This certain branch of Cote has extremely friendly staff, very tasty food and excellent service. I would recommend here to everyone. I’ve been here twice with a year apart in between and it was excellent both times from a friendly welcome at the door to ensuring we had a pleasant evening. I was hesitant at first to go back to Cote as had a terrible experience at the one in Kensington with rude staff, terrible table and no offer of the theatre set menu which was advertised. Kensington would do well to learn from St Martins!

The food wasn’t as well made as usual and the whole staff seem to have changed, no girls at all.

We really enjoyed our dinner with friends. We arrived slightly earlier our booking. It was rainy outside. The staff was very helpful to arrange table for us.

Absolutely loved it. Our Waiter was superb and it was my daughters 20th Birthday, we were given a complimentary glass of Fizz. Food excellent. What more can I say! just a huge thank you.

Usual very good service and food delivered by friendly and attentive staff but whilst we weren’t rushed, the atmosphere felt more frenetic than usual. Maybe it was the pre-theatre crowd. Still excellent value for money.

Igor, the manager, made our evening. He saw to a couple of problems we had immediately in a way that made us feel really important- nothing was too much trouble for him. The restaurant was incredibly busy but that didn’t stop him providing a perfect service.

We regularly eat at Cote in our home town, but this is the second time we have been to this Cote in St Martin's Lane. It was convenient for a lunch ahead of a theatre matinee locally. Food and service was excellent. Pleased we had booked for 12pm,as the restaurant soon filled up. Will come again on our next trip to London.

We are great fans of Cote and eat here often. This visit was OK but not as good as previous occasions. First the white wine arrived and was barely cool; it was that bad, we asked for ice cubes for it - especially at £11:50 a glass! Then one of the three starters failed to arrive. I encouraged the others to start especially as one of them was hot. When mine arrived, it was minus one of the two pieces of brioche that come with it. That arrived a few minutes later. The rest of the meal was fine. So good overall but sub-par for Cote.

Friendly staff. Good food. A bit noisy, but that was because it was full. It would have been good to have had a quieter table - I noticed that there was a unused room downstairs that was lovely and quiet. I don't know why that wasn't used!

Really busy when we arrived post matinee performance - we hit the pre theatre rush. So crowded, noisy, almost chaotic, couldn't hold a conversation easily. The waiters/waitresses worked very hard to keep up. Food was very average, steaks were overcooked. Overall not the best experience and no cheaper than other, better French bistros in the same area. To cap it all I had an upset stomach later (enough said) my wife was OK though. We won't be back.

My partner and I were going to the theatre, so we needed the service to be speedy. It was that and more. Both of our servers were impeccably polite and helpful, ensuring we were served without delay. The manager was funny and kind to us.

Made a booking for 8am. Turned up and was told there was no chef. Received a phone call at 9am saying I hadn't turned up for my booking and would I be coming in now? Explained I had turned up, on time, and there was no chef. Was told yes there was, there was a problem with the gas, and would I like to come back now? No, I'm at work now. They then said they would send me a voucher for the inconvenience - never received the voucher ...

Slow start but overall satisfied with the experience and visit Food of good quality Atmosphere a little hectic Service was chaotic on arrival but soon got better when our server Joanna took over who was exceptional and looked after us very well Two different set menus tried and two a la carte. All food was of good standard Waiting time on arrival was overlong. We arrived on time. We were told by the manager to wait five minutes for a booth to be cleared and then were left waiting for over ten minutes until Joanna took over. She was lovely. Good value food overall. Noise level was really bad. We had to shout to hear one another at times. We've been here a few times and this was the least organised it's ever been. However, we will likely return. We like the other London Cote restaurants too.

Unfortunately it wasn't a great experience. We ordered fillet steaks, one looked like it had been left out for a long time and was very dry, the other was undercooked. We asked for one to be replaced and the other to be cooked some more - waited around 20 minutes for this, the one that was cooked more was the same steak, it still wasn't cooked well and had dried out. We changed the other steak to a crepe but by the time it came we had lost our appetite.

Busy place especially as we went for a pre theatre meal. Staff were attentive and polite. The meal was excellent, and for London, very good value for money. We had a 3 course meal and a bottle of wine working out at £62.00p for the 2 of us. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and would return.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here with my friend. The tuna nicoise was excellent and the creme caramel to die for ! A pity the restaurant is so terribly noisy, as that can be quite tiring. There were also not enough waiting staff on duty while we were there from 2pm. But they did their very best. The no 8 Sauvignon blanc is a good wine

Service was. Little slow to start with, quite a wait before drink order taken. Secondly reluctance to clear table between courses had to request it as the server seem quite happy to attempt to pike the dishes on top of one another. Lastly was not offered condiments when main course was delivered. Noticed next table was. Food however was good as was the wine.

Took an hour for the main course of pork tenderloin to arrive (on the prestige menu!) to arrive and it was so salty you could not eat it, particularly as there was so so little mash potato. I didn't complain - I just wanted to have a pleasant meal with my mum. Does anybody actually read these? If so, could you get back to me with your comments. Thanks
