Staff helpful and friendly. Good service despite being very busy. Good value food and will definitely go back when we visit London again for the theatre
Good bistro food, & very good value for central London. Very popular, with a queue at the door. Lots of people turned away. You must book to ensure places.
Great value. Great service. We enjoyed our lunch and the wine was good too. We had two courses specked and timed very well indeed. Thanks
We went to Cotes St Martins lane prior to going to the theatre it was fantastic service .... delightful food at a reasonable price for London
The restaurant was very busy but were not rushed or pressed to order. Staff were all helpful and the food is reasonably price with a good range of side dishes. There is a range of vegetarian options.
Very busy Cote but food and service still good and up to the usual high Cote standards. The set menu is very good value for money and tasty too.
Lovely atmosphere and food great. Will go again. All complaints were dealt with and put right immediately by the manager i assume who was a great young lady.
Very good pre-theatre menu choices. The meal was just right, well cooked and the service was friendly, efficient and not too intrusive. A very popular venue.
Excellent fare, charming, efficient service. Creme caramel the best this side of the moon. Geared for hungry, busy theatregoers with refined palates. I'll be back!!
Decent food at reasonable prices but the portions seem to be getting smaller and the service is very slow because the restaurant crams so many people in.
Good food at great prices & great staff & atmosphere Good location & set menu is one of the best around for value & quality
Very nice staff, pleasant and not intrusive. Good table - not crammed in. My choice of starter (scallops from the specials menu) was not available, so I changed to the calamari. It was over-fried, the batter dry and not very hot. It left a lingering greasy taste. My main course, the risotto vert, had plenty of vegetable in, but was too creamy for my taste and almost stodgy. I could only eat half of it. I am a regular at a number of Cote restaurants and this is below the usual very good standard. I left disappointed.
We had an excellent meal with friendly and efficient service at very reasonsble prices. The menu offers a wide choice including lighter dishes, meaning it's great for a pre-theatre meal and the pre-theatre set menu is truly a bargain. Will definitely come back.
Thank goodness we booked! An excellent pre theatre meal . Fantastic staff - amazingly busy but so attentive. You made our evening, thank you !
Food was good, service very good, would have liked a little more space between tables so that we didn't feel included in our neighbours conversations!
Despite being an extremely busy time for the restaurant, the staff were friendly & efficient and the food was the usual good standard for Cote Brasserie.
We recently enjoyed a three course lunch from the lunch and early evening menu. The menu offered plenty of choice, we were served by polite and efficient staff and we enjoyed our selection.
Staff were very attentive and friendly. A busy restaurant at lunch, but to be expected considering the location, but service was remarkably attentive. Very good for a working lunch.
This was our second visit in 5 days - so you know that it must have been good. Food and value very good. Eveyone found their meals delicious. Service was fine, albeit slow because they are so busy. On the second occasion I watched our waiter rushing around, never having a moment to spare, even to talk to us at the table. When we went up for more more water the manager/ person in charge always seemed to anticipate with complete air of relaxation and charm. I suppose that comes with experience and why he has the job he has! But THEY ARE BUSY - so, if you are going for a theatre performance, would recommend at least 2 hours. Long queue for ladies' toilets added to the stress of having to get somewhere on time.
Great service, comfortable seats and lovely food. Couldn't be any better, and such a central location for London. Good value for money too. Will come again.
Good food and service ! What more can one ask ? Soup excellent and the haddock par entire very tasty. But that is why we always come back to Cote for more.
Friendly, also very busy but this was what made it buzzy, food and service good and really quick which helped as needed to get away for a show
Very busy and crowded from as early as five pm ---the noise levels were very high especially as the music was loud ,an interesting experience with good food spoil the by over crowding
Very pleasant staff, and the food was well cooked, however I would of rated the experience as a 5 but a side dish was delivered after we had completed our meal.
helpful and jolly staff nothing too much trouble-had a chicken breast which was a bit tough. We all enjoyed eveyrthing else about our visit was very good.
Didn't enjoy this meal as much as usual. My Eggs Florentine looked and tasted as though they had been cooked some time ago. My companion's ribeye steak was not very nice. Have had much better meals at Cote. Service excellent as always
Slight mix up with food but good quality overall. Friendly staff but not all able to explain the menu nor describe which dish was which on arrival. Nice location. Busy. Good set menu. Tasty food at reasonable prices.
Nice family restaurant with good service. There was a good selection on the menu and the set menu is good value. We will be back.
the usual reliable food. but it was very busy tonight and the service was a bit hit and miss although the staff were, as always, charming.
Packed, but Service was absolutely on the mark. Not a second too slow, not a second too fast, with a smile. Food was great too!
Brilliant lunch, great atmosphere, waiting staff were excellent. We had the Calamari starter, butterfly chicken, and chocolate fondant to finish, all were excellent! We highly recommend this St Martins Lane Brassiere.
Great place to meet friends and with good food and drinks. The price of the foods is on average and the quality is very good.
Service prompt and friendly. Food well presented and tasty. Nothing else to say. All good. Would return. It was very busy. Would suggest customers book.
Good reception, good service and good food and wine. Good atmosphere overall with just a little problem with a noisy table nearby. Cote is impressive as normal
Good food - Iust say I really enjoyed the beetroot salad (it wasn't warm though) and the chicken with gratin potatoes and a cream mushroom sauce was delicious. But OMG sooo noisy in there. Don't go if you want to have a conversation!
Very busy after 5 pm so booking highly recommended. Food very good and service friendly and prompt. Very convenient for several theatres in Strand and St Martin's Lane.
Great atmosphere and good service. The meal was not rushed which allowed us to have a relaxed evening. The food was rated highly by all members of our party.
Very good steak frites. Always like the atmosphere. The service was prompt and, given that I had a train to catch, that was very welcome.
Normally highly rated. This time lamb unavailable, soup had to be reheated, chicken special dry tasteless & cost refunded by courteous staff who also offered a replacement dish.
Very easy to make a reservation online. Good food and service despite being a very busy Saturday evening. Used Chichester, Salisbury and West End all have the same high standard.
Really delicious breakfast at Cote, Covent Garden. The staff couldn't have been more helpful in making a small substitution for one of the items. As always, Cote excels!
Very good waiter. Very convenient for Duke of York's theatre which is virtually opposite. Always enjoy the steak frites. Shame no aperol available from the bar.
Had a great evening. The pre-theatre menu has great value and the food, wine and service were amazing. I would go to this restaurant again
Nice restaurant. Will return again. 12.5% gratuity added to bill and marked as Optional, even though they add it before showing the Total amount. Gave them feedback that gratuity (which we didn't mind paying) should be added after the Total (food & beverage) amount but they didn't receive the feedback too kindly.
Delicious food, but the service was a bit slow and we ordered bread and it didn't come. It was a busy evening, so the staff were rushed off and distracted.
It was a very enjoyable meal, pre-theatre. It appeared to be important to book, as we saw many people turned away. Although busy, service was good.
The restaurant was as busy (and therefore noisy!) as usual and good value. A couple of dishes were unavailable but had substitutes, and, overall, we had a very good meal.
I thought the restaurant was good. I was served promptly but without rushing. The food was enjoyable. The portion size good. The staff were good.
Great service but one or two issues with the food. Lamb served with blue cheese was a strange, unpalatable combination. Meagre portions of some dishes - not as other Cote branches. Steak Tartare was tiny unseasoned and not traditionally made. Scallops tiny, barely cooked and swimming in oil. The service made up for the shortfalls in the Chef's abilities and we will be back. Thanks to Aurora our waitress for holding it all together.
Very pleasant restaurant and excellent food although a bit noisy in the evening! H I will definitely go back ! A bientot tout le monde!
