Service was good. Good value & choice on pre theatre menu.
Delicious food from the vegetarian menu and excellent service - thank you.
Staring to slip. We had booked a table and had to wait more than ten minutes. It was one hour gone and we still had had only our starter. The noise level is unbearable for a person with hearing aids. My mussels were dried out, obviously had been standing around for ages. Slipping badly - used to be good.
Excellent service; attentive , helpful and friendly. Food good as always with plenty of choice. Set menus at Cote are always great value for money.
Usual good service and tasty food on the pre-theatre menu
Food, service, ambience and location were all excellent. Cote suits us very well at reasonable prices.
We went to this restaurant before going to the theatre on a Saturday evening. Booking was essential. Although very busy they had enough staff who remained calm & efficient. The food was excellent. I would highly recommend as it is extremely good value for money!
Cote St Martin's Lane is always extremely busy at lunch time when there are matinee theatre, as it's such a great location and such great value with the fixed price menus . On this occasion there was quite a delay getting to our table as there seemed to be some confusion with the booking of the lady in front of us. Once at our table, our orders were promptly taken and served, but we had to ask our waiter a few times before we got water and condiments, and also the steak was a bit overcooked. Still won't deter me from going back as think it was a bit of a one off.
A busy evening but we were served efficiently by a charming waitress Food was delicious and also a nice merlot
Second visit to St Martins Lane. Particularly impressed because steak was not as hot as the frites. Within moments a second steak and frites came and my glass of wine wasn’t on the bill. This gesture says more about the company, the staff and the organisation. Thank you.
Pre-theatre dinner was excellent value - best risotto I've had in a while. It is a busy resto but staff always friendly and helpful. Recommend booking for that early evening time as always packed!
The best option for pre-theatre meals in my opinion. Efficient and speedy service, good food, excellent value.
The food was very good and good value for money
This is without doubt the best Cotes restaurant I have been to. Great food, service and atmosphere. Always very busy due to location but the staff are always excellent.
Great Pre-Theatre menu with plenty of choice and excellent service.
Very busy on arrival but calmer once theatre crowd had left - lovely staff.
A lovely trip to Cote as always. The food was great and the ambience was delightful.
Another very good visit to this restaurant. Will be back.
Helpful staff. Excellent food. Only problem is the online table booking!! It clearly has major problems at the moment!
The service was slow. Food was good & warm. The male duty manager barked at at me for asking where my cranberry juice was, I had waited approaching 20 mins. When I asked him not to speak to me like that he started arguing with me he hadn't done anything wrong, shouting at me. Quite remarkable to be honest. And a thoroughly unpleasant experience. That male duty manager needs urgent training. I had to ask the female duty manager 4 times for the name of the general manager - just didn't want me to have the name. She then point blank refused to give me the general managers email address. I had to give up asking for it, there was a queue, so abandoned reasoning with her that I had the right to email the general manager directly, she said she wanted to deal with my complaint. Having worked in hospitality I was shocked by the treatment towards a customer who had genuine complaint. No amount of covers / busy environment excuses such poor customer service. The waiters / waitresses were nice. What a poor education they are getting from those managers. I'm a heavy Côte user, personal and work. A terrible experience really for me, a loyal customer.
Lovely food and great service. Very friendly staff. Great value
Lovely good and friendly attentive staff The restaurant gets busy and noisy at peak times, but that is because it is so popular.
I took my sister out for a birthday lunch so i wasn't hungry in the evening so i had the tuna nicoise which was delicious.
Given good table Main course rather slow to arrive but food and service good
The meal was enjoyable, though portions were rather small, the atmosphere great and we were allowed to chat to friends without feeling we'd overstayed our welcome.
Just a lovely spacious Cote. Good food as usual and efficient service. Would always return. So useful for nights out in London with being near to theatreland.
First time at this London branch. It may be a "chain" restaurant but I have never had a bad meal. FYI - always book in advance as I have never got a table when I bave tried a "walk-in". Enjoy!
Much improved since last visit. Ideal restaurant for pre theatre meal
We were part of the pre-theatre crowd, and although the place was extremely busy, our waitress was friendly and efficient and got us fed and watered very quickly. We had the house wine, anchovies and monkfish, which were all delicious.
We’ve never had a negative experience at Cote - quality of food and service is always consistent. This time was no different. Despite being very busy in the Saturday evening pre-theatre slot, we were served quickly, and the food was delicious. Try the praline crepes for dessert - you won’t be disappointed!
Very busy pre theatre time at this efficient Theatreland restaurant. We had good food and service. Will return.
Great service and lovely food with very nice ambience and atmosphere
Always good food, always good value. Always a good bet.
I always enjoy a visit to Cotes but sadly the fish pie which I had enjoyed at a different Cotes was rather dry on thos occasion.
We advised our waiter that we were going to the theatre and had about an hour to be through. He was excellent - taking our order promptly and getting our food to us quickly and professionally without hassling us. An excellent experience. I would highly recommend them.
There is an inherent problem with people queuing at the door to get in. Having said that, the queue this evening was dealt with quickly and efficiently, as was the service. The food was cooked well and to request; only downside was the wine ordered was of different vintage to that on menu. We had a lovely waitress, a lovely meal and a lovely evening. Judge a restaurant by the way they put things right and this Cote has done this and more. Would definitely revisit.
Excellent service and very good food. We were a party of 3 and our meals were served at the same time. We were not rushed but finished our lunch in good time to go on to the theatre.
As always, excellent value, good food and very helpful service.
Was just lovely from start to finish the March offer on the Gin well worth having along with the duck......
Seated quickly but had to wait 15 minutes before anyone took our order and we had to ask for that. Service was quick and food tasty. Good choice on table d’hote menu. Would go again as the atmosphere was great
Excellent food and service with a smile. I would certainly recommend Cote as the place to go for great value and atmosphere.
a good varied menu with lots of interesting things to eat.
Good and fast service as always and reasonably priced per theatre menu
Lovely, smiley service - efficient too! - and good quality, tasty meals all round. Our daughter has Coeliac, and always enjoys the gluten free options at Cote. This time was no exception.
Lovely pre theatre meal with friends. It’s the first time I’ve tried their fish pie which was delicious. Also had their house white for the first time which is great value and very good quality
enjoyable meal as usual. Rather noisy this time though. Will be back
Not happy where we were initially seated considering I had booked a month in advance and there was plenty room downstairs we had been stuck in the entrance behind a curtain where everyone was queuing to get in and so the door was open constantly Hardly condusive for a great dining experience I complained we were moved and then we had a good meal as you would expect from Cote
It was o’k Not great but still o’k Will come up back later
I arrived a little early but a table always free for me. The food was delicious although I did feel sorry for the man in the next table watching me trying to eat the French onion soup with the fabulous stringy cheese! I was well looked after
Delightful staff and lovely atmosphere. It was a birthday party loved the prosecco and singing!! And the pud!!
