cope. We have been many times and its a great location. On this occasion the staff couldn't cope and I guess greed of the manager took over from what they could realistically achieve. Our wine wasn't chilled and we had to get ice.One of our starters turned up wrong and we waited another 20 mins for it to be corrected. The spinach side was also stone cold. There just wasn't enough waiting staff to give the service they usually give. We watched the staff running around like lunatics. We didn't complain and were given £10.00 off of our bill for the issues that they knew we had. I guess that covered the 12.5% service charge We would and will eat there again but service and food was poor on this occasion.

Our meal was as consistently good and enjoyable as always in Cote Brasseries. The staff are very professional and make everyone feel very welcome with their smiley faces and happy greetings. :) The only reason I haven’t given a 6 is because it can be pretty noisy due to the hard floors and some of the tables are very close to doors and route to the toilets.

I have had several happy meals at Côte in recent years and as always, both food and service -- attentive and courteous -- came up to my expectations. I have had better moules marinieres as a starter -- last night's portion seemed much smaller and a little tasteless, the only fly in the ointment, so to speak. Otherwise, top marks, thank you Côte!

We went to this restaurant for a pre theatre meal. The restaurant was very busy so there was a little bit of a wait here and there, between courses/ waiting for the bill. However, this didn’t affect our enjoyment of the meal, which was great value for money.

A disappointing visit to the Cote Brasserie St Martins Lane this time. We had invited my nephew and his girlfriend who were over from Bangkok for breakfast. Our table was ready and orders taken promptly. We had ordered the Breakfast Formule for all of us. The tea, coffee and juice for three arrived at a reasonable time, however mine did not arrive. I had to remind the waiter twice that I was still waiting and only received my coffee and orange juice after my breakfast had arrived. The restaurant was busy but I would not have expected to have to remind them twice that we were still waiting for part of our order. This has never happened before at this restaurant which is usually very good as we have been here on numerous occasions. The food, as always, was good and couldn't be faulted, just the service.

Booked vote to meet a friend for lunch. We had such a lovely afternoon, food was delicious and staff amazing. We were there for 3 1/2 hours catching up and at no point were we made to feel in the way or ever rushed to free the table. Will definitely be going back.

It was very busy in the pre theatre rush at Cote St Martins lane. We were served efficiently but did have to keep requesting the waiter's attention as he was clearly short-staffed. As a result we only just made it to the theatre on time... and with no chance for a toilet trip! Having said that, the food itself was lovely at Cote. I highly recommend the salmon in hollandaise sauce from the Prestige menu and the creme caramel was one of the best I have ever tasted. My sister had the chocolate pot and also thought that was great. Shame we didn't have the time to linger and enjoy!

Lively, if some what noisy, but being pre-Theatre this was to be expected. It was as usual extremely busy, having to turn people away, despite this the service was prompt. Another enjoyable meal

The food was was as good as ever, but the restaurant was so cold that several people were having lunch with their coats on. When we asked them if they could do something about it, they said that there was nothing they could do as their was only one heating unit in the restaurant and that was on full! This is clearly something that needs sorting out urgently before the real winter starts as it significantly impacted on our dining experience.

I think that Cote consistently produces good quality food at very reasonable prices. I have been to your Blackheath restaurant and enjoyed the food there so when saw you were in Covent Garden I didn't think twice and my friend said she had been to your restaurant in Exeter....! Really?

Terrific service and very good standard for the food served too. The place was quite full at 7.30 which was surprising since usually theatre-goers are away by then. Noisier and busier than sometimes. But that shows how what Cote offers is widely appreciated.

Slow service but realise it caters for the pre theatre crowd. Even so, even when it was quite, staff were too busy chatting amongst themselves. Unlikely to visit this branch again.
