Waited over an hour or main course. Asked 3 times where it was. Manager refused to come to table. Was given discount without me asking but thought it was very poor service.
Main course and sweet ok but muscle starter was very disappointing
You can always rely on Cote for a delicious, well priced and speedy pre-theatre meal. The food and service are consistently good and although the restaurant can be noisy - because it is popular and therefore busy - I like the buzz and ambience.
A great value meal with very attentive service in the heart of London on a summer evening
Felt a bit let down tonight as normally love cotes.
Wonderful, really helped my mum celebrate her birthday and we appreciate all the staff did on the day
The service was great, the food excellent value for money and very tasty.
A very enjoyable meal and evening with excellent food and service.
The staff were attentive but not so much it spoilt the meal. The food was lovely.
We had a great time, easy to talk, great food
3 of us - Prawn Gratinee, Haddock, Duck, Moules - all excellent and service was first class.
Had a lovely pre-theatre meal in great buzzy atmosphere. We use Cote regularly and are never disappointed
Excellent food, excellent service and really good value for money. Have never hsd a bad meal here.
Whenever we go to London for the theatre we always head for Cote as we know we’ll get freshly cooked food at a great price and served in a timely manner so that we can arrive at our Covent Garden theatre venue on time.
We booked our table the food is always delicious and of good quality then staff are friendly but not over powering. Well done Cote will be back
Buzzing atmosphere and busy as usual. Booking is essential. Set menu good value and staff friendly and helpful.
Great atmosphere but a bit noisy at times. Very busy restaurant but efficient service and prompt food delivery. Excellent value for money for the pre theatre deal and good quality food with good choices. Would recommend.
As always, a fantastic meal, great service and a great place to meet and catch-up with a friend (or for a pre or post theatre meal). Thank you to everyone at St Martin’s :) See you soon!
Good meal - the Chateaubriand was excellent. Our waitress was very efficient & friendly.
We were made welcome the moment we arrived and given a choice of tables
We were a party of six and booked for a pre -Theatre meal. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional and there were good choices of dishes on the two competitively priced set menus. Everything was perfectly cooked, well presented and delicious. The restaurant is understandably very busy and the noise levels are high, making conversation difficult. This is the same in busy restaurants everywhere - exacerbated by the fashion for no soft furnishings which absorb and deaden noise, so it’s no worse than most places. We were very happy with our meal, the service and felt it was good value. The speed of service was also good.
Excellent value and lovely staff.Food is always fabulous and ther loos are excellent
Both my Mum and I had a lovely meal and always a fab gluten Free menu with so much choice. Always a will go to this restaurant
Brilliant service super food and could fault a thing well done
Good food, good service and nice atmosphere at Cotes St Martin's Lane.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent, with attentive waiting staff. I will return!
Although the food and service at the St Martin's Lane branch are absolutely fine, I do find it the most cramped of the Cote restaurants I frequent. Conversation can be difficult as it is noisy and you are so close to fellow diners. But for an OK meal at a reasonable price in the West End it is worth a visit.
Good food and service at a reasonable price thanks. Location very convenient for theatres.
Before the theatre this restaurant is always heaving and staff do really well to feed everyone! and staff seem to retain a sense of humour which is crucial. Food is ok though I wasn't sure if the mash with the haddock was real potato?! I'll come back because you can be sure you will eat and get to the theatre in time.
We had a very enjoyable meal.. Waitresses were extremely nice. Pleasant setting, would definitely return.
We always use Cote restaurants when visiting London. This is one of our favourites as it is really convenient for many of the theatres around Leicester Square. As always, everything was great and there is no "early evening/pre-theatre wait" if you book ahead rather than just turn up and hope.
Very busy. Unfortunately we had a table near the entrance and felt crowded by people waiting for a table. Also felt a bit hurried to leave our table when we'd finished. However the food was good, the service prompt and the location was great for the theatre we were attending.
As usual we had a very nice meal at this restaurant. It is always very busy pre- theatre time but the staff managed to bring the food fairly quickly so we could make the theatre in time.
Surprisingly busy early evening on a Thursday but the good formulae menus and proximity to tourist sites are a factor. Despite that quality of food as good as others Cotes all over so standards remain high . Dependable
I am an ATG card holder so the complimentary Kir Royale cheered my party of four who were very pleased and put us in a good mood for the Phantom of the Opera. The only disappointment was the asparagus was off the menu 🤷♂️
The atmosphere was lively, the staff helpful, the food good. It’s an extensive menu, something everyone!
Great pre theatre restaurant. Always good food and very efficient service. Very reasonable.
As always it was a very enjoyable evening and perfectly timed for going to the theatre. The food from the pre-theatre meal was delicious. I just cannot find a way to redeem my quandoo points. Please help.
A lovely belated Mother’s day treat pre show dinner ...... live the new menu glad to see the pork belly is still available though as it’s my favourite x
A excellent experience with friendly yet efficient staff who have good customer relations skills and work hard to ensure guests feel valued. Thanks. It is advisable to book as it is very busy and popular.
Promt service, we ate from prestige menu, delicious pate, both of us had pork belly and found it dried out and chewy (not usually disappointing), peach crumble was flavourless- stick to apple!
excellent service throughout - seated within 1 min - food was excellent
always loathe to write glowing reviews in case we cant get a table next time!! This Cote is a star, has never let us down, and we always walk away with a smile, could be the wine, but they have definitely got this one right!!
As ever the quality of the food and value was excellent. The staff are very well trained and pleasant.
We arrived at 16:30 and it wasn't busy yet so it was quite pleasant. Our three course meal was very nice and we had complimentary Kir Royals with the Delfont Mackintosh offer. The service was good but they did charge us for the Kir Royals which were supposed to be complimentary. We told them and they rectified the mistake
The restaurant was very extremely loud, difficult to have a conversation without shouting.Food was ok, but I have the impression that the quality is deteriorating a bit. Not my favourite meal at cote, but still nice. The service was efficient.
Good time..& value for money Really delightful customer friendly staff
Excellent service at a busy time and also good value.
