Really buzzy place. Cannot speak highly enough of the pre theatre menu. Staff were prompt and attentive. Only a short walk to the theatre. A pleasant hour and a half
We are big supporters of Cotes, lovely food, great atmosphere, but unfortunately that day the service was extremely slow. We had to wait very long periods which was not very professional. Overall, that day the whole experience was ok to good, not excellent.
The Cote Brassiere has a welcoming relaxed atmosphere. The choice of dishes is wide and varied and very appealing. The staff are courteous and friendly an enjoyable dining experience.
The food was great and the food came quite fast, as well as there being reasonable prices! The waiter also recommended a great bottle of rose.
Booked a table for 6:30. Very busy on Wednesday night. Tomato salad as starter was a bit boring and very small quantity. Omelette as main wasn't exciting either. Had a bottle of white wine as it was a hot evening. The waiter knew we needed a bottle cooler, but just ignored our request until we repeatedly had asked three times.
Food good, but service a little slow. Overall a good choice to meet friends visiting from New Zealand. V busy at 6.30 but thinned out so the noise level dropped and we could hear ourselves talk.
Very helpful and efficient staff. good quality food, well presented and excellent value for money. The complementary Kir Royale was a real treat. The special lunch menu is especially good value.
Excellent pre theatre option. Good food at a good price and with excellent, prompt and friendly service. I recommend dining here, particularly the pre theatre option
Excellent service. Good well cooked food at reasonable prices. You really need to book to be certain of a table with no waiting, especially before and after theatre performances.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful and helped make our day very special. the service was quick and the food delicious. Thank you
I used Cote restaurants on a regular basis, they are excellent. The staff and the service is first class and the food they provide is excellent.
A lovely meal and very friendly and professional staff. Excellent value for money, we had the pre theatre menu, and we were served very quickly enabling us to get to out theatre in plenty of time.
Very reliable chain with good food and a pleasant buzzy atmosphere, reasonably quick service and no pressure to leave asap. Not the most exciting lunch but always enjoyable.
3 course dinner for £14 was served and finished within the hour which was perfect for a theatre trip. The waitress we had worked tirelessly. Great location too
Great value with good food and pleasant staff. A great place to eat before a show. Reservations a must as it is a very busy spot.
We had the three course lunch before going to the theatre. Extremely good value, very tasty, lovely staff and good atmosphere. Would certainly recommend it.
Excellent service and friendly staff. The best smile at the door that I have ever seen. Efficient and good summer pre-theatre menu. All the waiting staff supported each other creating a friendly atmosphere.
Restaurant was busy and buzzy as always. I had the fish cake, which was under-seasoned for my liking and could have done with a bit more fish and bit less potato. There were also a few bones. Overall experience was good and value for money.
The food as usual was good and the service we received was also good. The restaurant became quite busy as it was during the lunch time but the service was still fine and we were well looked after.
Friendly efficient service. Enjoyed the menu items selected, Would not hesitate returning and recommend to others. Great ocation for proximity to Noel Coward Theatre. On St. Martin Lane.l
The Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was very good and came out in a reasonable time. even though it was very busy. Really good, happy atmosphere. Will be returning.
Food was good. So was our waitress. However we waited over 30 minutes for dessert, which we had to chase up. No explanation as to what happened.
As outstanding quality and value as ever. We come here every time we go to the theatre in London and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended!
Excellent choice of food from the a la carte menu which was delicious and good service even though the restaurant was packed. Would definitely recommend a visit.
Nice staff but rushed off their feet. Too busy and too many tables crammed together. Not exactly a relaxing dining experience. Other branches are better.
Seated downstairs in low ceiling room directly under air con vent . System on full blowing cold air , asked to be moved told no other table was available although others were empty . Waitress offered to turn off air con which she did , this made situation more tolerable until other waiting staff turned system back on to full . This did overshadow the dining experience a great deal . Food was excellent however .
We booked a lunchtime table for four. Always previously had a good experience at various Cote's around the country. Unfortunately today wasn't one of them. 3 of us ordered the steak frites - all 3 were tough as old boots. It gives me little confidence in ordering steak there on future occasions. My wife, who had the sea bream, was delighted with hers though. Staff were quick and polite as always. Thank you.
Lovely pre theatre lunch. Booked in advance. Two courses £12.50. It was good value and included a free kir royale, as going to a show.
Always good. Never been to St Martins lane but equally good. No hesitation ever to go there. Not too keen on the tuna starter but it was ok. Thanks again for a lovely evening with good staff.
The food was delicious, well prepared and presented. Despite being full and extremely busy, the staff were very efficient and pleasant, ensuring that the order was taken and brought promptly. The restaurant was clean and the decor stylish and tasteful. The pre-theatre menu was diverse and very well priced. I would recommend this Cote most highly and would return again.
service very slow , only 3 out of 4 starters arrived ...... not as good as usual . it was the end of the evening but it should still be better than this .
The food was tasty and comforting, atmosphere was good. Just would have been nice if there wasn't a mouse running round our feet all evening.
Staters were good - French onion soup was tasty, the stock being very good. Also, black pudding with poached egg, apple and salad went down well. Sadly, the mains did not match the quality of the starters. The fish pie had "yellow" cheese on top, the flavour of which totally overpowered the fish. The half chicken was extremely dry and needed the Provençal sauce which we had purchased. Overall experience, a "curate's egg" - good in parts.
Very busy so felt neglected at times. Also poor located table meant those waiting for a table were hovering over us. Other than that, food excellent as always and staff friendly.
I had a meal by myself but did not feel uncomfortable as friendly staff. Meal was fantastic and I would recommend to friends that dine alone.
Excellent food and service as usual. The steak and the sea bream, particularly good The busy pre theatre atmosphere makes this a charming venue cheers
Very busy pre theatre crowd, therefore not much room between tables. Food excellent. Had the crab starter, then the chicken, ordered with an additional side of fries. Husband had asparagus soup, with side order of bread, followed by the omelette which he said was the best he had eaten for a while. Complimentary water. Staff very professional, 12.5% service charge added to the bill, but very obvious it was there. Would eat there again. Very close to theatre land.
Our first visit to a Cote Brasserie, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The menu choice was good, food was tasty, portions just right and the service was excellent. On top of everything, the value for money is very good, especially if you eat off the pre-theatre menu. We will definitely be back!
Excellent, food, great value for money and very pleasant and speedy service. I am rarely disappointed in Cote and would happily recommend this branch and will return.
Overall it was very nice. It was Good food and a great location. Definitely advise booking on the weekend as it can get quite busy.
Had the pre-theatre menu. Cod goujons - 5 small pieces of fish - more batter than anything. Smaller portion of chips than in the Cote I usually go to. Person who showed us to table not too pleased when we asked to sit somewhere else. Stayed where we were shown to, tables so close together it had to be moved to allow me to squeeze onto the banquet (I am not huge). Service of food was efficient and friendly.
My previous visit the service and food was very very good. This time the steak was overcooked - no apology. I had to ask for water every time we needed it. I asked for extra milk for coffee and was given the normal amount. Staff talked to each other and rarely looked over when we needed them in spite of the restaurant being half full. The last time it was almost full and the waitress was totally attentive.
Service was good and very quick which is ideal for a pre theatre meal. The set menu was extremely good value. Booking at this venue pre theatre is a must
We always look forward to visiting one of your London restaurants. The food is good value and we particularly appreciate your very attentive and efficient staff.
Good meal, sat by the window with the doors open which was really good. Food was excellent, friendly service, glad I booked as there were lots of people turned away😀
Food and service were very good, however the experience was spoiled by a noisy and disruptive table next to us which staff seemed unwilling to address.
Starter was dry. Sea Bream was lovely and as usual creme caramel was Devine. Muscadet wine very pleasant. Staff very nice and efficient. Cost was fair
As usual, really good food at exceptional value. The starters were all great and the steaks superb. The risotto was ok but not the best I have had. Desserts, as usual, excellent. Friendly service.
Excellent service and delicious food as always with good ambience and attentive staff This is Our favourite dining experience when going to a show especially
We had an excellent meal at Cote in St,Martins Lane with exceptional service. The food was very good and certainly value for money. We will definitely go again when we are in the area
