helpful friendly no problems. always good food well presented with little delay long may they last. We love France dont leave us life will be dull AGAIN
All the Cote brasseries are good but the one in St. Martin's Lane is one of the best. The service always charming and welcoming and the food as good as usual
GOOD PLACE TO EAT IN THE HEART OF THEATRE LAND <GOOD FOOD AT A VERY FAIR PRICE <ITS BEST TO BOOK A TABLE AS IT GETS VERY FULL AND THEY HAVE TO TURN PEOPLE AWAY < THE STAFF VERY GOOD
Another lovely meal at Cote. The most consistent chain I know. Great choice on the set menus and a la carte. Fabulous food and service. Always busy. Amazing value for central London.
Food and service always reliable and it was a pleasure to visit. Other central restaurants just don't match up to Cote for value and hospitality.
We came for pre-theater meal, it was prompt and nicely served. Food standard is above the average here, for the price it's great. Will come again gladly.
I love this particular cöte. But I was disappointed during my recent visit. Staff unaware of the offers. A lot of new staffs around....they're not trained to make eye contact. I had to sit for first 20 minutes to be able to order some drinks. And the delays and no eye contact carried on throughout my visit. I hope the management fix this problem ASAP and train the staff to be more visible, make proper check-back on tables and definitely make eye contacts.
Lovely atmosphere, great service and food came quickly. I had duck with dauphinois potatoes for mains and it was lovely. Great location too for a nice walk around London.
As always cote doesn’t disappoint. Service very good. Restaurant fills up very quickly pre theatre as expected. Advice would be to book if you can. Food as always spot on.
Good food, good service, all you'd normally expect from Cote Brasserie. We had a table right at the back of the restaurant which I believe was quieter than most and absolutely perfect for us. The food was good (we had the Prestige set menu), the service was friendly with minimal fuss.
Great food. Very busy on a Saturday night and felt service was not as good as usual as they were too busy. Maybe needed more staff
Arrived 20 minutes before reservation time. Despite being very busy with the pre theatre rush a table was quickly found. Excellent food and service and value for money. Thoroughly recommended.
Phone to Change booking time I was reassured this would take place e but found it didn’t on arrival. I had to wait around for a while before being seated. I was served cold food, mule with no sauce. But the waitress was friendly, nice and polite.
Great food great service great value. I highly reccomend this restaurant and indeed the whole chain. They have the nicest staff who give attantive service.
Very helpful and friendly staff at this restaurant. The food was very good and service very efficient. Atmosphere was noisy but this can't be helped - it is a sign of the popularity of the place. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area and wanting a meal before theatre etc.
This Cote copes well with the pre-theatre crowd, delivering delicious food in a timely fashion with a smile. The set menu is really good value for money.
We booked for supper in between matinee and evening performances of The Inheritance. Although very crowded, service was swift, the staff efficient and polite, and the meal very tasty. I usually enjoy Côte but this Theatre land branch was especially good.
Great New Years Eve Menu . Delicious food and attentive staff.
Not good service someone forgot our main courses and the fish pie thing on the set menu was not good. too much mash potatoes. OK
I made this reservation in September 2018 for a table on New Years Eve at 05:30 pm. I was expecting to choose off of the pre-theatre menu, but was told that it had finished at 05:00 pm, instead of 07:00 pm as normal. The only menus that were available were the a la carte or the special New Years Eve menu. If you change the rules why do you not inform Quandoo, so that they can advise peple, or your loyal customer direct.
We arrived half an hour early but were welcomed to our table. Excellent service. Delicious food and great value. Set menu was available despite being a Sunday.
Fantastic food and amazing service from delightful and professional staff, we had a brilliant evening, thank you to everyone at Côte St. Martin’s Lane, highly recommend and looking forward to visiting again.
Very good service anal staff were very friendly . Look forward to going there back again very soon. Excellent choice of food and great price.
Excellent service which was friendly and professional. I like how staff serve the food using two members of staff. Food was great and portions were sufficient. Will return.
10 minute queue at the door to be seated at reserved tables got the evening off to a bad start. Lots of staff but inefficiently run. 10 min wait to get the bill and a further 10 to pay it. Table next to us had to leave their main course at table to make a dash to the theatre. Best leave this Cote alone.
Sat beside service area - awful. Busy with waiting staff and noisy. One of us kept almost being knocked from behind and had to sit forward. Part of the meal was refunded due to poor quality.
Very good happy service. Excellent value for a central London restaurant would certainly use it again and recommend it to family and friends alike. Try it ?
Would have been a full house but we where put downstairs with a really loud big group booking which spoilt it a bit as we could hear each other. Food and service was fantastic.
Very attentive staff, nice-up atmosphere, delicious food, perfect for a group or intimate couple's night out! Duck, filet, mussels all A+. You will want to come back!
Food good and hot. Waitress excellent. Kia Royale served warm in a wine glass. Where were the flutes. Fizz not chilled. No Christmas decorations! Why?
Delicious rib eye steak and fries. The service was excellent, despite it being very busy. A lovely pre-Christmas lunch with my daughter and at an affordable price.
A very pleasant dining experience with good food and helpful staff. Although the restaurant was busy we never felt rushed or made to feel we should leave quickly.
The food is absolutely delicious and the price is amazing for central London. The service is also impressive, particularly given how busy is. We go back again and again for those reasons.
They worked hard to make our visit enjoyable even though they were very busy. Food good, service good. Up to the usual standard. Well done.
As usual for the Cote Brasserie there was a wide and interesting choice on the menu. The food is well priced too. One of our favourite constants is the Kit royale, delicious and comparatively inexpensive. The staff are attentive, even at this extra busy time of year.
Unfortunately food was cold & staff were for ever dropping cutlery and menus on the floor. Very noisy . Normally food has been good. Disappointing 🙁
Good service, excellent pretheatre menu with good variety of choice. Only doewnside had musels as a stater and for 2nd time in a row were over cooked which was disappointing.
Service friendly and efficient, food really good and excellent value, this is my favourite Cote! What more can I say...thank you for keeping up your standards
I was glad I’d booked a table, people were queuing, it was buzzing. I had the set lunch, moules mariniere to start, which was delicious, followed by steak frites, cooked pink. Excellent food as usual in Côte.
Wonderful staff. Always smiling no matter how busy you are. The food is great as well and very price worthy. Cannot think of anything else to say.
Great service, good veggie breakfast option despite their normal menu being mostly meat/fish based. Great location and not too busy at 11 am. Think it would be busy later in the day.
We are regular diners at this Cote, and recognise that it is an extremely busy restaurant around pre-show times, but the staff are generally very attentive and professional, in quite a stressful and busy environment. The food was of good quality, which we find is quite consistent on most visits. The Manager was very kind in offering a gratis glass of prossecco while we waited for our booked table as it was not ready on our arrival, and we enjoyed superb service from our waiter, Thomas. We had one alarming, and very rude intervention from an Italian waitress, who just barged in to a conversation, almost threw our dessert at us, and barked out "Enjoy"! This was a most unwelcome intervention, and our own waiter, Thomas, who had witnessed this rude scene, came straight over and apologised for her behaviour.
We are big Cote fans. Whenever we go to the theatre we try and book for a pre-theatre dinner. Food and service were excellent at St Martins Lane restaurant. Only hiccup was when we called ahead as we were running late and wanted to tell them. As we were in transit we called the COVENT GARDEN restaurant by mistake instead of the ST MARTIN'S LANE one that we had actually booked. The girl who answered the phone took my name and said Yes that was all fine. BUT it obviously wasn't as when we got to St Martin's Lane, they had given away our table! And had received no message at all. However the marvellous manager sorted it and gave us a table and all was well. He did say people often mix up the two restaurants- so perhaps a bit of telephone training wouldn't go amiss.
Reliable food - Côte is a good example of a chain restaurant that gets things right. Service was a bit patchy to start with but only to be expected on a Friday night in the West End. Food was tasty and reasonably priced but I think staff could do with a bit of training around drinks. The nice cognac we ordered to round off the meal was totally ruined by having ice added to it. All they need to do is ask!
Brilliant time at Cote last evening - really good service even at this busy time and the food was delicious! Staff could not have been more helpful and atmosphere was really buzzy..
Food was very good. However, too few staff meant that service was sporadic and slow. Our waiter was doing his best but just didn't have a hope of proving a polished service. For example, red wine arrived after we had begun the main course.
The food was excellent as ever, however there was general mayhem because the restaurant's system had gone down (O2 I guess). They were struggling therefore to give people their bills, and could only take cash. Not Cote's fault, but it was very fraught!
We had a very nice meal, together with friendly service. The waiting staff seemed stretched but it was the busiest time of day. Although we'd booked via Quandoo, we had the feeling they weren't expecting us.
Being a Friday evening the restaurant was very busy but service was efficient and our meals arrived without undue delay. Overall experience was good and we will be returning soon.
Food was delicious as usual, service was very good and our waitress was very attentive and efficient, lovely atmosphere too. We had our three courses without having to rush for the theatre
