Another excellent meal. We arrived (unexpectedly) almost one hour earlier than our booking time but your staff were very accommodating and we didn't have to wait for a table.
Very nice food and staff. I had the pre-theatre menu and my friend chose from a la carte. Both means were very nice indeed.
We had a wonderful evening at Cote St Martin's Lane for my pre birthday bash. It was the day after the Government announced lock down measures because of COVID19 so Leicester Square was eerily empty and deserted. The staff at Cote could not have been friendlier though and the meal was terrific!
My restaurant of choice when in London. Perfect place for solo diners, fabulous quality of food and great value.
Tiny portions for the special offer set meal and the main course looked like a school dinner!
Good food and good service. Cote is a regular pre-theatre or post-exhibition venue.
Great food, free cocktails thanks to voucher, thank you. To be recommended.
Great location great food ,waiter very helpful Would go again
Excellent, swift service. Everyone friendly & helpful even though they were busy. Pork was a little dry but when I mentioned it, I was offered & brought more gravy to compensate.
Always a good pre theatre choice! The quality of food and pace of service means you always know you will get a great supper and be in time for your theatre performance without feeling hurried.
Excellent service from super friendly team & pre theatre choices superb value for money
We are regulars at Cotes around the London area. This weeks meal at Cote St Martins Lane was not one of our better experiences. Starters were up to the usual standard but the mains fell short. Chicken was dry/ overcooked - looked and tasted as if it had been under the heat lamp for too long. The green beans were an unappetising shade of khaki. Service was erratic but slow overall. I really hope this was a one-off and not a general lowering of standards, as we have been advocates of the Cote brand for many years for their quality, reliability and vfm
Lovely staff greAt meal off to a show now what more could you want
Excellent pre-theatre supper again. Only drawback was the noise level – the restaurant was pretty full and the couple at the next (very close) table had very resonant voices.
Great meal, the chicken dish on the main menu was awesome. All washed down with some reasonably priced good tasting champagne. Excellent service.
Food all good , Service all good but when you come to pay the while the 12.5 is Optional Gratuity the staff attidue seems to have changed if you do not that amount.......it was 8.41 left 6 t0 7 pounds server came back said cash was short not for the bill it was not......Next time I go feel like just leaving the amount of the bill , and no Gratuity at all ....This happened two weeks ago and again thus week .....This takes it away from having a nice evening ....
Wonderful service and great value for money. Always a good pre theatre venue
Polite and efficient service, good sized portions and tasty good.Good value for money.
Always lovely food from an extensive choice, well presented & served quickly, which is perfect for a pre-theatre meal.Portions are spot on for either 2 or 3 courses, so you don't leave feeling too full or still hungry. And the set menus are fantastic value The staff at the St Martin's restaurant are always friendly & courteous. Love eating here
Warm welcome, courteous and efficient service, delicious food competitively priced
The waiter who served us was absolutely excellent, warm and friendly. The whole team was highly efficient and worked like a beautifully choreographed ballet, serving our meal quickly to allow us to get to the theatre without ever making things seem rushed. All 5 of us were delighted with our meals.
The food was good and the staff dealt with our requirements fairly well. Only after I ordered was I told there was a vegetarian menu which was disappointing as I didn’t have enough time before theatre to look at this menu. Overall it was good.
Fast and friendly service. The food is a bit too “ready prepared & quick microwave “.
As always a beautiful venue a pleasure to be there.
Yet another delightful dining experience we were all welcomed and well looked after as usual. Frandi and his team are always courteous having time for everyone knowing the pressure they were under. Frandi is a great asset having met him on previous visits I sensed the team enjoy his motivational skills. He was here there and everywhere. Also our server Ondina was very attentive in ensuring we were well looked after never loosing her lovely smile and warmth. Thank you, the set menu choice was thoroughly enjoyable we have booked again for six on Saturday 25 April. Again thank you One and All. Harvey Pascoe
Great bistro, good ambiance and service, handy location for theatre
Great food, good price, very efficient and friendly service. Perfect!
Really good meal & reasonably priced. Good efficient service. Lovely atmosphere
Excellence service , lovely food, reasonable prices, cool atmosphere. Would recommend to friends.
The Cote at St Martins Lane is always busy, but we found the staff as usual friendly and professional at all times. The food was tasty and well presented so could not ask for more. The atmosphere was noisy but it was pretheatre on a Friday evening, however it was not unpleasant.
Good food and excellent service. Ideal if you are in a rush for the theatre.
The fish parmentier was very dry and had to send it back. No one came over and apologised or offered anything else. We asked for the bill and it took for us to walk up to the staff to request and pay the bill before we were able to. Really poor experience and disappointing considering we visit a Cote regularly.
Fabulous as always ☺ The prestige menu is a winner every time!
An unhurried catch up lunch with old friends, in the warmth of our favourite Cote in the perfect location with the perfect staff, fabulous food and a lovely buzzy atmosphere. We'll be back soon!
Mushroom brioche cold and bread burnt on one side. Fish cakes okay. The best was chocolate pot dessert. It was great. Very noisy at 1500 and tables very close to each othet
Always a winner in Cote!! Love it! Food, wine, service, excellent!!
Although the restaurant was busy, the service was good and the food acceptable and good value.
We come to the restaurant about once every two weeks and are always extremely happy with the service and standard of food. This time the service was as amazing as ever and our starter and mains were incredible. Only issue we had was with the dessert. I chose the special which was Profiteroles. They came out burnt and tasted awful. I sent the foot back and our waiter couldn’t have been more than apologetic and comped my boyfriends dessert and apologised once again at the end of the evening. We also had a table next to us that complained about their starters and couldn’t eat them. As I said at the start we are regulars at the restaurant and have never felt the need to complain before so I’m guessing it was just an off night
Very good food, nice table with plenty of space around and efficient service. Wine was a bit on the expensive side but good quality and much enjoyed.
We had supper after the theatre and enjoyed our usual steak frites. The only downside was the man sitting at the next table who coughed and sneezed for about 5 minutes without covering his face!
Very fast and attentive service. The food was excellent as always!
Obviously well run with fast service, competitive prices, and good food. A bit frenetic and overcrowded though. To be fair, we were there for a pre-show supper, so what could we expect?
Very good, quick pre-theatre dinner. Excellent food and good value. Our usual choice when visiting the theatre.
Good, friendly service. Staff offerred suggestions of drinks to complement the meal. I ordered the salmon, which had a tough exterior and was okay on the inside. The creme caramel was very good. A bit loud on the inside but not so much that you cant hear your table mates.
I have eaten at Cote many times and mostly it's been really enjoyable. Last night, however, the food was disappointing. The belly of pork was dry rather than succulent and more importantly, the vegetables were overcooked. Beans were actually grey! Potatoes dry. The only vegetable that was really nice was the tomato salad which wasn't cooked of course. No excuse it seems to me because the restaurant was almost empty. What happened?
They had run out of sea bream, which we were not told about until it came to order; and then the waiter brought out the wrong dishes. They should have binned the compulsory gratuity for service, or we should have refused to pay it, but who needs the unpleasantness?
Lovely food Wonderful service Great atmosphere Fast wait time Perfect :)
Our meal was excellent. However the fennel with one of the dishes was very under-cooked. Our comments to the manager about this were handled very well and we will definitely return to Cote restaurants in the future
Enjoyed a lovely meal and evening here last Friday night. Service was excellent and food delicious. Maitr' D was especially attentive to my friend's numerous food intolerances. Good wine list too.
Always fabulous food and great atmosphere! The service and manner is impeccable!
