We had a very nice meal, together with friendly service. The waiting staff seemed stretched but it was the busiest time of day. Although we'd booked via Quandoo, we had the feeling they weren't expecting us.
Being a Friday evening the restaurant was very busy but service was efficient and our meals arrived without undue delay. Overall experience was good and we will be returning soon.
Food was delicious as usual, service was very good and our waitress was very attentive and efficient, lovely atmosphere too. We had our three courses without having to rush for the theatre
Nice pre theatre meal before going to see The Inheritance. We booked once again the Delft Mackintosh offer and received complimentary kir royales. Good atmosphere and efficient service.
Great meal. Great service. Good atmosphere. Always reliable. Cote really deliver what they promise - very busy early evening service but managed very professionally and will be back!
Really great restaurant, great service and fun atmosphere. Food delicious. I would go back and recommend it. Especially at this time of year. The fish stew is great.
Atmosphere was pleasant and temperature good, staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was a good range and is reliably good. Tables rather close together so 4 out of 5,
Always top class . Food and service consistently of a high standard. . The staff always friendly. It has become a regular eating place for us
Good service and food inn a very noisy atmosphere -- the set menu remains very good value - but I prefer quieter branches of Cote such as Richmond and Kingston
Excellent service and good food, as ever, and a reasonable bill on the early evening deal. Which is why thousands of people go to Cote. Many pre-theatre deals in restaurants only give a choice of 3 choices per course, so your choice of 5 o 6 makes choosing more interesting.
We had Cote's Pre-Theatre meal last Sunday and the 3 courses were superb, all for £14.95, can't beat that, especially with the complimentary drink that was a big bonus! Great table looking out over St Martin's Lane and all the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
An excellent pre-theatre meal. Our table was ready and waiting for us and the meal was tip top. All the servers were very friendly and the price was very reasonable.
nice food and great atmosphere. but was bit busy. down stairs also have a nice place to have a dinner, definitely will come again with friends.
Nice to be able to eat after the theatre. Always good service - unhurried. Only thing as a vegetarian I wish they would put omelettes back on the menu/.
Even though the restaurant was busy due to customers eating before the theatre, staff were efficient and friendly. All diners should try the signature dish of French onion soup.
Always good service and good food. Never disappoints. Easy to have a good meal before or after theatre. Perhaps the tables are too close to each other but understand that they want to 'pack them in'.
Good food and remarkable value for money. A bit too noisy and busy for my taste - but where isn't between 5 and 7 pm /
We arrived early but were seated promptly. Food gorgeous, staff lovely and whole experience made a lovely start to our evening out Will definitely eat here again
Excellent service lovely food and value for money. Always great before the theatre 🎭 Would recommend both the ala carte menu and the pre theatre special.
;Food and service good as usual, but had to wait quite a while to be seated despite having a table booked and there being several empty tables.
I often have lunch here when in London. It is convenient to Charing Cross station and it suits me to meet here with family members. The service can be a bit slapdash at times but the quality of the food and the value at good. Though the prices have been creeping up of late.
Excellent food at cotes as usual. Very busy and excellent atmosphere As always never disappointed with cotes, our first visit to the st matins lane branch. Will return.
The food was up to standard and the service friendly and helpful. However, this Branch of Cote is showing it’s age and could do with a makeover to make it more alluring!
Good food, good atmosphere and good service. Have been several times in the past and always confident of a good experience. Ideally placed for theatres and sights.
A very pleasant dining experience . Our greeter was nice and courteous showing us to our table and asking about our well-being . Our Waitrose was a very lovely and extremely efficient Italian girl . She explained the various menus and how they worked . All in all a very nice pre theatre meal . The recommended wine , which was Fleurie was Delicious as was our Kir Royal apperetif . The food was good quality , presented well and at The right price . James Docherty .
Good atmosphere, polite service. The only reason I gave it 4 was because we were charged for a large glass of wine that we didn’t ask for. They did remove it from the bill but it could of got missed if we hadn’t checked.
Lovely good value for money. Set menu very good value for pre theatre
Cote was up to its usual standard. Good food and very friendly service. Very convenient when going to ENO just down the road. Menus very competitively priced and interesting.well worth getting to know.
Excellent service at peak time. Good food and value for money. The menu is diverse with lots of choice. The prix fixe selection tempted us to a three course meal and the coffee was good too. Well done.
Côte is consistently good. You can always rely on having an enjoyable meal at a very reasonable price. I had the prestige set menu - excellent French onion soup and delicious ribeye steak cooked just as I had ordered.
Very good pre-theatre menu, excellent value, served by friendly and efficient staff at what must have been their busiest time of day. Always a good choice.
Very accommodating restaurant, delicious food, excellent service. There was no port and offered glasses of Merlot on the house instead. Busy but the restaurant tried their best to not keep people waiting too long.
Cote Brasserie is one of our favourite places to eat in London It had a very varied and good menu, friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
We love Cote. 3 of us visited, late for our table after the (over-running) theatre and, even at the tail end of a shift, the staff were unfailing courteous, bringing us Cote's reliably good though inexpensive food fast and without fuss. Chicken, steak frites and fish parmentier all just as they should be. Recommend .
Great food and the usual very friendly staff. Always made to feel welcome. The food is always consistently good. I had warm beetroot salad and then a mushroom crepe.
Lovely waiter and attentive staff, good food and ambiance. Happy evening out with my Mum and brother. Would recommend as reliable pretty reasonable West end restaurant
excellent location for west end theatres. Need to book early in order to have a table for the excellent value good food. love the desert.
Besides the starter (prawns gratin) the remainder of the good was tasteless. The thin steak, the chips were tasteless and the bearnaise sauce was made of plain mayonnaise with some herbs. Nothing like a real bearnaise. Very disappointing as COTE is a favourite restaurant when coming to the local theatres and ENO OR MY LOCALSHampstead and Highgate. I will have to think twice before returning.
We had booked for 5.30 and our table was ready and service prompt. It was rather chilly at first - air conditioning in November?? The staff were pleasant and the food good. The noise level was ok - even when we left at 7.10pm when most tables were full we could still hear each other!
It was Saturday lunch time and very busy - and noisy. Not a time I would normally choose but couldn't be helped. Luckily I'd booked a table and we were shown to our table very quickly . We had a very attentive waitress who served us very quickly. The food was as good as always. No complaints.
Perfect location for theatre . Staff were charming and attentive . We were served quickly . Steak was perfect and delicious Would recommend for a pleasant meal
Great experience as always at one of the best cote in london . All 3 courses were amazing and service faultless !! We will be back !!
As always: great food and friendly, attentive, impeccable service for an after-theatre meal. Unfortunately, there was an especially noisy table nearby, but the staff were not responsible for that. Otherwise: GREAT!
Love this place, menu amazing and very reasonable. Recommend to all of my friends. Whenever I am in central London this is my number one choice.
The food was excellent and good value as usual. As the restaurant was very busy we went downstairs to the overflow room. That was good as it was a little quieter than the main room. Good friendly service.
Our favourite restaurant in the West End. Great for pre-theatre meals. The food is always good, the staff attentive and the atmosphere brilliant. Everybody appears to be treated as special.
Cote St Martins Lane is in the heart of theatre land, the prices are are reasonable considering you are in the heart of London in fact the menu has improved , the staff are very helpful.
Food was good service was 50% good. Server was overloaded and we had a hard time getting her attention to order dessert and then again getting the bill.
Havent even finished yet and been asked to review. Obviously liking it. Good steak good chocolate pot. Service a bit slow.. very busy. good value
Very busy, and very buzzy.....but we were well looked after. Cheerful and helpful manager and staff....thoroughly enjoyed our dinner there. Perfect venue for nearby theatres
