adapted easily to one very late arrival, food overall very good and staff were excellent at replenishing drinks etc. all in all a good experience
A great meal in a restaurant with a good ambience. Despite being full the service was very good and the waitress looked after our every need.
We are so grateful to the waiter who picked up the fact that five of us were celebrating our 70 birthdays and offered us a glass of prosecco with kir on the house, which was most welcome. The service was also excellent.
Food was very good. Our waitress was very helpful - sorting out what I could eat off the menu (I can't eat garlic ) The restaurant was rather too noisy for our preference
We do like this restaurant and really enjoyed our meal which was served in a timely fashion. This was important as we were going to the theatre afterwards.
Very lovely staff just like every Cote, they can't do enough for you. Lovely location as well, will definitely be returning next time we are in London.
I have eaten at Cote Brasserie in other places and had high hopes for a good experience. I was not disappointed good food reasonably priced and good service. We all enjoyed our time there.
The restaurant is located very close to the London Coliseum Theatre in St Martins lane. Although very busy and quite noisy the food and service was good, and as all cote restaurant's very reasonably priced Ideal for a quick pre theatre meal perhaps not the best choice for somewhere to linger over a leisurely meal
Lovely service, delicious food and a great location for the theatres. Have visited several times before and always find the staff friendly and helpful. We had the dinner set menu and I can recommend the Breaded Chicken.
Prompt service for main course but desert and coffee service slow, they should be better for a pre theatre meal. Meal was fine otherwise. Waiter was polite and friendly
We arrived early for our pre theatre dinner and were immediately given great attention and assistance by our charming Spanish waiter. The food was excellent and the gluten free menu perfect.
do book in advance as it gets busy between 5.30 - 7.15pm. The special menu before 7 pm is worth it. You can have 2 course or 3 courses.
The best value restaurant in the West End. We had the three course set menu, the place was buzzing but the staff had it running like clockwork so efficient. Although I have eaten at Cote several times, my husband who had never eaten there before was astonished at the quality and price of the meal. Always my first choice for lunch or dinner when in London
Efficient, friendly staff & good food. Been on a number of occasions always ok. i cant thonk of aything else and dont have time to
Very reliable. Normally busy so reservation recommended. Really convenient for Charing Cross Road and St Martins Lane theatres. Some might say the food and menu doesn't vary much but we have our favourites so really don't mind. Mainly the food is simple but always good
Excellent value pre-theatre menu. Although very busy, food was delivered promptly and was good quality. Good selection though couple of items not available. Will return without hesitation.
Pre theatre menu good value, service fine. In time for the show. Nice ambience. You ask for to many words. Five m8re lette4s. N n
Great service, lots of fun, great staff coped with a full clientele and that meant we did not have to wait. The Fleurie house wine was just fine, as it should be,
My friends and I had a fabulous meal and the complimentary wine was really good too. Our waiter was one of the friendliest waiters ever.We loved it
Great food and service and very reasonable prices. It's our regular haunt when we visit London. The pre-theatre menu is great value and daily specials too.
We had a great experience at Cote thank you.The welcome was friendly and the food was excellent. The whole ambience was relaxed and pleasant. Thank you.
Good service. Prix fix menu was good value for money. Reservation advisable for pre theatre dining as restaurant was very busy. Would go again I. The future
We have been to this restauarant many times, but were disappointed to wait at our table for over 20 minutes before we were even offered water. Not good enough!
the food excellent and the server was as well. She had a great personality and was very attentive. Love this location on of the best cote
Disappointing. I booked a pre-theatre dinner at this restaurant which was extremely busy. My wife was given the wrong meal (fish not chicken as ordered) so by the time her correct meal arrived I had finished mine. When the bill arrived I had been charged for the correct meal and the incorrect one !!! Food was quite good when it arrived but disappointing start to an evening out. We may just have been unlucky as the restaurant was full and clearly very popular with theatre goers but next time in London I'll look for somewhere else. Twelve and a half percent automatically added to the bill for service - I was quite surprised they had the cheek to add this to our bill after all the mistakes !!
Service was excellent as always. Their recruitment or their training is exceptional - probably both. My wife and I had the two course lunch before going to the theatre. Excellent value. The blood orange and fennel starter was superb and both our steak frites filling without feeling stuffed. Thanks again. We will return in two weeks time on our next theatre matinee visit
Lovely meal and great value for money - good service and lovely atmostphere. Great choice for our family meal in London - thank you - we will be back
Very welcoming staff, excellent service and lovely food. Cannot fault it in any way. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend it. Loved the crumble!
Great food but the service was rushed and at times impolite. Their Set menu offers great value and speedy enough for a pre theatre venue
Good meal, excellent service and very good value. Can't imagine anywhere better for a pre-theatre meal in London. The pre-theatre set meal is just what you want with plenty of choice
Party of three for dinner before a show. Booking was easy, reception on arrival was very efficient and friendly, seating, surrounding and atmosphere all good. Waitress was friendly and professional. Three course meal was excellent for all three meals. Thoroughly recommend Cote.
Both food and service very good. Good wines to compliment variety of dishes. Monthly change of Specials gives us something extra to look forward to.
Refunded 2x £12.50 2 course Set menus as introductory Cote Rewards gift as alternative to free bottle of wine because teetotal. How kind is that! Food was top quality as always.
My friend and I greatly enjoyed our lunch with you and were very impressed how we weren't made to feel that we were overstaying our welcome, particularly as we were there for over 4 hours! Nor were we hassled. Very commendable.
I regularly eat at Cote in different restaurants. This is a very busy restaurant with pre theatre dining but there didn't appear to be enough staff. The food was mediocre which is unusual for Cote as I normally enjoy the food.
This was our first visit to a Cote Brasserie. We found the food, and service good and surprisingly good value. Thankyou for a great table
We visited Cote St Martins Lane for lunch this afternoon. Excellent experience as always. Both food and service were very nice. Will definitely come back there.
Great location and maintains the usual good standards that I have come to expect from Cote. Lovely food and good service. Nice atmosphere and excellent menu.
We had the set menu before a matinee. Although, it was very busy the service was very quick and the food delicious and very good value. I would thoroughly recommend Cote but do make sure you book !!!!
Decent food, good wine, pleasant and prompt service at good value. Overall a very enjoyable pre-theatre meal for two at a reasonable price. Will definitely eat there again.
Good atmosphere with prompt and pleasant service. The pre-theatre menu is tasty food at a reasonable price. You have to book ahead to ensure a table.
The food was of excellent quality and good value for money. The service was efficient and the atmosphere good. Overall it was a great night out.
Excellent food, happy waiting staff who were very obliging. Service was prompt without making you feel that they wanted the table free. I can recommend the pancake dessert.
My wife and I had a very good lunch here. The food was well prepared and excellent value our waitress was charming and efficient. An enjoyable experience!
Lovely food and very good service The restaurant was too hot though. Almost unbearably so but everything else was fine. Definitely will use cote again
This is a convenient location. Plenty of choice and a good set menu. The creme caramel is the best ever. Reasonable prices. Gets busy so need to book.
Excellent and extremely friendly service at a very busy time of the week, with all food at its usual high standard at Cote's. Well done!
This is a really great place for pre-theatre dinner and its easy to get to from Leicester Square or Covent Garden. Quick, friendly service, very reasonably priced, and the food was very tasty.
Restaurant in the heart of theatreland. Despite being extremely busy the staff were efficient and friendly. Food is consistently good at Cote and never disappoints.
Having been loyal and enthusiastic customers of Cote for many years, sadly its time for us to move on. Our last two meals at Cote have both been BIG disappointments. Firstly at Tavistock Street, a month ago the service was very poor, this time St. Martins Lane, the food was well below what we have come to expect. 4 dishes (in our party of 9) were cold and had to go back (2 others were also cold but they decided to persevere) What we did eat - Chicken was dry, steak was tough and service was dreadfully slow. All in all not good. Having booked Cote literally scores of times, they will not get our booking next time in town. I can only think that previously high standards have gone to their head and complacency takes over. - Obviously there is plenty of choice in London and we will now vote with our feet. - Shame
