We had lamb and pork from the a la carte menu and they were both excellent. Cheese board was also very good. A pleasant experience.
Great food, location and friendly staff. Well worth a vist
Two of us are hard of hearing, so we like it as quiet as possible. But Cote is a lot better in this respect than many other restaurants. Otherwise everything was excellent and we had just what we came for - a long leisurely Sunday lunch.
Rapid and good food Waiters where very nice Thank you
Delicious food and charming service. All done in plenty of time for our trip to the theatre.
As always, when attending the Royal Opera, Cote is my 'go to' choice of dining. The service on arrival is always polite and punctual, the menu is always a joy, with plenty of choice. The wine menu isn't too extensive, which when having a already plenty to choose from on the dining menu allows you to select something complementary of your choices with ease. I always feel it only fair to inform the Maitre d' that we're dining pre-engagement and always find the waiting times just perfect for those occasions. A thoroughly enjoyable evening is always had. The staff are most professional, with a delicate mix of appropriate humor. A must for my guests and I when in Covent Garden.
Food was OK but not great - waiter was curt and verging on petulant.
We had appalling service & will likely not return to this Cote! Having given our drinks order, including tap water for the table, we had to wait till after the starters had come before being given the tap water. One starter, a hot plate of soup, was delivered like warm and had to be returned. Two main courses came out completely wrong and had to be returned and redone - the server apologised admitting it was his mistake but no compensation was given by the restaurant for this mistake. We told them we wanted to be out by a certain time because we had a show to go to but all these errors added delays and the final straw was when we asked for the bill, when it came the server disappeared and didn’t return so we could pay. We had to find someone else after wasting yet more time. Not a good experience at all even if the food we did get was very enjoyable.
Good meal, only problem was my side dish of minted peas was forgotten so it came out 10 minutes after the main course which was a shame
Good food great service buzzy atmosphere ideal for our pre theatre meal
I always try to eat in Cote whether brunch or dinner. Excellent choice of food, always to high standard. Staff very helpful.
The service was appalling tonight. We specifically told our server we had tickets for a show & needed to out by 7pm. We were but after rushing because (1) one guest ordered hot soup which came out like warm so had to be sent back to be reheated (2) two mains came out wrong and one had to be sent back and completely recooked which the server acknowledged was his fault for taking it down wrong (3) our simple order of tap water for the table, ordered before the food order was taken, took till after the starters hd been served to be out o.n the table (4) we asked for the bill which came quickly but then our server disappeared and we had to wait despite him knowing our time pressure. He never returned & we had to find someone else who could help. To cap it all, despite acknowledging the errors and the server even telling a senior member of staff how he had messed up the order for two of the main dishes, we were offered nothing by way of compensation by the restaurant. A really poor, disappointing evening and one that makes me very unlikely to return co spidering the large variety of restaurants in Covent Garden
Love the new menu, I’m nit a vege but decided to have the ravioli with goats cheese and walnuts that was truly delicious x
We visited the Cote in St Martin's Lane for pre-theatre food. We ordered steak & frites, chicken and walnut salad, one glass of wine, lemon tart and one coffee. The restaurant was extremely busy but the staff were very efficient and friendly. The food was OK. The chicken and walnut salad had no walnuts, only one French bean, and an extremely minimal amount of shallots, spinach, croutons and avocado – it was mostly chicken and lettuce (they did give me a discount for the lack of walnuts!). Nice dressing. The wine wasn't particularly cold and the pastry on the lemon tart was soft – the filling had a good flavour, although my daughter said the raspberries tasted of 'nothing'. Great coffee; the steak and frites was fine. For convenience, speed and charming staff, this is a good place to go, but the food could definitely be improved.
Had a lovely pre theatre evening meal here with very welcoming staff, seated us by an open window which was much appreciated as it was a very hot day! Always good service and value at Cote!
Excellent value for money, always good food and good service
Great food, efficient happy service, 4 of us eat from the set lunch time menu, good value for money
Good food. Moderate prices. Restaurant a bit noisy but quite lively at the same time. Noise level stars below? What do they mean? 1 star for no noise? 6 stars means I found the noise level acceptable?
We visit here regularly and it never disappoints - good food and excellent service - a well trained team!
Lovely food and courteous staff And good value for money
Wonderful food, service and ambiance after a matinee theatre visit. So impressed by how they get the food out swiftly and efficiently even when full. Keep doing what you do Cote!!😍
very very noisey but food and service was excellent. Our waiter was especially helpful.
Great as usual. Lovely service and very nice, tasty food.
All great And the lovely Italian waitress was brilliant!
We really enjoyed both the food & the service today
Excellent service by Sylvia. Theatre Menu great value for money. We always use Cote when coming up to London for theatre and would highly recommend it
Delicious French bistro food with excellent and warm service at a reasonable price and steps from the theatre.
Delicious food, generous portions, good service and great value for money!
I frequently invite friends to eat in Côte. They are always impressed with the service as well as the food. Excellent value for money.
Very busy but expected pre Theatre. Staff very efficient and friendly. Would definitely book again when we are in Theatre Land.
Excellent salad nicoise topped with delicious tuna steak. Slight mixup over the booking when the friend I’d gone to meet and I were put on separate tables. Once staff realised what had happened it was all sorted out and we were given complimentary glasses of Kir. That’s service.
Fantastic lunch great food and atmosphere. The staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Really good value for money. Will definitely return we love Cotes
Food was well presented & tasty (tuna steak) the 1/2 chicken was dry & wasn’t very tasty. The tap water wasn’t chilled as it states on the bottle.
A bustling and lively atmosphere with friendly and professional service. Bearing in mind how busy the restaurant became our meal arrived in good time, the only slight wait being when we wanted to pay!
Had a great experience as always at Cote Brasserie. Staff were very attentive. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. My favourite restaurant!
Good food, and service as always. Have been before, and used a number in London. Always good
Food slightly disappointing, duck was gristly and onion soup it as good as on previous visits
A birthday visit. Totally enjoyable . Food excellent and absolute value for money. Service faultless with gratis aperitif on arrival in the light of my birthday. Fully recommended.
Great food - nice waiting staff but felt a little rushed !!
Nice quick meal as going to the theatre. Alas the noise level is quite loud. And tables close together.
Communication was clear, food came quickly and was very tasty. Good value for money. .
Good restaurant for a spot of breakfast! Couldn't fault it.
Had the Salad Nicoise which was small, had one olive and no anchovies. Good service.
Our waiter was lovely and the highlight of the evening. Sadly the atmosphere is so chaotic that it diminishes the experience.
Food was bland and overpriced. Restaurant was extremely noisy and very hot. Service was fine.
We both enjoyed an after theatre meal with good service provided.
As always food and service were 5 star, this restaurant never fails to impress me, such good value thank you.
Food was great. Toilets were a bit dirty. Great staff. Very good service.
